I have experience with writing books and essays, but also poetry. I have published one anthology of poetry entitled "America vs. America." I can help you form your thoughts on paper and have them grammatically sound so that they flow well.
With my two Bachelor's degrees in Music Composition and Technology, I began tutoring students in piano, voice, and composition as it was part of my training. I also have experience writing and editing essays, books, and more for several independent clients. I have experience writing my own books as well. I have written two so far, but am getting ready to write a third. I am a copious editor and can catch grammatical and other errors with ease. This is why tutoring in English would be great for me. I thought I would add basic math for those school-aged children that are having a little trouble with it in their classes. Usually, I teach lessons in my home in Diamond Bar or online, but if the need arises, I could surely work out coming to the students' homes for one-on-one tutoring help. With me, most students click after a few lessons and
understand what they couldn't in the classroom. I help the students by teaching in innovative ways that will catch their attention more than standard teaching methods. Students should consider me for I can make learning fun and never a chore!
*** Lesson Details *** I use a wide variety of techniques to sing, play piano and other instruments. Techniques include straight vowel singing (no words) to test how long to hold notes, using color to help people sight read, using improvisational techniques in order to play jazz, rock, classical and many other styles of music. I use what they student has under his or her belt as a starting point to see what lessons we could start them on. I also assist with online lessons to make transportation a thing of the past. If you've got a webcam or Skype, I can do long-distance lessons with you! So, I am here to help!
*** Studio Equipment *** Alesis Recital Keyboard Music sheets Web cam Mac computer (MacBook Pro) Finale music notation software to help in composition and theory lessons.
*** Travel Equipment *** Music paper for away lessons. Finale for composition and music theory lessons. Can use macbook for more elaborate teaching or demonstration if need be.
*** Specialties *** I do teach classical composition with specialties in ensemble and chamber music. I also specialize in songwriting for pop and other media. I teach voice and vocal techniques of sacred choral and vocal music. I teach classical and jazz piano and improvisation. I also have the distinction in being able to teach students with special needs or learning disabilities as I have a mild form of cerebral palsy and understand what students with special needs go through.

The Pedagogical Foundations Of EnglishCentral
By David Deubelbeiss
EnglishCentral is a company that takes pride in having experienced teachers on staff and designing a product that will help students learn and acquire English, particularly for international communication.
Too often technology is designed without the control or voice of educators. Technology for technology's sake. We have tried to avoid this error and build an e-learning platform that puts pedagogy and learning first.
Here are the key aspects of English Central's pedagogy:
We live in a visual and digital world. Students consume enormous amounts of video content and video has become the new textbook. EnglishCentral harnesses this built in, intrinsic level of motivation - why not learn English while viewing videos you love? EnglishCentral publishes 30 new video lessons per week and its vast library of video lessons and courses offers every student the chance to study what they want and listen to messages they want to hear.
2. Comprehensible Input
Not only do students need to listen to messages they want to hear - these messages must be level appropriate (Krashen, 2001). Each EnglishCentral video lesson or course plus our vocabulary is leveled and can be assigned to students based on their level of English. This provides appropriate practice maximizing language acquisition.
3. Precise, Timely Feedback
EnglishCentral provides instant feedback to students. Students begin to "notice the gap" (Schmidt, 1990) and begin to self-correct as they compare their speech to the original. Tools are provided so students can "dig down" and understand the language and get the answers they need immediately. EnglishCentral works to promote learner autonomy.
4. Lowered Affective Filter
Many students go through a substantial "silent period" (Krashen, 1985). Others need the time and space given through self-study before they are ready to excel in the very socially demanding classroom. EnglishCentral provides a safe, low anxiety environment where learners can proceed at their own pace and practice speaking in a non-threatening place. Teachers are often amazed how the quiet students in their class "bloom" on EnglishCentral.
5. An Oral Language Focus
The 21st century workplace and global nature of communication demands that students have strong speaking skills. The importance of written communication is receding. EnglishCentral's proprietary speech recognition system IntelliSpeech™ trains students to produce, clear, intelligible speech for effective communication across cultures and borders.
6. Blended Learning
The future of education lies in blended learning (Arne Duncan, 2014). EnglishCentral partners with schools and teachers offering a unique blended learning model and platform. Courses and video lessons can perfectly compliment what students learn in class, providing students with extra practice matching the class curriculum. Our free LMS lets teachers extend the curriculum and track student achievement.
7. Structured Learning
Our simple Watch | Learn | Speak methodology provides low cognitive overload and an easy to follow learning pathway. Courses and video lessons are leveled and vocabulary is presented with spaced-time repetition. EnglishCentral monitors every word or expression students study and provides a simple interface where students can use the feedback to improve their pronunciation and build their vocabulary.
Students are highly engaged by the gaming dynamics of EnglishCentral. Students compete for XPs (Experience Points) and ranking through their study. However, we don't go overboard and aim to keep the focus on the learning, not the gaming.
9. Ambiguity Tolerance
Language is a vast and unpredictable space. Successful language learners are risk takers. Critical to being a risk taker is having a strong ability to not be stressed out by what you don't understand (Brown, 2007). EnglishCentral provides authentic content that challenges students to focus on the general meaning and gist and strengthen their level of ambiguity tolerance.
Non-native foreign language speakers seeking to learn English will learn through the comprehensible input method of language learning. We will practice dialects, greetings, spoken language, conjugation, formal and informal grammar, etc.
Hey! Nice to meet you! First off, I would love to thank you for your interest in my professional acting training. I am a fun, vibrant and grounded professional actor desired to help you reach your goals in the performing arts industry. I am a graduate of the well-known American Academy of Dramatic Arts, as well as a writer, songwriter, and overall just an encouraging individual willing to push you beyond your fears and help you dive in pool of creation. I specialize in warm-ups, physical acting, improv, auditions, monologue practice, Meisner Technique, Lee Strasberg's Method, and Stanislavski’s System.
I follow five simple but important steps to my method of engagement in performing. 1. Explore Explore your space. Rather it be on stage, in front of the camera, or just in your head; you must explore your space to find your comfo
rtable and tight places, as well as your obstacles and free spaces. The advantages of exploring first, is that you get a chance as the actor, to feel the area and build that fourth wall. 2. Ground Plant your feet and your voice down and get grounded. Your being is an electrical source. Just like in a home, in order to use electricity safely, it must first be grounded. You must ground yourself in order to release the full potential of your power. 3. Listen Listening is a key element in not just acting, but also in life. Listening doesn't seclude itself to just words. Listening involves, listening to your body, listening for queues, beats, moments and even silence! If you choose not to listen, your response will never be valid. 4. Act and React Every action has a reaction. Your job as an actor, is to fulfill the role by acting and then reacting. You must learn specific techniques to appropriately apply to your acting and if you are following rule number three, reacting should be a breeze. 5. Trust your muscles Trust that through repetitive motion and practice, that your muscles will do it's job and place your mind, words, and body exactly where it needs to be.
With these steps, the only thing left to add is discipline and creativity. I encourage my students to be themselves and be fearless in that. Without your difference in the world, there would be no change, there would be no story to be told, there would be no excitement. I challenge you to excite me and allow me into your space. Let's explore and create together!
I'm an engineer by profession, by passion and been working in this field for quite a long time. Nevertheless, I also like to teach languages and go to language exchange groups in different places to share my knowledge of languages.
The teaching experience that I have included: - The social aspect of communication is very important, so I prefer to adjust to a specific style of learning of each person - I prefer live, interesting discussion that brings result rather than just formal lessons. - The most important aspect of learning language is having fun, so I believe this is the most important part. When it's dull it's really hard to learn something, so it must be engaging and interesting.
In other words, I'm an engineer who loves to teach people different things and it means that my definition of success is helping people become fluent in a language. My focus is the result itself.
I'm an engineer by profession (and degree) but was always enjoying teaching other people languages. I'm a native Russian speaker but been living in the USA for 10 years and fluent in English. I highly believe that education should be done in informative and a fun way, this is the only approach to achieve the result. And the result is the most important part of any education and this is my main focus - make you speak the language quickly. I will find the best approach depending on the student language level and particular needs. I look forward to e-meeting you!
I would really love the opportunity to help you improve your English abilities. I believe in using examples, scenarios, conversation and visual aids to keep the class interesting. I listen to students needs in order to let you guide the lesson topics to where your learning needs and goals will be achieved. I am just a subject matter expert and a facilitator of your learning. I believe strongly in the value of education, self-learning and continuous learning. You will be a better learner if you approach each topic from your interests and from a discovery approach. You may find that learning English while also learning about other topics (business, careers, hobbies, interests, travel, culture, etc.) makes it more valuable.

Are you tired of boring language lessons that do not focus on your needs? Would you like English lessons that are both fun and effective?
I am passionate about helping adult learners reach their English language learning goals! Additionally, I have:
• A master’s degree in education (TESOL) • Years of English teaching experience in the United States and abroad
I would love to talk to you about your English needs and work together to create a plan to help you succeed!
My life philosophy is it’s never too late to go for your dreams! Although my undergraduate degrees were in Business Administration/Accounting, I discovered my love for teaching when I had the opportunity to teach business English while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina for two years. After returning to the States and raising my daughter, I made the decision to go back to school and pursue a career in education.
I have taught adult ESL courses for several years now and recently earned a master’s degree in education (TESOL) with a concentration in adult education from Regent University. I truly love teaching English, and I’m constantly inspired by the amazing language learners I work with.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and having fun with my family. :)
Hey there! I'm Arianna and I am what you could say quite fluent in the English language as it is my first language. I am great with kids and try to make lessons as fun as possible with putting too much pressure on them. :)
Hey there! I have been teaching for about 5 years now with roughly 16 years of playing as well as learning piano. I work great with kids because I understand them and take time to get to know them as well as make them feel comfortable around me and not feel pressured or bored during lessons.
"Tamar is a wonderful, dynamic and enthousiastic teacher and my 12 year old daughter had a great time with her. Tamar knows when to slow down if her stud
