I've been teaching French for 4 years. It is true that French language can be challenging to learn but with my help and experience (and some homework), you'll be able to speak fluently in a reasonable period of time! I want you to enjoy learning, so we'll work conjugation, grammar rules, pronunciation etc, but most importantly, we'll work on your interests, what inspires you, the reason why you want to learn French. We'll watch videos, read articles, listen to songs... Remember, my priority is your expectations! And my English is very good...

About Jean-Gabriel
Hi everyone! I'm a French teacher. A perfect pronunciation, tools for work or casual conversation and grammar rules are essential to be well understood. I'll help you master these. I've been doing subtitling for French TV channels since 2010. I also love to teach, play and talk about music (any kind of music such as house music, dubstep, jazz, reggae, ska, Latino, rock, blues, classical French music...). I can teach you how to sing, play guitar, bass, drums, percussion, and also electronic music with softwares like Protools, Logic Audio, Fruity loops... (Mac or PC). I'm from the south of France (Provence) but I spent 9 years in Paris between 2003 and 2012, where I sang and played music in studios and live. I also worked for an Audiovisual school over there (ESRA Paris). I've been living in Seattle area from October 2012. I enjoy a lot sha
ring my experience and meeting new people who share theirs. My priority is you and your expectations. Let's meet, learn and have fun!

I took four years of French, including one AP credit, in high school. I earned As in all four years. I have been abroad several times in my life, one summer I even took a trip to France where I stayed exclusively with a French family.
I am familiar with all the regular verb conjugations and many of the irregular ones as well. My vocabulary is fairly extensive and my strength is conversational language.

About David
My name is David and I'm a professional musician who just moved to North Austin. I came from Cincinnati, where I went to the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, taught dozens of students at all levels and played regular gigs every weekend. I have been teaching for over fifteen years, and I'm looking to get a few new students.
I teach guitar, piano, bass guitar and even upright bass. If it's a tutor you are looking for I can also teach music theory and appreciation. I have a knack for teaching young people, probably because I was young when I started my musical journey. I've been very successful at inspiring a student's love of music and instilling the patience required to take on the challenge of playing an instrument.
The first thing I like to do is get to know you, the music you enjoy and your goals. In a way, I l
ike to begin by letting the student lead.
In addition to learning from you, I intend to present you with new information, to try and broaden your musical tastes and teach you how to be an active listener.

Native French speaker.
Intense reader and passionate by French literature as well by the language practice itself.
I am not here to judge you but to help you to achieve your goals, my sessions will always be built around your needs and not mines.
We'll take it slowly if you want me to but we can also go more intensively if that's how you want.
I will only recommend you how we should do it but you are the student and will end up being the one and only making the decisions about the way of learning that fits you the best, all based on my recommendations and observations that you are free to consider.

I am so far away from the arrogant attitude that makes some teachers feel they should be listened and followed since they master their own language.
Yeah I do master the French language and yeah I have always been on top of the French speakers who practice, teach and speak a proper French with the love for the language.

About Aissa
Bonjour and hi to my future students,
Native French speaker here and intense reader who is passionate by French literature as well by the language practice itself.

My name is Aissa, as my daily job, I am a pathologist here in the U.S. but I was Born and raised in Belgium and lived in Paris for 10 years.
French is my native language but not only I am passionate about it, I have been Lucky enough to share it with people who are really interested by the language.

I have been tutoring French for as long as I can remember (around the age of 16), and did so with my classmates who were struggling, to my nephews in France and England and to my friends here in the U.S. I have done it for free with people I know and just because of the passion to share the language but I have also done it as an official paid tutor.
I am very patient and t
ry to focus on my students needs without the arrogance of mastering my own language, which I shouldn’t get credit for anyway.

If I meet someone in the street in Paris who needs my help and try to do it in French, my philosophy is to always trying to adjust myself to understand different accents and not expect from them to be perfect speaker in a language that is not their native one.

Yeah I do master the French language and yeah I have always been on top of the French speakers who practice, teach and speak a proper French with the love for the language.
But that being said, it doesn't give me the right to judge you or expect you to be at my level. I just love sharing my knowledge with my students in the way that can help them and make them gain in confidence.

As a French native I'll start with the basic from scratch, to have students to understand the principal of the language. Almost at the same time I'd start all the categories of the verbs which becomes very particular when it comes to the irregular ones. In order to have the students to listen and be exposed to the music and prononciation of the language, from the beginning I'd speak french and would translate in English when necessary. For best practice and fast improvements students would be given homework via Google docs, to be fulfilled before the next tuition. Students would also have the ability to tailor their lessons if they had particular preferences.

Bonjour ! As a French native I'll start with the basic from scratch, it is important to quickly understand the principal of the language. Almost at the same time you'll be exposed to all categories of French verbs which becomes very particular when it comes to the irregular ones. In order to have you to better understand and to be exposed to the music and prononciation of the language, from the beginning, I'd speak French and would translate in English when necessary. For best practice of hand writing and fast improvements students would be given homework via Google docs, to be fulfilled before the next tuition. For those who already have some experience of the language I can likely satisfy any particular request in terms of more advanced lessons.

Bonjour! Ça va? I took three years of French in High School and became infatuated with the subject. I had an amazing teacher (I miss you Madame Campbell!) who cared about each individual student and really made me passionate about the language. I Peer Tutored for French 1 my Junior year of High School and helped six students raise their grades from F's to B's. I still continue to study French after High School, and while my speaking is in an American accent, I can read and write French very well. I hope to continue to learn and explore a beautiful language and help others do the same!

About Kendall
I'm a Freshman in college working towards my Bachelor's in History Education with a minor in English. I don't have a lot of experience teaching, but I do have a bit. I was a Peer Tutor in High School for French 1 and AP US History. I also tutored my cousins and their friends in 7th grade English and I am currently teaching my little brother how to read. I'm passionate about teaching and want to gain experience by tutoring so I'm more prepared for the classroom environment. I hope to help students learn and achieve the goals they have set in an easy, friendly way. I know that History and English can be boring and "don't matter", but they are the subjects you have to take all four years of High School, and those grades matter.
