Munro is the best ! The best teacher I have ever had. Very knowledgeable about music theory which enables the student to learn improvisation. He simplifies theory making it very easy to understand. He also understands that every student has his/her own learning curve and is never intimidating.

After studying with Munro for 5 years, I can say without a doubt, I would not be at the level I am now without him. From the first lesson, he had me playing a song. Munro is patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. I could not recommend Munro enough for future students!

I consider myself extremely lucky to have Munro as my instructor. I am in my 50's and only decided to learn to play piano several years ago. Munro can teach the most advanced techniques, music theory and composition, yet still has the patience for someone like myself, who is a casual learner that just wants to play for enjoyment and doesn't always have much time to practice. He is never frustrated by my slow progress, always supportive, and has a knack for finding music that will challenge but not overwhelm me. And while my competency at playing still has a long way to go, my understanding of music, and appreciation for composition are something I would not have received from most any other instructor.
I have no reservations endorsing Munro, regardless of your ambition, skill level or goals.

I have been playing guitar for over a decade and have tons of performance experience gigging in a local rock band. Combine that with a curriculum that starts with fundamentals and expands quickly into playing your favorite songs and you have a great start to beginning or expanding your guitar playing abilities.

About ryan

Hi, my name is Ryan and I would love to teach you how to play guitar. I've been playing for over 10 years and have been gigging for a little less than that in my band. Over the years I have gained a lot of experience performing on stage and teaching to people of all ages. If you want to shred, jam,

Ryan was great! He's obviously a talented guitarist and he is very laid back and makes you feel comfortable. He shows you in detail what you need to do to become a better guitar player. My ONLY advice, and the reason he doesn't get 5 stars, is I think he should have more visual aids with his lessons. For example, write down the different scales or transcribe the first several measures of a song. Then, one has something to refer back to when you are practicing and invariably get stuck. Other than that, I would highly recommend Ryan as a guitar teacher!

I teach good playing technique and broadly applicable musical knowledge by working on music you actually want to play. I've played and worked with students on Bach sonatas, Dylan/Donovan style fingerpicking, jazz comping and solos, rock, metal and punk riffs, Steve Vai-esque two-hand tapping, as well as songwriting, music theory, and aural skills, so no matter what kind of music you like or how you're looking to improve, chances are I can help take you do it. "Blake is an amazing teacher

My 11 year old son has been taking guitar lessons with Blake for almost 2 years now and we are both so impressed with Blake. My son likes and admires him and I believe that helps motivate him to continue with guitar. Blake relates well to children and his level of experience is far beyond what I could ever had hoped for in a teacher here in the small town of Lowell! We are lucky to have him :-)"

"Very patient and supportive

As an 'older' student, John is great in understanding the time contraints of an adult. He is very patient and never makes one feel like a naughty teenager if not enough time was spent on practice. After a few months I am really starting to have fun with the lessons and look forward to branching into different areas.
John is the best, you cant go wrong with him as your teacher."

"Keith is definitely a great teacher! He knows all the theory but he uses it the very best way....to teach you to PLAY the guitar. Everything is directed at PLAYING the guitar. No time is wasted on "nice to know" vs "need to know." He's always been in a band (as he is right now) so he knows the ins and outs of actually playing the instrument. No fluff....just learning."
