I have been teaching piano lessons for over 8 years, and have taught all ages and skill levels. I began at the age of 6 and did competitive piano as a young child, so my personal philosophy is that piano lessons need to be fun and engaging in addition to being structured.

About Sophia

I am a professional opera coach and have subbed as a coach at the Kansas City Lyric Opera House. I have my Master's in Vocal Performance from the Conservatory at UMKC, and my Bachelor's of Music from Luther College. I have performed under the baton of Maestro Lorin Maazel and sung on stage with Th

While at the Kansas City School of Music, my girls, ages 7 and 10, received piano and vocal lessons from Miss Sophia. Sophia is a wonderfully talented musician and pianist with very effective teaching methods. She is very patient with her students and always provides a positive nurturing learning environment. She was able to tailor each lesson to fit each of my girls needs, which I appreciate. I highly recommend Sophia to anyone looking to receive top notch instruction.

Mrs. Zey is incredibly knowledgeable in voice and piano as well as in teaching them. She's familiar with a wide variety of vocal styles and techniques and will find one that works for you, as well as be kind and patient while teaching it. Five stars; a round of applause; and a standing ovation. She knows what she's talking about and is the best at what she does.

This was my first experience with on line teaching and it was great. I had tried reading the books and watching some videos on You Tube and was not making progress. Just a few minutes with Paul and what I couldn't figure out suddenly made sense.

Looking forward to next week.

My son loves his lessons, he gets really nervous prior because he always wants to get it right however, he likes the fact he’s at home and no one is watching him as he’s learning! As his parents we like that as a military family that will be moving again this is something that we can keep normal for him since it’s done online as well! Paul Neatherly is wonderful with him as well and very patient! I recommend this service and Paul to anyone looking for this type of learning!

All students are unique - so each lesson is, too! I tailor my piano lessons to the learning style of each student while utilizing various book series. We will have fun together, but I'll make sure we are productive as well. Learning a new instrument is an awesome interest that I will help you develop into a lifelong skill.

As stated in my singing blurb, I started taking lessons when I was seven years of age, my mother being my first piano teacher. From that early age, I fell in love the instrument and know that I can help anyone who loves the piano, better understand and master the instrument.

About Lyle

I am a professional singer, pianist, and teacher of the two. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University Long Beach, and a Master of Music degree from University of California Los Angeles. During my study of those two degrees, I had marvelous teaching from some of the finest

I can’t recommend Lyle highly enough. He is an amazing teacher for my 14 year old son who is prepping for school play auditions. He helped choose material and has many technical suggestions to sing better without being intimidating. He also is patient, warm and encouraging. Very pleased we found him.

Lyle has a singing voice that will stun and amaze you when he sings in front of you. That will immediately put you at ease and motivate you to sing better using his techniques. His classical training has proven to be a great foundation for teaching me effective ways to understand, use and improve my voice. After 2 lessons I can already see a big difference in my singing abilities and I always learn many new things at each lesson. Lyle has a really open, friendly and non judgemental demeanor and this helped a lot with my nervousness. I can't wait for my next private lesson and would encourage anyone to book him for Broadway, classical and pop singing lessons.

Lyle taught my two kids for 3 years. They loved him! My son took piano and voice lessons each week, 30mins of the two, and my daughter took only piano lessons. I can't recommend him enough!

I have been involved in music since I was just a child. It started with learning piano, then guitar, ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, djembe and so many more.

I’ve continued to learn and perfect my craft by being apart of different types of bands from small to large with varying genres of music. I also formalized my music education with a bachelor of Art in Music.

So what song would you like to learn to play today?

Johan is great with kids! My son is a very active child, and he was able to make the lesson fun and engaging. More than that, I enjoyed seeing Johan be creative, listen to the child, and make music fun, more than being it a lesson (per say). I highly recommend Johan!

"Raymond is a master teacher and musician

Raymond is exceptional as a teacher and musician; always patient and enjoying the experience of guiding you to become the best musician you can be. His musical experience and abilities are evident. In addition to all of these qualities he is serious and dedicated to developing your knowledge and skills through discipline and practice - always with a sense of humor and enjoyment in the music and what you both are accomplishing. Learning to become a musician with Raymond is as enjoyable as listening and dancing to music. I look forward to my class with Raymond each time."

"Lana is my daughter's third (and hopefully last) piano teacher. Lana is the BEST instructor! She is loving (yet stern), positive, effective, and truly gets the best from her students.

My daughter has taken a keener interest in playing piano since being under Lana's tutelage (she has played for 7 years, this is her third year with Lana). Whether she's playing Beethoven, Chopin, John Legend or Joni Mitchell, Lana helps my daughter conquer her pieces with confidence and pride (once the pieces are learned).

We have had the old school, hard-core, drill sargeant type of teacher and the lackadaisical, low expectation and low output type of teacher. Lana is neither. Lana focuses on technique, reading music, musicality, presence, and instilling a love of music in her students. And she gets results. Not only has my daughter's skill level improved, her attitude toward piano has completely changed.

Any child would be lucky to have Lana as his/her teacher. We cannot recommend her highly enough!"

Dueling piano bars are typically characterized by having two grand (or baby grand) pianos placed opposite each other, and two talented musicians performing and accepting audience requests for songs.
