As an awarding and published poet, (see Amazon.com for my "Kaleidoscope: Life's Meaningful Reflections" series of books and audio books) I'll help you begin to express your thoughts, emotions, and stories in your own songs, and in your own unique style that will bring your message to the world! I am a professional speaker and I decided to pursue some speaker voice coaching. This was my first lesson and Vanessa was friendly and great personality. I felt comfortable with her
immediately. She provided education, demonstration, observed me apply the techniques, and offered constructive feedback. After the class, I was excited to practice what I learned. I will definitely continue to go back to Vanessa. I highly recommend her.

It help him understand about the instrument and the sound when he play. He do have a sense of humor which help my son to have fun and be more comfortable. He also teaches other instruments, too. I was out of town when my 15-year old son had his lesson with Kevin, so I sent a text to my son to find out how it went. "He is the best guitar teacher ever!!" my son replied. I think that says it all.

I'm a complete newbie and Indigo has been a great instructor for helping to get me going! I appreciate that she brings in some basic music theory from the get-go so that you have a basis for understanding / navigating the instrument. I appreciate her patience and emphasis on slowing down and practicing with consistency.

Indigo is a fantastic teacher! I've taken lessons with Indigo both online (recently) and in-person (when I used to live in NYC). Indigo's teaching style really resonated with me - she provides incredible support and encouragement for beginners and her instruction has always helped me understand the weird nuances of singing and how to unlock my voice. She has also helped me with more advanced music theory/guitar during lesson to compliment the singing and help with songwriting. She also makes the online format work really well (which I can't imagine is easy) and I've always felt like the online lessons were as valuable/productive as the in-person lessons I took before I moved.
Maddie B.
I have been self-taught for a couple years and felt very stuck, learning disjointed online material, but Indigo has absolutely put me on a musical path! It feels really empowering to finally start having a grasp on theory and technique. I highly recommend.

He knows the audio engineering side as well as the songwriting side and he’s coached me when I’ve done vocals in his studio. Very accommodating and good dude."

"Working with Fawn on my songs the past 3 years has been a complete blessing. What used to be disorganized thoughts have been turned into lyrics and songs. I never thought I'd see the day when my songs would be ready to be recorded in a studio. Also, it's cool to be working with a coach who is current. (She just won for the Great America Song Contest last month). With all the awards she has won and career success she's had, she is still humble and really cares about her students progress and own careers. I love working with her and look forward to continuing."

Songwriting Tips: 11 Examples From 7 Hit Songs

Writing a catchy song that delivers a strong message can be quite difficult. Here, voice teacher Emmanuel N. shares the songwriting tips you can glean from several famous singers...     When it comes to lyric-writing and songwriting, nobody can really teach you how to do it – it’s better to show by example. Whether you’re simply writing lyrics to a song you will one day sing (or someone else will sing for you) or you’re songwriting to a musical piece you found or created, …
