Having more than 20 years of experience of playing violin including hundreds of performances around the world as well as studying with the renown teachers in Russia and US, I am combining the best traditions of classical training with my own unique approach . My lessons are fun and very productive. For me each student is very special and I am always finding the way to unlock the potential of each and everyone of them!
Hello everyone! Music is my passion and I love to teach and play violin. I've been teaching violin for 10 years as well as playing concerts around the world including Germany, Spain, Austria, Czech Republic, Russia, Lithuania and throughout USA as a soloist and chamber musician.
No two students are ever alike. I've learned that using only one method may not benefit all students. Therefore, I use a variety of methods, some of which include Hanon, the Bastien Series, Suzuki technique for Piano and Violin, and countless others depending on what the student wishes to achieve. I have found that my most successful (and satisfied) students are the ones that express to me their specific musical goals, and then I am able to find a combination of methods to help them practice, rehearse, and refine their style of interest.
Lesson Style Lessons are uniquely tailored to the students' goals, be it to become functional with an instrument or to dominate at an audition. We will go through warm-ups that will place emphasis on technique, explore various methods so that the student may decide which one gets them the best result, and then work through the repertoire not only for proficiency, but also for interpretation, precise yet passionate phrasing, and of course, to ...
VOCAL COACH Rehabilitating and strengthening voices are two of my top specialties, and each lesson will have specific exercises tailored to helping you transform your voice into the highest and best version of your instrument. I work with singers signed to labels as well as the indie artist just starting to find his/her voice, style, and signature sound. My coaching approach incorporates some of the newest technologies that have shown extraordinary results in breaking down the inner blocks of each artist. It is a tremendously joyful and fulfilling experience to watch as my students really let their instrument shine brightly, boldly, and with an aboslutely stunning groundedness as they discover how powerful they truly are.
Poised, energized, and armed with unforgettable performance ability, Michelle G
. is a firework in the artistic arena. Her training began at the young age of 3 with the violin, and a few years later received classes for piano and voice. Excelling in all three, Michelle developed a very passionate and dramatic personality that eventually led her to more dramatic genres such as opera and stage acting. Her aptitude to understand human emotions and relationships gives her a wide spectrum to play in as an actress. There is an organic flow to her interpretations both as an actress and musician that leads the audience to feel her emotional current. Her honest characterizations introduce deeper perspectives on what seems like the ordinary roles and storylines. Amongst the many other leads that she has played, her participation in roles like “Susanna” in The Marriage of Figaro, or “Donna Elvira” in Don Giovanni embody much vibrancy and integrity. Through the development of her voice as a singer and actress, she has crossed over into other media such as voice over commercial work and vocals for pop/main stream music productions. She has recently participated as a vocalist and violinist in the albums of artists such as international jazz pop artist David Longoria, Latin pop singer Erick Bolivar, Grammy-nominated percussionist Souhail Kaspar, and American Idol’s Seysha. Over the last few years she has unraveled her musical skills as a songwriter/composer/arranger and has even had some small victories acquiring music placements on TV shows (NCIS, short film “Sumtin’ Like Dat”, The Dictator) for herself and some of her colleagues. Her singing can also be heard on the hit tv show "Jane The Virgin", "Castle" and "Shameless" amongst others.
Education Michelle completed her Associates of Arts for Music/Music Education at the age of 18, and got later graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor's of Arts for Musical Theater and Music Business, as well as from Florida International University with a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance.
*** Lesson Details *** I tailor my lessons to my student's needs, style, abilities, and goals. Learning is truly a fun and passionate adventure for me, and my enthusiasm has consistently been a contagious quality :) I love to challenge myself & my students to discover how immense their true potential is, and I create a safe and fun environment to explore such facets.
My curriculum is combination of solid tradition (Suzuki method for piano & violin, and Bel Canto technique for singing) interwoven with pop-culture, and modern influences. Within the first 3-6 months, my students will know the basic building blocks of music - which includes scales, arpeggios, triads, intervals, technique, and performance repertoire; and for my singers this will include proper breath technique, tone placement, support, very often increased vocal range (both high and low), and will feel significantly stronger vocally and more confident getting up to sing.
*** Studio Equipment *** Full size Keyboard, mics, pro tools, Violin (electric, acoustic, and Chinese Ehru)
It's been a great experience to have lessons online. Although it lasted 45 minutes, I have seen that these types of lessons are very useful and practical. Thank you for providing these lessons!

I believe that every person is able to play the violin at some level. My goal as the teacher is to communicate knowledge in such a way that the student becomes more self-aware. Awareness is the key to advancement and overall success on the instrument. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you.

Every student is unique and through my teaching I aim to treat each one as the individual they are. I work with students to help them achieve their goals while also giving them technical command of the instrument. The focus of lessons is on achieving mastery through studying the foundational elements (rhythm, intonation, tone production) in order to perform with musical expression and freedom.
Violinist Andrew Paa enjoys a varied career as an educator, performer, and arts advocate. A dedicated teacher, Andrew has worked with students privately and in music schools in South Dakota, Iowa and Ohio. Currently, he maintains a private studio. Previously he has taught at the Hudson and Fairlawn Schools of Music, Firestone High School, and the Western Reserve Institute of Music. His students have achieved a high degree of success, earning college scholarships and assuming leadership roles in their ensembles.
Andrew has performed across the United States and internationally in venues such as Cleveland's Playhouse Square and the Vienna Konzerthaus. Professionally, he performed, for three seasons, in the first violin section of the Sioux City Symphony. He has played with and assumed principle positions with several collegiate ensembl
es including the Luther College Symphony Orchestra, the University of South Dakota Symphony, the Kent State University Orchestra and the University of Akron Symphony Orchestra. Dedicated to performing chamber music, he currently plays with and is the manager of the Cuyahoga String Quartet. Additionally, he has founded several ensembles including the Enigma String Quartet, the Rosen String Quartet, and several piano trios.
Andrew earned a MM in Chamber Music and Violin Performance from Kent State University where he studied with Cathy Meng Robinson (Miami String Quartet) and Jung-Min Amy Lee (Associate Concertmaster with The Cleveland Orchestra). He earned his BA in Music from Luther College where he studied with Drs. Virginia Strauss and Jubal Fulks. Additional studies were undertaken with Frederick Halgedahl, Dan Auberbach and Maria Peters.
I started working with Andrew after an 18 month hiatus and am very pleased. Andrew's teaching style is very adaptable, which for an adult student who works full time, is great. Some weeks I don't have a lot of time to practice and we focus on technique. Other times, we work on music and technique. He is also great about explaining the "how" and the "why" of why musicians should spend time on scales, technique, etc;
I would absolutely recommend Andrew to adult students and younger student.s

Andrew is an extremely knowledgeable and talented teacher. He explains technique exceptionally well, has an impressive understanding of phrasing and musicality while playing, and is very patient and understanding, he has a great sense of humor, while also giving students the right amount of push they need. He has high expectations but they are always attainable for his students, and he is very flexible with each students unique needs. I highly recommend him as an instructor, he is worth every penny and students always see quick and impressive improvement; I know I did while I studied with him.
Have you or your kids always wanted to learn to play the violin? I am an experienced violin teacher specialized in beginner and intermediate violin students of ALL ages. I believe that it is never too late to learn to play the violin, no matter your age! I teach classical violin through Suzuki method and also modern violin with a focus on rock, jazz and improvisation.
After studying piano for almost 10 years I decided I wanted to learn a new instrument and began taking violin lessons when I was 16 years old. In spite of people telling me that I was “too old” to learn to play the violin, I continued practicing and one year later I joined my first orchestra. In 2016 I graduated with a BA in Music from the University of Massachusetts Boston and I am now the violinist of Boston-based fusion rock band " The Sunset Kings". In November of 2018, I released my Spanish debut single "Ni Una Más" under my artist name "Hannah Schzde". "Ni Una Más" is now available in every music streaming service world-wide! In addition to offering private violin and piano lessons and performing with The Sunset Kings, I am also a studio violinist and perform with different orchestra pits in the Boston area while I continue to wri
te and record new material for my upcoming debut EP. ***Note: My availability is flexible! Please send me a message if my calendar doesn't fit with your schedule and we'll work it out!***

Hands Down the best violin teacher in the Sacramento area! From the flexibility she has with time to the amazing way she teaches. I am a beginner who couldn’t even read music. I told her that was what I was most concerned about. I was able to learn not only to read music but also the background to the music I was learning. To me that was key to learning. Will definitely recommend to anyone that wants to learn the violin!!

I highly recommend Jaclyn. My son was struggling with his practices, she worked with him and gave him the confidence to succeed.
The most important thing when you are learning an instrument is the connection that you can achieve with your professor. I always accommodate the lessons in relation to what my students are looking for, in relation to the goals with the instruments. Teaching violin technique is not something easy to understand, but I try to incorporate a deep understanding in my students, so they can practice in a smart and effective way, reaching positive results in an shorter time period. Dynamic lessons, where the pleasure in doing music is discover.

When you’re first starting to look for a violin brand, it's important to find a compromise between affordability and good quality. It’s not always smart to buy the cheapest model available, as not only is this likely to produce a poor sound and hamper any incentive to practice or progress, but it's likely to lose a lot of value on the resale market - it's worth bearing in mind that student models will be resold at some later date, whether you're moving onto something better, or to another in …
