Kristin is an amazing Piano and Flute instructor. She has a rock solid foundation in music and music theory but also really listens to her students and what they are seeking out of her instruction. She is completely dedicated to her students and great at encouraging and bringing out the best in them. I found Kristin to be extremely knowledgeable, talented, and kind. Would recommend her to musicians and aspiring musicians of all skill levels and ages.

Yegues S.

Lake Worth, FL

About Yegues

I have taken flute lessons from the flute professor at FSU as well as guitar lessons from Dr. Leo Welch here at FSU. I have given multiple lessons and master classes on both flute and guitar. I have also been a music theory tutor for many students. I have a lot of experience with both giving and receiving lessons, so I have learned many ways to adapt to any situation.

I love laughing and making jokes, which is one of the most important aspects of any teacher. Lessons should be something to look forward to rather than dreading to spend time practicing. I do prefer being more laid back as a t
eacher, but still know when it's time to get more serious about the work.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am laid back most of the time time, but I still expect whatever we assigned to be practiced for the next/current lesson. I will expect some form of technique exercise to be played as a warm up to each lesson as well as non-instrumental warm-ups like breathing. As a student, you can choose repertoire to work on, or I can provide music and etudes depending on the skill level.

I can provide rhythm, theory, or note reading worksheets if applicable to the lesson, or if the student is interested in improving themselves in any of those categories.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I will provide a stand and chairs. The student should bring their own stand if they know they have a good one for their height, but it is not necessary. The room will have a piano which will help with ear training and tuning.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will provide all of my repertoire and bring what will be needed as well as make copies. I expect students to have a stand and 2 chairs, however, I can bring a stand if necessary. I can also provide a metronome if needed.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in most styles mentioned above. Flute will be the most diverse because that is my primary instrument, however, I have enough knowledge of multiple styles to be able to teach effectively.

He has experience in teaching large groups and individuals on a one-on-one basis. He was trained under Dr. Gary Packwood, now the Director of Choral Activities at Mississippi State University. He was the minister of music At Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, Florida for 11 years. He was also the ministe

Anthony is a professionally trained vocalist and takes pride in helping to develop other artists and musicians reach their full potential.

Anthony's motto is – "You can achieve anything you are willing to work hard at."

*** Lesson Details ***
The first lesson is an introductory lesson in which we will discover the students skill levels. The student may be asked to sing a song or two so we can notate the problematic areas. No student is trained the same, I do my best to come up with a curriculum that will fit each students skill Level, personal problematic areas and also personality. After attending lessons students should be able to sing with pitch accuracy, vocal power, proper breath support, vocal control, confidence and even stage presence.

My areas of expertise is "VOCAL COACHING", and "STAGE PRESENCE". In my years of training students I have been highly recommended for bringing the best out of a singers voice, Increasing confidence and developing better stage performance . I strive as a teacher to develop a strong relationship with my students. The Reason for this is, the more comfortable we are with each other, the more productive we can be as a team working together for a common goal.

I am passionate about all of my students progression and the achievement of their individual goals as a singer and performer.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Keyboard, microphone and state of the art recording software.

We just signed our 12 year old son up for lessons with Anthony and we are confident that this is in our sons' best interests. We only watched the last few minutes of the lesson and was extremely impressed, not only with the interactive style and the passion for music that he reflected on our son....but his honesty.

We are all very excited to continue working with Anthony!

Melody H.

West Palm Beach, FL

About Melody

I started music at age 5. My parents were both professional musicians. My father was a professional jazz piano player and my mother a classical guitarist. So it is in the blood. I played a few instruments but my favorite guitar and piano. The bass is cool too. I went to Nassau Community College for Drama/Music I toured in theater groups and also was in a few bands while living in NY. I could not make up my mind so I did both. I love both ! I left NY to come down to So. Florida in 1991 due to my father's passing. Since I was new to the area I starting performing regular basis and became well k
nown in the music community.I also went on a song writing spree which was good! I was able to do dinner theater in between the music. I met these two guys now my friends and music teachers from going to the open mics. They encouraged me to go out and start teaching and do what I was supposed to do. How it happened ? I placed one small ad, got a call and from there it grew into over 80 students.I just was referred to everyone it was a chain reaction.
In between teaching I was also in a duo and made time for the touring, local gigs, etc....released 3 CD's.
I was very busy that I decided to open up my own facility to handle the flow of students. I had my business for 9 years. I decided to close it down.
I produced a lot of talent from there.songwriters with published songs, singers with contracts, bands like the guitarist that played in Hey Monday. Students that started with me at age 5 and stayed for years. A lot are off to college or done with school grown up sort of. When they bump into me and say hey Ms. Mel I'll never forget you teaching me music lessons or do you remember this or that or I loved that band class you did. You changed my whole life. I really appreciate it and I did make a difference in their lives.

*** Lesson Details ***
Practice yes that is the question... OK I am not mean and I am not too laid back but if you do not do what your supposed to do be prepared to work. If you do not understand it we will do it until you get it. Remember you bugged mom for the lessons and here you are so it is important that you practice. Cut down on video games and TV. I expect you to be ready to go when you get there. If you want to be a rock star
Little ones mom's I love when you sit in because I am teaching you as well. You will be helping your child practice during the week until the next lesson. For the guitar they will complain of hurting finger tips I cannot do anything about that it comes with guitar playing. Same for piano except the fingers will not hurt.
After 3 to 6 months for the older student I expect all 6 strings to be complete and chords and strumming on guitar and learning songs of your choice.
Piano - Sight Reading and being able to play with 2 hands in the key of "C" with ease.
this will happen with practice, And learning songs of your choice.
Small ones as much time as they need depends upon how long it takes for them to learn it and how much time mom can help practice.
I do make it fun and any student should not feel like they have to get sick before they go to their lesson.

*** Studio Equipment ***
