"extremely knowledgeable, patient, and fun
Loretta is an awesome music teacher. She is fun, patient, and encouraging and has such a love of music and a gi
ft for imparting her knowledge to her students, even her youngest ones.
My 10-year-old son has been taking voice lessons with Loretta for about a year now. His lesson is usually the highlight of his week. He really likes it that Loretta always lets him choose the songs he learns to sing.
A couple months ago, we added piano to his lessons, which my son really enjoys. Just a couple weeks ago, he joined his school band and is now learning to play saxophone. He has been able to apply so much of what Loretta has taught him on piano to his saxophone lessons.
We started out taking lessons in Loretta's home studio, but then transitioned to Skype, which is very convenient because it eliminates travel time. I recommend either live or Skype lessons with Loretta. She is the best!"

"Anna Lisa had helped me tremendously through out the time she was my teacher. She was always able to accommodate with my schedule and helped me bring out
the best in me, not only with my voice but with my fear of preforming in front of people. She always knew the right ways to explain techniques and bring out the best in my voice. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher."

"Camden was an excellent instructor for our 13 year-old daughter. Although we had a handful of scheduling issues where timing was not communicated clearly
by the instructor in every case (hence the reduction from 5 stars to 4), when he was present he was patient, engaged and really focused on finding ways to get our daughter to enjoy the learning process."

"Bobby is a great teacher
I Just started taking lessons with Bobby Apperson and I am having a great time! I have always wanted to learn how to play the pi
ano but I just didn't know where to start. I would look up videos on Youtube just to learn to play the songs I liked but it was very difficult since I knew next to nothing about the instrument. Bobby has taught me that playing piano is so much more than tapping away at the keys, he is very attentive that I learn things the right way, and he takes the time to explain concepts I don't understand. He encourages me to ask all the questions I want never making me feel dull. I would recommend anyone to have Bobby Apperson as your teacher. Especially if you are a beginner like me. :)"

"I've been taking guitar lessons across the country since 1975, and Mark is the best instructor I've ever had. His expertise on the instrument is only surp
assed by his ability to make something complicated appear simple for the student. I've had more fun taking lessons and practicing in the past 6 months as Mark's student than I have in the previous 40 years. I highly recommend him."

"My daughter started singing classes with Ismealena a few weeks ago and she is great!! She is extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful tutor."
I am a certified high school English teacher who enjoys teaching people of all ages to play the guitar and bass. In addition, I have a masters degree in music from Bates College. My educational philosophy is to focus on the goals of individual students and then develop lessons and practice routines to help to achieve these goals. I am most proficient in rock, blues, roots/Americana and jazz styles but I have an open mind and I am willing to help you tackle any form of music. I have been playing the guitar since 1995 and the electric bass since 1999, I am very easy to get along with and I a
m sure that I will be able to help you become a better musician. I have played guitar with the Ska band Mrs. Skannotto (2000-2003) and in various rock and blues projects since. I have been teaching guitar lessons for over two years and love to help my students improve their playing.
*** Lesson Details *** I have a laid back personality, but I do expect to develop defined goals for each lesson in order to make sure that my students are making progress towards their goals for their instrument. I create individualized lessons for each student based on their goals that may include the use of a lesson book (Hal Leonard) and chord/scale charts. I am also willing to record backing tracks for students to practice with at home.
A beginning guitar student may expect to learn to tune the instrument, change strings, play open chords, learn scales and rhythm (picking or strumming) techniques in the first few months. Afterwards, more advanced skills like basic music theory, chord structure, finger-picking, reading TAB and soloing over chord progressions will be taught.
By three months, a beginning bass student will learn to tune the instrument, learn to play over basic chord progressions and learn finger-style and/or picking technique depending upon their preference and style. I will help you to learn to lock in with a drummer in a band situation since the bass is all about the groove after all. A great band always starts with a solid rhythm section.
*** Studio Equipment *** Living Room: couch, chairs, music stand, guitar amp, basses and guitars, parents can sit in on lesson
*** Travel Equipment *** I provide an amplifier for my students to use if necessary. My students are expected to provide their own instrument for lessons.
*** Specialties *** Blues, Rock, Folk, Jazz, Indie/Alt Rock

Clay does a great job teaching my ten year old daughter
As noted above, Clay is very good with a beginner like my daughter. He has a great, gentle manner, is very patient, and is clearly very skilled at playing the guitar itself. He is doing a great job!
Robert B., classical guitarist, has been performing and teaching classical guitar since the 1990’s. He earned his teacher’s certificate and performer’s certificate at the “Conservatorium van Maastricht” (Netherlands) and came to Boston, to study with Eliot Fisk at New England Conservatory. Robert has also participated in many masterclasses given by internationally-renowned artists such as Pepe Romero, David Russell, Abel Carlevaro and Alexander Frauchi.
Robert performs regularly as a soloist or in collaboration with piano, violin, flute or voice in programs ranging from classical opera ari
as to contemporary compositions dedicated to his piano guitar duo.
As a teacher, Robert tailors his lessons according to each student’s ability and interests, helping them to reach their potential in a fun and relaxed learning environment. Through a process of exploration and discovery of their instrument, Robert stimulates students’ natural curiosity about the guitar where all challenges are an opportunity for learning. The more comfortable they feel with their instrument, the more likely they are to enjoy the practicing that will make them proficient on the guitar, or even a master!
*** Lesson Details *** Setting personal goals and determining how to get there provides a clear structure in your lessons and provide continuous guidance to your practice. As a teacher Robert helps you set and reach your goals by dividing the learning curve in small, manageable chunks. Like walking, you get there a step at the time with Robert there to help and support you all the way.
*** Studio Equipment *** Since Robert will be visiting at your house, it is important to have a proper set up for your lesson. Two chairs, a foot stool, a music stand, set up in a room to work undisturbed. If you are using an electric guitar, make sure to also have an amplifier (I can bring one if needed) and a working cable! Oh, and have a notebook and something to write!
*** Travel Equipment *** Footstool and music stand if needed, student needs to have instrument and two proper chairs
*** Specialties *** I am prolific in any style and my specialization is classical guitar, methods are a mix from the 19th century masters (Carulli, Carcassi, Sor) and later masters (Pujol, Carlevaro) But also more contemporary insights from Shearer and specifically the Suzuki method for guitar.

Exceptionally thorough teacher
Robert is exceptionally thorough and starts from the fundamentals of classical guitar playing. I was an intermediate acoustic/electric guitar player but a beginner classical guitarist, so he started with correcting my right hand technique.
He is very light-hearted, funny and a cheerful teacher. Although classical guitar playing is intense, he allows me to learn at a comfortable pace and provides helpful resources (music sheets) to practice and improve.
I would highly recommend Robert if you are looking for a classical guitar teacher.

GO FOR IT and make an appointment right now!!!
I was one of Roberts first students in the 80´s. I stopped playing the guitar long time ago but I always think back to Roberts classes with a warm heart and a smile. These were good times! I learnt a lot and sure we had a lot of fun as well. It is great to see how Robert developed over the years. As a truly dedicated musician he is continuously refining his skills (while I thought he was exceptional already). Students from all levels and walk of life will benefit greatly from his allround knowledge and experience.

Outstanding classical guitar teacher
As an adult student who is very busy but still loves to play, I appreciate that Robert's wide repertoire and experience helps to make the best use of my time by targetting appropriate instructional pieces. He is a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and patient teacher.
Hi there! I'm Michael and I recently graduated from New England Conservatory (NEC) with my BFA in Jazz Performance on trombone while also completing NEC's Music-In-Education (MIE) Concentration.
I'm currently an active trombonist in the Boston music scene having played with a wide variety of groups at many of Boston's top venues. I also enjoy curating and producing music events and festivals! But most importantly, I love to teach (that's why you're here, right?)!
Working with people and watching them grow brings me a lot of joy. A recent highlight was hosting my first recital for my stu
dents at my private studio-- it was a really special evening and am excited for more!
Feel free to e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 617-827-7378. I'd love to chat!
*** Lesson Details *** The number one tenant is to have fun! I offer a relaxed, but hard-working environment while keeping the lessons easy-going, stimulating, and educational. My job is to challenge you, make your "brain sweat," and to keep you engaged. I'm flexible and very sensitive to your needs.

Michael is an excellent teacher. For the first time in years, my 11 years old son is looking forward the his trombone lessons! Not only he's making lots of progress, he also loves the fact that Michael is always open to play the music that he likes and that they improvise a lot, which makes it so much more fun playing.
Michael is also very easy to get in touch with and very accommodating if a change in schedule is needed.
Super easy going, highly recommended.

My daughter is learning so much from Michael. She started out having no idea how to play any brass instrument. She's now been taking lessons with Michael for 4 months and is making great progress. He's a fantastic teacher and also very reliable and communicative around scheduling issues. Highly recommended.

My 14-year-old loves his lessons with Michael. Michael makes learning the trumpet fun because because they play the music my son is interested in learning. We no longer fight when it's time to practice.

My daughter is continuing to enjoy playing the piano, and each week she is improving. Lori, you are doing a wonderful job, as the most difficult part of teaching children is keeping them engaged, and you are doing just that.

I have enjoyed my lessons with Ashley because:
1. Pace of instruction is perfect for my level (beginner) and available practice time (limited).
2. Ashley isn't simply teaching me how to play a song; rather she is improving my technique in this critical period where bad habits can still be changed.
3. Always on time (granted instruction is at her location but none the less this is appreciated).
