I love to sing (yay!) and am a professional singer/songwriter and a vocal coach & have been for many years. Named a top vocal coach in Backstage Magazine, I have coached beginners to pros, children to adult, whether they want to perform, record, just enjoy/fun or eventually pursue a serious singing career. My students have gone on to tour, get signed, do musical theatre (amateur & professional) or just enjoying singing freely with a great technique. I am considered encouraging and warm (see my reviews), but also know what it is to be at a level where you consistently sound great! This is my focus and is very encouraging to students. They will see themselves making progress and reaching set goals! I am an expert in pop technique (no opera or classical, sorry!), and work with students to preserve and take care of the voice. In lessons, we w
ill also have fun learning popular songs (from current hits to classic pop & rock) and look for opportunities to sing them. From pop to rock to R&B to country & more, students can explore their faves! Whether you or your child is a beginner, just-for-fun singer or singer/songwriter to pro, each student will be able to learn the skills they need to sing from their heart, find their own true voice and for serious singers, take it to the next level.

Children Voice lessons build confidence and enthusiasm, and help prepare children for performing in front of others. Singing at a young age develops vocal abilities, but more importantly develops a child's aural abilities (recognizing melodies, harmonies, etc.) as well as the ability to focus, take direction and be creative.
Performing / Recording / Vocal Health Recording, performing and touring presents unique challenges to singers. By concentrating on breathing, vocal tone, vocal production and tension reduction, warm-up exercises, and range building exercises, these lessons help increase stamina, build vocal tone, and reduce the effects of vocal fatigue for those who sing long hours at a time.
Church / Worship Leading Singing on praise/worship teams is an art form all of it's own. Lessons centered around this kind of singing focus on the areas of blending, tone, hearing harmonies, and keeping your part in a group. For the soloist / worship leader, lessons help in the areas of projection, tone, range, runs, and breathing.

I have experience performing and teaching many genres of music, including Broadway/musical theatre, jazz, opera, and modern. I will teach correct breathing, support, posture, and help find singers' individual strengths.
Hi! My name is Kristen Reinsch and I am originally from Monterey, CA but am now a Utah native . I am a singer and teacher who loves music more than chocolate and can be found singing in nearly any scenerio! I started my music career in theater at the early age of 8 and haven't stopped singing since. I grew up singing and playing instruments with my family and I encourage my students to do the same. Having been both an instrumentalist and vocalist, I feel it is important to not only know how to sing, but to be able to read music and understand what you are singing. After graduating with a music degree from BYU-I, I feel I have the tools to teach these skills and more. Through my years as a musician, I have come to appreciate many different kinds of music ranging anywhere from Broadway to opera to Jazz, etc. I feel this gives me the a
bility to cater to my student's individual goals as musicians. One of my goals as a teacher is to help you to learn to sing what you love while giving you the correct foundation to build on. Music is supposed to be fun! I believe self confidence is extremely important as a vocalist. "Stage fright" is one of the most common things that holds us back from reaching our full potential. Singing with confidence makes you feel great, and sound even better. Sometimes it is all that's missing from a potentially amazing singer. I have helped many students overcome this road block and emerge filled with confidence and self assurance.
*** Lesson Details *** Did you know that people can hear a smile in your voice? Smiling while singing actually produces a different sound that is pleasant to the ear. I want this experience to be fun for my students. I do, however, believe self discipline is a very important aspect of music. I will encourage students to practice regularly and come prepared to learn. I will usually request that young students bring a recording device so they can take home our lessons and practice. This also allows you to hear how you sound during lessons and reproduce(or improve) that at home. During my lessons, we will cover topics ranging from technical skills, basic singing principles, ear training, sight-reading, to theoretical knowledge. We will also discuss voice maintenance. That said, I feel it's important to get out of the lessons what you want, so I don't have a set curriculum. I tailor each lesson to the student. All in all, I am a patient, fun-loving teacher who will work hard to bring out the very best in all my students. I will neither push too hard nor be too lenient as we strive to reach the goals we have set together.
*** Studio Equipment *** Piano and music books provided
*** Travel Equipment *** I will provide some music for the student. I would prefer that the student have access to a piano and bring a tape recorder and notebook to each lesson.
*** Specialties *** Although I was classically trained and studied opera in college, my younger singing experience largely involved musical theatre. I have always been told I am a natural on stage. I strive to instill that confidence into my students because confidence really is half the battle. I especially love to help students prepare for auditions!
Very sweet and kind. Generous with time. Great teaching technique.

Hi! I am a private music instructor offering lessons both in-studio and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree from Berklee College of Music, where I graduated Summa cum Laude, and I have over 36 years' full-time experience as an instructor.
I also have over four decades of experience as a professional jazz, rock, and theater musician. My experience has taken me from nightclubs to concert stages to churches, as well as television studios, radio stations, and many recording studios.
Finally, I am a published author with several titles dedicated to helping musicians becoming the best they can be.
**** MY TEACHING STYLE ****
My teaching style is often referred to as laid-back, gentle, informative, and very supportive. My focus is on enrichment, encouragement, and results.
I don't work with “one-size-fits-all” methods. Ea
ch lesson is customized to make the most of each student's own unique abilities, limitations, preferences, and interests. Whether students prefer, or do better with, traditional materials, playing/singing along with their favorite recordings, improvisation, or anything in between, I am more than happy to accommodate and bring out each student’s best!
I teach real music -- students begin playing music they love almost from day-one. For example, many of my piano and guitar students pride themselves on learning to play every song on the Beatles One album ... playing right along with the CD! Reading, playing by ear, improvisation (jamming), singing while you play ... there are so many ways to play and avenues to explore in music.
**** MY STUDIO ****
My studio is spacious (very spacious – no cubicles here!), well-appointed, and very quiet. Unlike music stores and multi-lesson facilities, there are no other lessons on the premises, no drummers going crazy on the other side of the wall. This means students can concentrate better and learn faster. There is also plenty of room for parents and siblings who may wish to sit in on lessons.
**** STYLES / GENRES ****
I believe that students make the most progress learning music they love and I am very happy to teach every student the style of music he or she loves most.
My most requested genres are: pop, rock, country, blues, classic rock, jazz, and classical. Some students arrive knowing exactly what they want, but most are happy to explore various styles that interest them in search of the perfect fit. It is not at all uncommon for a student to spend part of their lesson polishing up a Beethoven piece or jazz standard, then finish up playing the chords to “Hotel California” along with the CD. Another student might start off their lesson learning a Taylor Swift hit, then move over to doing some blues improvisation. Variety is a wonderful thing and it is highly encouraged!
**** MY STUDENTS ****
Over the years, I have taught students from four years old to eighty-somethings. I’ve taught absolute beginners (most of my students start from square-one), hobbyists, seasoned professionals, even a Grammy nominee and a Grammy winner! Many of my young students have gone on to perform in school bands / jazz bands and/or professionally. In all cases, they acquire a skill that will last for a lifetime and provide joy, enrichment, and satisfaction.

I have just started guitar lessons with Stan and the lessons are going very well. It's exciting to be learning note reading which is something I have always wanted to do. Stan is thorough and clear in his instructions and I look forward to each lesson. I feel lucky to have Stan as my teacher.

Stan is very knowledgeable about singing, and he teaches more than just voice lessons. It seems like he looks for the best in you as an artist, and try to take it to another level. I'm a new student of his, and it's been great so far. Looking forward to the weekly lessons.

Stan is obviously both knowledgeable and talented but he is also a very good teacher and will tailor your lessons not only to your ability but also to your own personal goals
As a successful professional singer for over 30 years, vocal coach and speech professor: Lydia has a unique method for teaching voice. Each student completes a survey, afterwards a lesson plan is constructed focusing on the needs of the student. Beginners & intermediate students will advance in a short amount of time because of the methods used. Make your dream of singing come true in record time.
I am a professional singer specializing in Gospel, Jazz, Blues, R & B with a classical training background. I am also a pianist, recording artist, songwriter, speech professor & etiquette teacher. I can help any student to sing with freedom, confidence, and expression. Additionally, I provide my students with training on song selection, soundscapes, stage presence and career building tools.
Whether you dream is to sing in p
ublic or to make singing your lifelong career; I am the person who will help you elevate yourself. The students I will accept must be willing to commit to a minimum of 5 lessons.
Lydia is amazing! I am so excited to work with her more! I have been singing for years and heard things in my voice in our first lessson that I have never heard before.

Lydia is amazing! She caters lessons towards your specific capabilities and is always very flexible . Very encouraging, gives honest feedback. I left with good practice techniques and confidence in my voice.
My lessons are built-up from a person's natural voice. It is genuine and has much more character than trying to unnaturally mold someone's voice. I teach various techniques with accompanying exercises for both group and solo vocal performances.
I enjoy building confidence in singers across multiple levels of experience, with the final goal of making them proud of their own voice and style.
UC Santa Barbara Grad.
I am a singer that took on the ukulele 8 years ago. Over the past 3 years I have played throughout Santa Barbara performing local gigs & busking on State Street.
Ukulele Lessons: I like to challenge the preconception that the ukulele is a "toy" and expose people to what can be achieved on a small, 4-stringed instrument. I am constantly thinking of new ways to add life to the instrument and show how capable the ukulele truly is.
Vocal Lessons: My goal is to make all of my students reach the point where they are comfortable with their own voice. My teaching draws from my experience in formal concert/chamber choirs, musical theatre, collegiate a cappella, and solo performances.
In addition to teaching, I create videos as an outlet for performing and sharing my true enjoyment for music.
Nico was recommended to me two months ago and I am very glad I reached out. I already feel more confident knowing what to listen out for when singing. He also taught me a couple songs on ukulele so I can accompany myself. Cool teacher & fun jam sessions!

I thought Nico was very nice and professional. He worked well with Gaby.
Tracey is a phenomenal voice teacher and I highly recommend her! She's organized, professional and very musically talented. But more
than that, Tracey is extremely adept at communicating the subtle and hard to grasp vocal techniques that are so difficult to put into words. In addition to using analogies, she's great at using visual cues (drawings, arrows, notation# and relating vocal movements to colors, physical movements and sensations. She was more than willing to adapt her lessons for me so that I can gain the best understanding.
I have had other teachers in the past, and while they were all talented and very nice, only Tracey has been able to help me improve my singing voice. I improved more in 3 lessons with her than I did in 8 months of lessons with a previous teacher.
Tracey is also very kind and patient #very necessary with beginners!) and very good at correcting without criticizing. She went way out of her way to accomodate my schedule and even comes to my house for the lessons. I think she's the best and I'm sure you will too!"
"Adrienn is an excellent teacher. She is a very patient, kind, knowledgeable and fun teacher. She is energetic, and caring person as well as being immensel
y talented! She helped me a lot. She knows how to analyze your vocal technique right away. She teaches you how to breath throughout your whole body. You even have a chance to work with het own your own songs!"
"Mr. Glenn is the Best!
Mr. Glenn is excellant! He has many, many years of experience. Mr. Glenn is a total professional, he makes you feel so comfortable
. He does a great job of communicating, and you always learn something new. I have only been going to Mr. Glenn for a few months but my dad and I feel that we have known him for many years. He should be give a 10! He is by far the best music teacher I have every met. He is super talented! What a great guy!! There is nothing negative at all, he simply the best! He is fun, friendly, honest, patent, enthusiastic, flexible, positive, reliable, respectful, sensitive and encouraging. Thanks Mr. Glenn."
I'm improving already! Eric clearly knows what he's doing, and he works along to make sure that you do the exercises correctly. Definitely recomme
"I looked forward to every lesson with cheryl knowing that she pushed for my growth in not only voice but music overall. In time when my schedule allows I
will resume with such a comfortable environment she provided for learning I truly appreciate it and am grateful for her method on teaching. I didn't believe I would get better but Cheryl had me record myself and I heard the difference. Something I could have never pushed myself to do and I thank her for that experience which gave me a deeper drive to become better."
"First time to take singing lesson, but we thought Monica was very nice instructor."
Marty spends the extra time to teach her students the correct way to sing. My daughter has come so far in under a year. She is a great coac
h and teacher."
"One of the best decisions i've made was selecting Stephanie to be my 10 year old daughters instructor. Having no background or instructional knowledge in
singing Stephanie emphasized the importance of the preliminary stages of singing. This was all new to my daughter, and Stephanie made it especially comfortable for her. We've tried other stuff like sports, cheerleading, etc but nothing grabbed her attention. She had no problem getting ready for singing lessons though! She enjoyed it very much, thank you Stephanie!"
"Francesca is an exceptional teacher and musician. I am a middle aged novice that wants learn to sing but had much apprehension about taking lessons due to
my age/ lack of experience/ etc. Francesca's first lesson with me addressed my overactive nerves so that by the second lesson, I felt more relaxed and we were able to get to the piano and the singing much sooner. She packs a lot in each lesson and makes it fun. You'll have a great time learning, but you're not going to gloss over that thing you can't do very well. In fact plan on focusing on it- she knows you can do it! she'll show you your way.You can tell she loves teaching, and she really believes music is a gift for everyone for enjoy."
Do online singing lessons actually work? Take it from our teacher Molly R., who teaches singing lessons in Hayward, CA. Read on as she explains the benefits, and how online lessons can work for you!
Two Crucial Benefits of Online Lessons
I’ve been teaching online voice lessons via Skype and FaceTime for a year now. Before I started, I had the same questions anyone else would have: How does this work? Will my students get as much out of these lessons as they do at in-person lessons?
