I love to sing, and so should you! In our singing lessons, I like to make the lesson specific to your individual needs and goals. We start with warm ups, focus on different techniques and styles, breathing/breath control, song choice, performance, and more!

About Brianna
Hi, I'm Bri! I'm a graduate of North Central College with a BA in Music (Emphasis in Composition and Percussion) and a minor in History. I absolutely love music, every single aspect of it. I love to make music a part of everybody's lives who want and need it. I want to help you with your musical needs. I have been playing percussion for 17 years, singing for 23, and playing piano for 19 years. I was a member of a recording and performing Chicago band, Oblio and Arrow, where I provided backing vocals and helped with the song arrangements. I also record vocals for different artists hooks, jingles, choruses, and entire songs (covers and originals).

History has always fascinated me. They way our world has developed and changed, and continues to evolve is amazing. Everything can be tied back to the past, and I feel it's important to take
a look back, put yourself in that time, and really study how things were to help understand why things are the way they are now.

Crocheting and knitting are a couple of good habits/hobbies I picked up about 8 years ago. I sell scarves online and I'm always working on some sort of project. I will have you knitting and pearling with the best of them!

Music, history, crochet, and knitting....I'm your girl!

From beginners to singers that want to improve parts of their voice.

Learn proper breathing and control.

Learn to sing in pitch better and strength conditioning.

Learn how to get over stage fright and singing in front of people.

About Paul
***My goal as a teacher***

I try to teach what the students are interested in and make it fun and interesting so that they learn the lessons and their favorite songs. Every student is different and needs to be taught in a way that makes learning easy and fun for them.

I have a passion for all people and all ages and am blessed to be able to teach from the very young, (ages 2-5 Toddlermusik lessons) to teens and adults.....all the way to senior citizens. I've had many older students all the way up to a 93 year old gentleman who is taking singing lessons and asked me to put music to his lyrics. We have recorded over 50 songs together.

***Background***

I started playing trumpet in 5th grade and knew that music was for me. I also liked playing with drums and piano also because they seemed exciting. I've competed in WSMA (Wi
sconsin School Music Assoc.) for many years which taught me a lot about performing for judges, being relaxed, and the importance of preparation.

I started playing the guitar and bass guitar when I was 13 and have never stopped practicing and performing since. I also have done a lot of writing, recording, producing, and have a Pro Tools Studio for students to use.

***College and Teaching***

I began teaching music lessons in college and enjoyed it very much. I received my B.A. in Music from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. There I was very much involved with guitar, piano, voice, trumpet, and being in bands and writing music. After receiving my B.A. I also took 3 years of Education classes at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. I write, produce, and perform my music along with performing with bands around the Midwest.

***Life in Music***

After receiving my B.A. in Music, I continued teaching and opened up my home studio. After a year and a half I had enough students that I was able to quit my factory job and teach music full time. I've been teaching, performing, and writing music ever since.

***Performing and more***

I have been on stage performing music since I was 11. In school band, marching band, competing in music competitions, and in bands touring the Midwest.

I have recorded many CDs with bands and on my own. My most ambitious project was a CD of my original music called, "Girls". I've performed my music and promoted it by being interviewed on Milwaukee radio stations along with internet music sites such as CD Baby. It is very exciting talking on live radio about my music and my passion. It is also even more exciting, and scary, playing my music live on the radio, lol.

***Instruments Taught***

I have been teaching for over 2 decades. Students take lessons for:
* guitar (electric / acoustic)
* piano
* voice
* drums
* trumpet
* saxophone
* harmonica
* music theory / ear training
* studio recording / songwriting

I also give kindermusik lessons to 2-5 year old all the way up to senior citizens 70-93. I play parties, concerts, and Nursing Home performances.

I am experienced as an online (Skype) instructor, and I have taught online lessons worldwide. I've witnessed great results from my online students (both national and international).

I hope I can help you with all of your musical goals and get you going in a positive musical direction.

I meet Paul about three months ago, While not a complete beginner, I had tried to teach myself thru out the years and picked up a lot of bad habits. Paul helped me to see and fix my habits. Paul is a very qualified teacher, of many instruments, drums, keyboards, guitar, and others. I'm 59 years old, Paul doesn't mind my age, doesn't treat me like I'm too old to learn new stuff. And is more than willing to see me thru complete guitar instruction. Thanks Paul...

1. Mo guarantees progress in these 5 concepts of singing:

-Range (how high and low a vocalist can sing)

-Power (how impactful a vocalist can sound while maintaining healthy and sustainable technique)

-Freedom (removing detrimental tension and strain from the voice and body)

-Artistry (a vocalist's ability to effectively and authentically sing in any genre)

I love working with all age groups! I have been performing Broadway, old standards, and jazz in addition to sacred music since I was sixteen. While I advocate healthy and traditional vocal technique, I am extremely flexible to student repertoire choices and have taught pop tunes such as Bohemian Rhapsody to full choir with much success. My focus is to strengthen student ears so that they may eventually become their own teacher.

About Kristen
I am a professional vocalist, clarinetist, and music teacher that wants you to succeed! I have performed as a semifinalist in international competitions, performed as an orchestra member in three opera productions in Italy, and performed orchestra concerts at Yale University, the New World Center, and other notable venues. Additionally, I have receive full-tuition scholarships to perform in music festivals. I have had instruction through private lessons and masterclasses with acclaimed clarinetists such as Charles Neidich, Frank Cohen, and Ayako Oshima. While I love to perform, I have a great interest in teaching, as a college-level ear training tutor as well as student teaching experience in elementary/high school band, jazz band, high school choir, and music theory. I am a big proponent of music's benefits to the mind-body connection
and I love to incorporate movement-related techniques, such as yoga and breathing exercises, to fully integrate musical and physical exercises

Working with Amanda Baker during the spring of 2017 truly revolutionized the way I think about my voice. We explored techniques that enabled me to understand the ease required for singing above the staff, as well as the intricacies of resonance. The time we spent together was an amazing stepping stone for the Young artist opera program I attended during the summer of 2017. If not for our working together I would not have performed as successfully as I did. She was extremely prudent, diligent, compassionate, and encouraging. She is a grade-A 5-star teacher in my book!

Experienced singer and teacher with a degree in vocal music education. I focus on learning to control the voice in all of its aspects so that it can be used to sing any and all styles. My go to styles are classical and musical theater, which I have been teaching and performing since I graduated college in 2016. My lessons are catered to the desires of the individual student, whose progress I will be tracking so that I can provide weekly updates. I also have a background in composition and theory that I can use to teach the basics of music to beginners.

About Coltyn
I am a professional singer in the Milwaukee area currently performing with a band that plays original pop/rock music and as a member of several professional choruses, such as Bel Canto, in which I am a section leader and soloist. I learned to sing by taking lessons at a young age which progressed into a degree in vocal music education from Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. After teaching at two different schools in the Greater Milwaukee Area I moved onto teaching individual voice lessons, as it fit my teaching style better.

Students taking lessons in my studio can expect to learn something new every week while reviewing old material to maintain peak performance level. I pick lessons based on fixing flaws in individual voices that I hear as well as building strengths. I've narrowed all vocal techniques into a list of seven categor
ies, from which I pick one per week to focus on. The list is: 1. Thinking 2. Posture 3. Breathing 4. Phonation 5. Resonance 6. Articulation and 7. Communication.

Once students understand what they are doing and how to control it, they will be able to sing whatever style song they would like. It is my philosophy that good singing should never be an accident.
