A long time scholarship student of the greatest violinist of all times Jascha Heifetz, international Concertmaster of major orchestras around the world and concert debut 72 years ago, I have the longest international career in the world among living violinists. Googling my name will give around 2 million results in ½ a second. Taking lessons with me might be slightly more than average, but will save you a lot of wasted time and money in the long run; acquiring bad habits from inexperienced instructors are practically impossible to uproot later. There is no substitute for 75 years of top international experience.
About Adam
Please google “Adam Han-Gorski” - there will be about 2 million results in half a second, easier than writing here. With a debut in March 21, 1948 (can be seen on YouTube), I am one of the handful of musicians alive with the longest international career in the world. With that kind of experience y

I am a professional violinist and violist in the Boston area. I am a graduate of the New England Conservatory where I have studied with Miriam Fried, Donald Weilerstein, and Martha Katz. I have performed extensively throughout my life as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player on both the violin and viola in a variety of professional ensembles including substitute viola work with the Borromeo String Quartet. I draw from this performing background to teach my students of all ages and abilities.
I currently act as Adjunct Instructor of Violin and Viola at Merrimack College, where I serve as a primary instrumental teacher to enrolled students. I have also acted as the primary violin teacher for Main Street Music, LLC, in Waltham. Additionally, I run a private studio of 5-10 students as young as 6 and as old as 60. Of these, some never touched an instrument before our first lesson, and some are serious conservatory-bound musicians intending to make a career as a performer.

I am an experienced teacher of 16 years! I thrive on finding each student's specific learning style and cultivating a positive and productive learning experience within that. I apply consistent and focused energy in getting my students to strive for their best, and I aim to inspire them to respond in turn with the same focused and accurate effort.
I teach using a modified Suzuki method. This means that, while I do subscribe to Suzuki's "mother tongue" approach, I also believe that education on an instrument requires literacy from a young age. I have discovered in my years of teaching that an early ability to read notes and understand musical theory and form is not a handicap to a student's development, but rather a benefit to the student gaining a richer, fuller understanding of their instrument and music in general.
I believe that every person can be taught, that parental involvement is crucial in the development of musicians from a young age through the high school years, and ...

I have been teaching professionally for the past six years. As a student who struggled myself in nearly every aspect of education, I understand the importance of individualized learning. As a teacher and performer, I look to find relationships between the emotional and intellectual facets of music. By doing this, I try to uncover the mystery of violin playing, allowing my students to gain an understanding that will last with them forever.
Every single student posseses the potential to fulfill his or her violinistic dreams. I cater my teaching around the goals of each student, while still instilling a high artistic integrity.
Though I center each lesson around building a superior technical foundation, duet playing, the theory of harmony, and aural skills are integral parts of my teaching. I strive for my students to develope a beautiful, in-tune, pure sound that can directly connect to their own emotional palette.

Hailed as "delightfully spirited, [with a] rich tone" (Cleveland Classical) violinist Thomas Cooper has appeared as a soloist with several American orchestras, including the Colorado College Festival Orchestra, the Coeur D'Alene Symphony Orchestra, the Credo Baroque Orchestra, the Dubois Orchestra
