I discovered my love for teaching French while practicing a "tandem" teaching/learning method in 2005. The only way to learn a new language is to practice and put yourself in situations where you must speak. You must also accept making mistakes! Together, we will create an environment where it is possible to be immersed (although temporarily). With my experience learning English and my mastery and love for French, I look forward to meeting you and practicing French avec "le plaisir d'apprendre".

About Houmed
My name is Houmed G. I grew up in a small coastal town in Djibouti. I grew up using the Somali, Afar, and French languages at home and at school. My major in high school was science. I earned a scholarship to pursue my university studies in France. My international experiences living and working in Europe, Africa, and America, in addition to my ability to speak and think in English, French, Afar, and Somali are among my greatest accomplishments. Respect for multilingualism and multiculturalism are important aspects of who I am as a teacher. I take my skills and experiences into the learning environment in order to accommodate many different learning styles. I've been teaching physics as an Assistant Professor and private tutor for almost ten years and I've loved helping my students succeed. All of my students who were in their last year o
f high school received an “A” grade after working with me. My goal as a tutor is to help. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

French is my second language, but often feels as it if were the first, as I have speaking it for so many years on an everyday and professional basis. My grammar is excellent, as I learned the rules in junior high school in the Paris suburbs (grammar is an important part of French schooling). I edited a 240-page scholarly book, De La Case A La Villa (published 2014), and I gave private lessons.

About Diane
Bonjour! Hello!
I have been teaching on and off for many years, usually on a one-to-one basis; I taught teenagers and adults. I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs and I am always ready to go above and beyond the basic lesson. I try to make learning a language fun and alive, through news, stories, and songs.
My graduate educational background is in architecture, followed by an MBA in finance. My mother tongue is English; but I learned French at the age of nine when I attended my first French school. I have a French high school diploma (Baccalauréat) and architecture degree.
I also attended high school in Germany, in a German high school, for several years. Learning languages was a necessity in my childhood, and I love learning, even if by now it is more difficult to become fluent in a new language. I think the fact
of being a lifelong learner helps me better understand my students' needs.
As an avid reader since childhood, my spelling has always been excellent, and I worked as a proofreader. I look forward to helping my students reach their language goals.

I design my French lessons to be fun and interactive with innovative teaching techniques. I use games, debates, brainstorm and subjects students like.
I believe that repetition is key in order to learn better and pronounce correctly.

About Aurore
Hi!

I am a young professional woring as a regional sales manager. I graduated in international business in France. Alongside my studies, I've always been passionate about learning new languages : I speak four. It gave me the ability to try different unique techniques.

My classes are fun and interactive. I teach students in a relaxed way that make them want to learn without being stressed out. I teach students to gain confidence when speaking French.

I taught French as a tutor while I was at university to students from 12 to 30. Before that, I worked as an au pair in Croatia and taught French by emplementing games, drawings to children. Last year, I took a gap year to teach French at university in Taiwan. I was teaching French speaking classes to undergraduate and graduate students. I assisted professors in grammar and civilization cla
sses.

I use various teaching techniques such as interaction, reverse classroom, debates, and repetition.
I love to mentor students who want to become fluent, or who would like to begin learning French.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you learning the world's most beautiful language!
