One of my favorite quotes from my favorite movie, Almost Famous: "So Russell, what do you love about music?" "To begin with...everything." My musical background is probably like many other teachers - Masters of Music, 10+ years teaching experience, etc. Here are some characteristics that I think set me apart: Broad Music Style and Interest - On any given day, I can listen to, perform, practice, or play everything from the Beatles to Bach to the Beastie Boys Extensive Training - I studied with the Principal Harpist of the Philadelphia Orchestra and have performed with the prestigious Curtis Symphony Orchestra Focused but Fun - I keep students on task but have a light hearted, humorous approach to teaching. Adaptible - I've been teaching for over 10 years and believe I have a fresh approach to an outdated teaching method. I recognize that not all teaching approaches work the same on every student and am able to shift accordingly. Communicative - I'm available anytime if you have any questions during your practice during the week. I accept text messages and videos. I support you at all times!
