I have been teaching Spanish for over 10 years in universities (SDSU and Georgetown), private schools and through private lessons, and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of Spanish culture, study abroad in Latin America, and more! It is important for me to get to know my students and their goals so that I can adapt my lessons to their pace and needs. I love working with students of all experience levels and ...espero contar con su presencia! I am currently just accepting students for long commitment with the lessons.

I have been working with Ana for six months and could not speak more highly of her ability as a teacher. She is extremely organized so not a single minute of the hour session goes wasted. She is a very patient teacher and explains grammar in a way that's easy to understand and remember. She also selects interesting content, including stories and news articles, so homework never felt like a chore! It was my first experience with taking a class via Skype so I was somewhat skeptical of the format initially, but it works extremely well and I feel like I got so much out of my weekly sessions. I highly recommend Ana to anyone who wants to improve their Spanish level quickly!

DURING THE CLASS
For my online classes, I usually use articles or texts, and videos or movies about topics that my students find interesting. After they have read them and/or watch them, we discuss them in class.
our conversations, I correct grammar and pronunciation, while they practice their conversational and listening skills.
In addition, if the student needs some help with grammar, I usually send them a power point with the theory about that grammar explained for them to read it. Then, we focus on practice by doing activities/exercises and applying that grammar in our conversations.

Want to talk or write to someone from Spain or Latin America and you only could say "Hola"? Want to have more chances, professional, to be hired for being bilingual (fluent in Spanish)? Or just learn a new language? This is the place. You could learn as fast as you keep enthusiasm, which is pretty easy with a teacher who actually her native language is Spanish. Be brave and begin to learn Spanish. I would help you since the beginning to beyond.
I am from Puerto Rico. I began to play flute since I have 11 years old until now. I graduated recently from Conservatorio de Musica de Puerto Rico with a Bachelors of Music, specifically flute, with great accomplished expectations of my professors.
Flute students can expect to improve week to week in their flute technique. I am giving flute classes since I was 13 years old! I would be with the student step by step until he/she improve. My way to teach has helped many students to go to levels that even they don't believed to reach, sometimes break with bad habits or fears when they play included. Also the feedback of my students has been satisfactory. Most of them tell me that they like how I connect everything I teach, like music theory, scales and flute studies in a practical way. I have had students for 1 or 2 years studying with me.
For Spanish students, I already born and raised in Puerto Rico, so my native language is Spanish. Even though, I decided to learn English and I discovered that there are people who wants to learn Spanish as well as I learned English for a variety of reasons: job positions, travel, meet people, etc. I am thankful for learn English, so why I will not help you to learn Spanish as well?
In general, every student is unique and deserve an unique class, so my classes are planned according to the level of the student, his/her goals and/or interest. So my first class include to know why you want to learn to play flute or to speak Spanish or why you want to improve it.
My personal passion is to play flute and help others to learn something that I could explain well and that it is new for them. I look forward to meeting you and help you until you become professional in the topic!
I have been teaching for 11 years, having taught students of all ages. Speaking is just as important as reading & writing, so there are always lots of dialogues & conversations. I also incorporate everyday experiences to make the language more accessible. I love languages & cultures, and try to make learning a new language an amazing experience!
I am currently a college professor. I received my Bachelors from Penn State University and my Masters from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Having lived in Spain, I learned first-hand the importance of being able to communicate. I emphasize oral communication equally with reading & writing skills.
Even though I teach collegians, I have also taught young children & older adults. I adapt my teaching methods to best suit whatever age group I am working with.
I love languages and cultures, and am always trying to learn new things. As a student of dance for many years, I am a fan of Spanish & Hispanic music, which I also incorporate into some of my lessons.
I have also done interpretation and translation, so I can provide some instruction in those areas as well.
My goal is not only to teach Spanish, but to also create curio
sity and enthusiasm for the language, culture & history of such a large & diverse population,
I went into this knowing nearly nothing about the Spanish language. This would not be brief if I listed everything I now know about the language (I still
have much to learn). I give Profesora F. excellent on all aspects of
teaching, plus the she made learning a lot fun. She is a great teacher.

Profesora F. is a very caring and considerate teacher. I was going through a rough time when she was teaching me, and she was patient and willing to work with me to help me succeed. She always encouraged me and made me determined to do well. She is a wonderful teacher and person.

Spanish with Profesora F. was awesome. I took Spanish back in high school and honestly I could not stand it. But she really made the class fun and inviting.
I probably learned the most from her than from any other professor. She made the class!!!
I am a licensed Spanish teacher for grades 7-12. I learned Spanish, my second language, by living with a Spanish family in Valencia, Spain, and by studying at the University of Valencia for two semesters. I am in my 9th year of teaching Junior High/High School Spanish, and I also have been tutoring Spanish one-on-one as well as group lessons for 7 years.
Thanks to the internet, I invite the world into our lessons! I use many online resources to support all facets of the learning process, i.e., reading, listening, writing, speaking (the highest rung for the skill ladder). This approach enables my students to practice/grow between lessons, AND it exposes them to the many different sounds of Spanish (depending on which of the 21 Spanish-speaking countries the speaker is from). When I am supporting Spanish students, these websites are particularly helpful with more difficult grammar tasks. When the student I am tutoring uses such websites during our lessons, s/he is provided with ...
I am a Licensed Spanish Teacher, and I am fluent, flexible and fun!! I would love to help you with Spanish--whether you are just beginning or in AP classes!
Why? Because I love Spanish! I began learning Spanish in a middle school in the Midwest. It was my second language--just like it is for you. So, I know what helped me remember the vocabulary and the grammar rules, and I am ready to share my personal tips and tricks with you.
My immersion experience included living with a Spanish family in Valencia, Spain, and by studying at the University of Valencia for two semesters. What an eye-opening experience!!
I have completed 9 years of classroom teaching at the Junior High/High School level. I also have been tutoring Spanish since 2012. Besides supporting middle/high school and college students, I also taught a 6-month course
to managers at a distribution center for a very popular fast-food chain.
So, when would you like me to start helping you improve your progress in Spanish? I am ready when you are!
Cheryl is a caring and resourceful tutor who provides a lot of materials to support the learning process. I recommend her without reservation

Cheryl is a great teacher! She taught me first in introductory Spanish and then in Intermediate Spanish. When I first started Spanish, I did not know any Spanish at all, and I came out able to speak, listen, and write in Spanish. Overall, I have learned so much over the past two years and it is all thanks to Cheryl.
"Remi fun and really well organized and puts so many of the exercises in the context of what other answers I've given. I need to be a bit more systematic i
n the lessons though. For example, I vaguely recall the reflexive but I'd rather have it explained to me than suddenly having part of it in a sentence to memorize. I've been rushing. Maybe we should slow down a bit so I can get more practice in rather than trying to learn so many new things all at once. I mostly want to get comfortable speaking."
"Love love love Julissa!"
"Cheryl did an incredible job with helping me learn and comprehend Spanish. I went from barely speaking and reading at all to having full on conversations
with people in and out of the classroom. She helped me improve tremendously and will keep the lessons that she has taught me throughout my professional career!"
"I just had my first lesson with Mirian and it was GREAT. She was very patient and very informative. She came prepared with exercises for us to go through
and we cover a lot in the hour we spent together. I look forward to working with her over the next few months to become fluent in speaking Spanish."
"Rosita is great! She is very patient and understanding, and tailors the lesson to my child."
"Great first lesson!"
"Joy es excelente. She works well with my disabilily(blind) and is very patient with me."
"Brilliant instructor, fun and memorable exercises make it a class to look forward to. The improved atmosphere in learning with Mariella has allowed me to
attain a more rapid progress that was conversationally and occupationally useful much sooner than I anticipated. Working with an instructor one on one also helps greatly decrease anxiety of learning when you will need to try your new skills on others who may not know you well if at all. The lessons she gives, along with the adjuncts on learning recommended, provide an efficacious and complete Spanish learning system where the goal you personally desire will be obtained, be it for travel, occupational, or cultural purposes. I cannot get over how many years I've studied Spanish using books and computer programs and audio CDs in the car, but then to make more progress in a short time than I had over years locks in that speaking high quality Spanish will be in your future if you continue with this instructor and follow her careful guidance."
"José is a fantastic Spanish language teacher. I have had him as an instructor in a university setting for two years. He is patient, insightful, and creati
ve in his teaching methods, always keeping students engaged. He has taught me a lot about Spanish popular culture, both thematically and linguistically. He has also provided an appropriate balance of correction and encouragement: he helps me not feel embarrassed about my speaking, while simultaneously correcting my errors as I go. Five stars."
Learning a new language shouldn't be limited to textbooks and coursework! Here, tutor Kaitlin W. shares her (easy) ideas for practicing Spanish throughout the day...
I don't come from a Spanish-speaking family, nor is my family from a country where Spanish is spoken. Yet every time I open my mouth to speak Spanish, I'm asked where I am from.
I have a near-native accent that leaves little trace of my Anglo roots. I often make people guess what country I'm from, and I've heard every …
