I have taught students from beginner to intermediate with progress in 3 months when practicing & following instructions.

My name is Rufus and I am eager to share my 50 + years of drum experience to help you reach your desired playing goals, you will learn the basics and begin to find your own rhythm as a drummer...let me show you how you can be the best drummer possible!

Rufus is a dedicated drum instructor who is keenly interested in seeing his students improve.  We have seen our son rapidly progress with the drums over a short period of time and look forward to seeing Rufus develop his skills further.

Rufus is an amazing instructor!  He connects and encourages, with high expectations and great results.  Our daughter has shown significant progress and now has the confidence to join her high school band.

GREAT INSTRUCTOR!! I am 48yo and was apprehensive about trying to learn something new at my age. I've had three lessons thu far and have been enjoying this to the fullest. Rufus keeps the lessons fun and interestng by adding different assignments for me to work on throughout my week. The key is to practice; which, I have embraced and I actually like. I bought a drum set after my 2nd lesson. Rufus came to my house to help me set everything up and tune my drums. He blessed my drums by playing for a few minutes while I stood back and grinned like a 10yo. I jumped on next hoping my drums would sound the same as when he played (they didn't). But that's okay, they will someday. I will be a student with him for a while!!

Hi, I just started taking lessons and I absolutely love it! I have an excellent teacher that takes his time to show me the right techniques and fundamentals to achieve the goal of playing professional. He has great expertise and pushes me to be the best. He makes sure I understand why I need to do certain things such as rudiments and learning to read notes. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. Rufus was fantastic.  Arrived early and got right into the lesson.  Lots of energy and enthusiasm.  My 13 yr old got a lot out of it and can't wait until his next lesson!

Great teacher. Teaching in steps and then adding more to it and repeating is the best way to go and Rufus is doing just that with me. All ready in 3rd lesson as a beginner and im getting the hand of it pretty quick. I will learn this song in no time and perhaps a few more just for the fun of it.
