About sean
Music has always been my release and given me a sense of joy and hope. One of the primary objectives for me as a teacher is to get my students to have these feelings towards music as well. The way I do this is to connect with each student as an individual. Once I understand the type of music they e

Piano is the general instruction of the instrument. I have taught lessons for over 23 years where I have been traveling to the homes.
The students learn not only the general concepts but they also learn Theory which is the understanding of what lies underneath the music itself.
I have an easy going personality with the students learning how to play the piano, but I also want the students to work to their full potential.
The students learn not only the basics of the piano itself, but they also play fun songs, such as popular songs that they know.

Is it hard to learn a musical instrument? That’s usually the first question
people ask. My answer? Not at all! I teach music in three
easy steps: Speak, Read, Write. "Speaking" music simply means learning to
listen and play your instrument. Reading and Writing are what allow you to
pick up your favorite piece of music and learn it on your own, just like
reading a book. Whether you want to play in a concert hall or in your living
room, I will give you the knowledge and technique to help you make
music a part of your life.

I teach piano in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play a certain style like Funk, or Blues, or how to approach a classical sonata. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.
