Nick coached my daughter, Ann, through her South Bay Teen Idol Competition, in which she was a finalist. Ann was competing against singers with more years of experience, but the superior quality of Nick's instruction enabled her to be competitive.
Understanding the Basics - goes over how to navigate the interface, basic shortcut keys, adding text, working with images, and other features to get you up and running as quickly as possible. Layers - shows you how to combine multiple images, resize them, split them apart, and add in color boxes. Selections - starts by showing how to remove simple images from a photograph and finishes by showing how to select out strands of hair and change the background. Color Correction - goes from simple corrections to in depth theory. It uses this theory to fix complicated photographs, change the color of a shirt from yellow to green, and even turn part of an image into black and white. Object Removal - isn't just about how to remove a pimple. It covers removing wires, large objects such as a fencepost, and even how to get rid of something like a date stamp when it is in front of a person's face. Beauty Retouching - I show you how to remove wrinkles, increase the size of an eye or decrease ...
I am a highly organized, outcome-driven and motivated professional musician and educator with solid experience in the classroom. For the past 25 years, I have been employed with Amati music academy and seven years on the faculty of University of St Francis. I am very comfortable with all aspects of the current music syllabus, including teaching musical concepts (such as duration, pitch, dynamics, tone color, texture and structure) as well as performance, composition. I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Education in Music, Double Masters in music performance and education from University of Nottingham. I am proficient in classical, jazz and Celtic fiddle violin and possess solid skills in piano (grade 8-13) Royal conservatory system. Throughout my teaching career, I have been driven to help students achieve their very best. I str
ongly believe that music has the power to change lives – to enhance the social, cultural and spiritual lives of people, and serve as a profound medium of personal expression. Professional perform experience: The Chicago, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, Three tours with Moody Blues, YoYo Ma etc.... The most important thing I look for in a student is communication skills, as well as talent. I like to nurture students and help identify their individual strengths, which is a key factor in shaping a musical persona that will make its mark both on and offstage. I do not advocate a uniform technique for all students. Physical differences and learning styles are always taken into consideration. Potential is as important to me as early achievements and experience. My goal is to help students become self-sufficient, discriminating artists. I discuss practice techniques often and develop individualized scale routines. I encourage initiative and expressive musicality as well as precision. Above all, music needs to bring obvious joy to the student, regardless of the difficulties.”

I would highly recommend Tony Mitri as a voice and music instructor. My son takes lessons with Mr. Mitri and his progress has been astounding! He studies with other teachers previously without much success. My son has said he has learned more from Mr. Mitri than all of his previous instructors. He enjoys the lessons so he works harder at making progress and it shows. He helped him expand his range substantially, and increase his confidence. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in music of any kind. Mr.Mitri is awesome professional, patient and extremely knowledgeable. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been using Photoshop for 5 years and have experience with photo editing, drawing, and photomanipulation. I have an extensive knowledge of the software and can teach the ins and outs of how to create and edit images in Photoshop, as well as how to work with video and 3D models.
My name is David S, and I have been a CG artist and animator for 8 years. Computer graphics is a passion of mine, and I consider it a joy to pass on what I have learned to others. In 2014, I graduated from Huntington University with a B.S. degree in Digital Media Arts - Animation, so I possess a very good understanding of the principles of animation that spans just about every medium. I have also worked on multiple independent projects ranging from shorts to feature films, which has given me a wealth of practical experience.
If you consider yourself a fun and creative person and have an interest in animation or design, then I would love to work with you to develop your skills. Perhaps you're more interested in Hollywood-style special effects, in which case I can teach you many of the secrets of the trade. Regardless, I can provide soli
d training to get you started in any of these great fields.
Software Taught: Blender, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Autodesk Maya, The Foundry NUKE, Blackmagic Design Fusion, mocha by Imagineer Systems, Toon Boom Harmony, and 3DEqualizer.
I can teach the very basics of Photoshop, including layer use, tools, hotkeys and navigating the different options. Note that I am by no means an expert of Photoshop, my lessons mainly emphasize the raw skills of digital illustration and drawing.
If you're looking for general image editing like for photos, color correction, optimizing images for print, I'm not the most qualified for that. If you're looking for digital illustration/drawing instruction to work towards making artwork as shown in my portfolio, then I'm a much better fit.
I've been working professionally as an artist since 2009, making graphics and illustrations for clients and having worked for Disney Research for just over a year. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in 2012. I'm currently a freelance artist, but I also love contributing to the art education community by inspiring and instructing anyone who wants to learn.
I specialize in drawing/illustration, digital painting, and 2D hand-drawn frame-by-frame digital animation, mostly in the context of video games (with 2D graphics). Many of my drawing/animation students have been interested in drawing/animating animals, especially furry/anthro memes. I've helped students complete tiny looping animations, creating memes as well as short films.
My hope and mission is to successfully distribute my knowledge,
skills and experience to anyone who wants to acquire them.
I'm capable of a large range of improvements, from goals as hobbyists to more professional goals. I have successfully helped students get admitted into their desired art schools through portfolio preparation, as well as helped artists get their first gigs as freelancers. I can serve as a mentor for an artist's early years as a contractor.
Lessons are taught through Google Hangouts video calls where I always share my screen to clearly show my demonstrations in real time. Students may also share their screens if they are working digitally. If students work on paper, they may take phone pics and message/email them to me during class, or hold up their work on the webcam if it's high enough quality.
Emily is a patient, compassionate and gifted teacher and this is only my first class with her. I am looking forward to working with her and hope to improve my drawing skills.

Hello! My name is Sylvia and I'm here to help you learn a new skill or master it to a new level! I've been teaching private lessons since 2001 and am currently available to teach lessons at your home, at the public library, in my studio and online. I have loved helping my students with education classes such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, mathematics, english, science, dancing salsa and cha cha, painting, illustrating fashion, sewing, computer coding, playing the violin, to personal training.
I have always had many interests and luckily I worked hard at them with great teachers to achieve great levels. I went to University of New South Wales and earned a degree in Software Engineering in 2003, and also Sydney TAFE to earn a Fashion Design degree in 2009.
I'm a friendly and understanding person and my teaching style is patien
t, motivating, and positive. I believe everyone can achieve what they want with the right mindset and the right opportunity. My aim is to help you reach your goals and make you feel accomplished!
Sylvia is an excellent teacher. I was starting from scratch, and she was able to quickly teach me how to do numerous important tasks relative to what I was looking to accomplish. I recommend her without reservation.

Sylvia was excellent! I came to her class with very little knowledge of the subject but she was patient and taught me step by step on the topics I wanna learn. She was very knowledgeable of Adobe software, professional and very understanding of my schedule. I am confident now on using the program after our classes. I highly recommend her! Thanks Sylvia!

Sylvia was patient , knowledgeable and kind! I really appreciated her help in even trouble shooting how to approach my project.
I've been using Photoshop for over 15 years. I love the program and the vast options you can do with it. I am a graphic designer and can help artists, new designers and those who are looking to manipulate photos learn with easy to understand information. You can get fast results with my instruction. I can teach photo manipulation, editing, import and export, color correction, photo restoration, size changes, file types, preparing files for print, web or presentation and more.
I have a pretty well rounded history: Graphic designer: 20+ years, photographer 10+ years, artist/painter and I even ran a print shop for several years so I know what you need to prep files for printing, photography, page layout, web and much more so that your files meet industry standards.
I love art and I am passionate about making things beautiful. That spills over into Graphic design, Painting and more: I have 20+ years as a graphic designer, photographer 10+ years, artist/painter. I have been instructing for over 6 years. All of my artistic positions led me to run a print shop for several years so I know what you need to prep files for printing, photography, page layout, web and much more so that your files meet industry standards. If your a fast learner, I can go at a faster pace, if you need more time, I am fine with that too. My goal is for you to learn well, advance and put the skills I teach you to use. Then we will layer that info and move on. I'll incorporate reviewing what we worked on before in the future lessons. I want you to be able to put to practice what I teach you so that you can successfully manage on
your own in that area.
I love being outside, I love the water and get inspired by nature. I am not a camping type person but could sleep outside nightly (on a screened in porch, LOL). I love to enjoy life and want you to enjoy learning something new as well.
Nicole professionally layed out, designed, and printed the obituary of my husband using Adobe Photoshop. Her helpful, yet sensitive suggestions regarding picture arrangements on the pages of the obituary were appreciated. She was timely and easy to work with. I highly recommend her as an instructor.
I teach Photoshop for Photographers usually combined with Lightroom. You will learn how to enhance your images for presentation on a screen/website or for printing. Lessons are available in person or remotely.
My name is Nick and I am a freelance photographer located in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. I am new to the TakeLessons platform but have many years of experience as a photographer and photography teacher.
I specialize in travel, fine art and sports action photography. I am a life-long photographer having worked for a weekly newspaper, a motorcycle racing magazine, as a wedding and event photographer, and as a sports photographer. Over the last 15 years I have photographed local town events, Middle and High School sports, college football, fund-raising events for non-profit organizations, motorcycle racing, bicycle racing, running road races, Rock ‘n Roll bands, and high school senior portraits. I am now focusing most of my time traveling around the world and making and exhibiting my photographs of the local landscapes and people. Many o
f my images have been published in newspapers, on various websites, and exhibited in many art galleries.
I enjoy teaching students how to "make" photographs, drawing from the skills and techniques that I have learned from my real-world experiences as a photographer. My students learn how to use their camera as an expression of their artistic vision. They will learn all aspects of workflow including research and preparation, camera settings, composition, post-processing, printing, and framing. The goal is for each student to create images that they would be proud to exhibit or display on their wall at home.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer, please contact me for further information, to discuss your goals and objectives for making pictures, or to schedule a session. I offer both in person and remote lessons. Thank you.
Nick was awesome. Helped me choose the proper camera settings to optimize conditions and maximize the quality of the image. Educated me on controlling settings for various light conditions and depth of field. Very helpful and well worth the drive. I will definitely call on him again to fine tune what I've learned once I have a chance to practice.
