Becoming comfortable as a vocalist is TOUGH. But there are simple tricks I’ve learned outside of just running scales. Lets enjoy our time expressing ourselves!

About Scott

Music fuels the soul!! Let's get learning and having fun. I play upright bass, electric bass, guitar, piano, drums, and sing. I also compose original songs and Jazz music. I am currently completing my Master's at Manhattan School of Music. In NYC I have played at Smoke Jazz club and have done many p

I had no clue how to play a bass guitar. I was fortunate thru the college he was teaching at to be honored to have Scott teach me at my beginner level, the basics of bass guitar. His patience with me was much appreciated as again, this was new to me and at the time being 69 years old, I wasn’t a quick learner. After several sessions, I was able to play basic cords, study the notes on the frets thru his lesson plan. I was sad that Scott left the college for NYC, but was very happy for him as he wanted to pursue his masters degree. Thanks to his patience and excellent teaching skills, I was able to continue lessons with another instructor and not embarrass myself as I had minute skills that helped me become a little more than a beginner. I am still going at it and loving every second but it was Scott’s patience and teaching skills that kept the fire lit to continue pursuing my love of the bass guitar. I can’t thank Scott enough and I wish him well with his goal of a master’s degree.

Amazed at the quality of instruction from an online lesson!! My children have taken voice lessons from several wonderful teachers but Kylie is by far the best. She is a gifted singer and teacher. After just one lesson my children were progressing and excited to practice and meet with Kylie again. The convenience and caliber of the online lesson can't be beat. Definitely highly recommend!!
Melanie
I wasn't sure how effective online singing lessons would be but after one lesson I was amazed at how much I learned! Kylie's understanding of the voice and the mechanics behind good singing helps her to quickly know what her students need to do differently and she explains it in a way that is easy to understand. Gifted singer and gifted teacher. Definitely highly recommend!!

My approach is best defined with one word: natural. Everything about you is unique, including your voice. Imitating denies this simple fact. So I'm all about stripping away all imitation, getting you in touch with your voice and then making that signature voice of yours strong and flexible. Your voice should be as unique as you are. I work with all levels and if you don't like my lessons - I will give you your money back.

About Gabriel

I have been helping singers of all levels for over 15 years. My passion for professional singing began with listening to pop and rock singers on the radio back in the early 90’s and continued evolving into the early 2000’s when I discovered musical theater. The sounds I hear on the radio and on

I have been teaching this subject for over 16 years. There is no specific curriculum as each student will come to lessons with their own unique skills, needs, and goals. Lessons are tailored to those specifics. It is not necessary to know how to read music at the first lesson for beginners. However, learning to read is required for subsequent lessons and will be a large focus for all non-readers. Music is not learned "by ear." A certain amount of theory will be a part of every lesson just as technique and repertoire. Concerning repertoire, it may be selected from the western classical, musical theatre, and popular rep based on the student's goals and learning needs with their input. The main emphasis on performance lessons, however, will be technique and reading. Students should come to the first lesson prepared to discuss their background & goals and the plan of their course of study.

Troy is an absolutely magical teacher and mentor. He not only provides caring, personalized instruction that goes far beyond the traditional fundamentals, he really takes the time to push me in ways that I find enjoyable and rewarding. I feel as though my lessons are dynamic and varied enough to keep me always engaged and looking forward to that next session. Best of all, Troy is that special type of guru that really gives you that added incentive to go the extra mile...I never feel a guilt or pressure to be at a certain level or practice a certain amount, I just feel this desire to impress Troy during my next lessons. Awesome stuff - very special guy! Looking forward to a lifetime of learning with Troy!
