Lessons are tailored to fit each individual student's ability and goals. I believe in challenging students while maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment. Lessons will cover music theory, technique, and solo pieces. The goal is to develop in each student the specific skills needed to play a string instrument as well as to nurture an understanding and love for music.
Lessons take place at my apartment in Southeast Denver, near Hampden and I-25. Students are expected to prepare for and participate annual studio recitals.
About Kostadin
I was raised in a musical family in my home country of Bulgaria, where I attended a highly competitive full-time performing arts school from age 6. I was trained in the Russian school of violin playing and have found this to be a very successful method for my younger students in the United States.

Hello! My name is Jenny, and I've been teaching violin for 20 years. I started playing violin when I was 9 years old through my school's music program, and went on to double major in college in Violin and Piano Performance. The violin is a incredible instrument, with a story to tell from anyone who plays it! I specialize in proper holding and technique, bowing styles, reading music, and playing a variety of styles from classical, sacred, fiddling, and everything in-between! I use All for Strings, Essential Elements, Suzuki, as well as theory and vibrato methods. I also teach arranging and writing music, and use Finale and Smart Score programs as well. Thank you for reading my page, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

I want to serve as a supportive and instructional figure that helps cultivate an appreciation of music for all students. In order to do this, I believe it's important to prioritize personal student progress rather than subscribe to a fixed game plan. That being said I take on a relaxed adaptive teaching style that tailors to the student. It's my hope that all students feel comfortable working and discussing music topics with me as I believe thoughtful conversations, whether straightforward or abstract, is an essential learning technique.
About Kristin
I am a classically trained violist and string instrument enthusiast, born and raised in the Chicagoland area. I attended and graduated from Western Michigan University with a BM in music performance and have since worked as a music teacher in San Diego. I am the strings director at Double Peak Scho

In our first lesson, you will learn about the parts of your instrument, how to care for it, and how to hold it. You will even learn some notes and begin reading music! By the end of your first package of lessons, you will be able to play with lovely tone, using the bow as well as plucking, and will have a handful of simple songs under your belt.
Students describe me as patient, fun, and encouraging! As your teacher, you can expect me to work with you from where you are, and with subjects and curriculum that match what you are interested in learning. I teach traditional classical, using either Suzuki or Essential Elements, depending on your learning and self-motivational needs, and I also teach fiddle music, including Celtic, old-time, bluegrass, and alternative styles. *Please check my availability before signing up, as my time slots are quickly filling up!* I look forward to meeting you!
