Tim is great, he is teaching my son so much, he loves going to his lessons and learns so much from Tim, he taught him how to read music and the different types of drums and the different sounds they make, He tells everyone he is taking drum lessons. Tim answers any questions we may have and knows the drums very well, he is also very flexible and outgoing, Tirstan has lots of fun and enjoys his lessons very much. I will recommend Tim to anyone who is looking for a drum instructor.

Tim is a great teacher. He introduced Teddy to the different types of drums and cymbals. He allowed Teddy to play the different drums so that he could hear that each drum has a different sound. He also showed him how could change the pitch of the drum. Teddy really enjoys his lessons.

I grew up in Glenside moved to Pittsburgh for school and came back because I love it here...I've been playing for 17 years and have a smorgasbord of influences from Zeppelin to the Beatles to Phish to Radiohead to the dirty projectors to Jay Z to Kurt Rosenwinkel & John Scofield. I have been composing and working with original bands for some 11 years and play regularly in the city and up and down the east coast. I have also been teaching for the past 11 years all over the Philadelphia area. i teach from a method I derived myself from years of learning both in and out of school. Ben was fabulous! He taught me music I wanted to play at a speed that fit for me and simplified harder songs for a beginner like me to still be able to play a song I loved! Great teacher and picks up on your strengths and weakness. I would highly recommended him as a teacher! He's also funny and would make lesson's enjoyable! He was friendly to my dog and birds as well :)

Coming from a beginner-level guitar player who has previously taken guitar courses, Andrew's definitely extremely talented and, equally importantly, very insightful and understanding when it comes to teaching. He is patient, smart, draws good examples for understanding concepts, and is enjoyable to play alongside with.

andrew is a great teacher

i've been taking bass lessons from andrew for several years and have nothing but great things to say about his teaching abilities. he is organized yet flexible, allowing you to take the lessons the direction you want to take it. he can really connect to the way you think and channel that to advance your skills. my only complaint i don't see him enough, but that's my fault.

Great Instructor

Andrew went above and beyond what I ever expected. He did a great job of covering rudiments and technical aspects, while simultaneously focusing on the "art" of bass playing. He was very aware of my skill level and responsive to my needs as a student. I highly recommend him for beginners and imagine that he would be great for more skilled students as well

I work with logic x. I can help you with garageband as well.
Mic placement, mixing, and getting the right guitar tone are all areas I can assist you with.

About Nero

I have been teaching music for 20 years. I grew up on the 2nd floor of my father's music store in Central PA and have been around music my whole life. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of the Arts where I studied jazz guitar with Pat Martino, Jimmy Bruno, Steve Giordano, and Tom Giacabetti. I was one of the original teachers during the formative years at the Paul Green School of Rock Music where I later went on to be the Music Director of the Philadelphia and Downingtown Schools. During that time, I helped many students prepare and get accepted to music schools, ran and developed music summer camps, and organized concerts where the students performed the music of Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and many more of rock's finest band at every major venue in ...

Mandolin Lessons

I recently started playing mandolin on my own - and decided to take lessons to make sure that my technique was correct. -- All I can say is that Nero is the best music teacher I have ever had - not to mention, a gifted musician. He makes learning fun, and his approach and patience allows you to easily pick up new techniques and skills. I hope to take lessons with Nero for a long time!!!!
Ryan S. Philadelphia, PA

Overview of home recording techniques, mic placement, guitar choice, gear choice, setting up a harmonious home work space.

About Ryan

Born in raised on the south side of Chicago Illinois, I grew up listening to A LOT of great Chicago blues guitarists. After receiving my first acoustic guitar I quickly gravitated towards learning to play blues and blues rock guitar at the age of 13. As my hunger for knowledge grew, I began learning and studying other genres of music through private lessons and lesson videos in the styles of Progressive Rock, Shred, Funk, Fusion and Jazz. Music was a way for me to find structure, discipline, self worth and personal expression outside of the typical confines life provides. Through that I grew as a person and a musician. My sole reason for teaching is to help others find that passion and those qualities within themselves to live a beautiful and fulfilling life through his/her instrument.

Ryan is the third guitar teacher I have tried and in my opinion the best. While the others I tried were either too unstructured or too technical, Ryan does an excellent job of teaching you the all the basics while tying in the more technical theory aspects in a manner that is both efficient and logical. The way he is able to break things down has helped me progress much faster compared to my other guitar teachers. He is also well versed in adapting yours lessons to the style of music you want to learn how to play and can teach you all the different nuances that will help your playing stand out. I highly recommend giving Ryan a shot to help your reach your guitar playing goals.

I am a beginner and Ryan is very patient and helps me work through things I am struggling with. Before I was trying to teach myself but I feel after taking lessons for 2 months I already have learned 10 times as much as before.

Ricky G. Ambler, PA

I can help you to learn the best methods for recording anything. The important thing is to record it right, so you do not have to fix it in the mix.

About Ricky

Hi! Thanks for checking out my profile. My students call me "Mr. Rick." I teach acoustic guitar lessons for kids and adults, beginners through intermediate. I'm the ideal teacher for those who want to play by "ear" while learning the essentials of chord structure, music theory, rhythm, and proper technique for strumming and playing the instrument. I like making people laugh and having them relax and feel comfortable at our lessons together. I enjoy working with people coming back to guitar, or just starting for fun because they love the guitar! For students who want to play at open mics or in a band, lessons include coaching on performance, and how to pull it all together (including how to properly use the mic and vocal techniques for singing while playing ...
