"Miss Fawn is very professional, knowledgable and patient. My twelve-year-old son actually got more out of one lesson with her than from several lessons received by his other Juilliard trained private instructor. After just a few months, I can't believe the high level of music and songs he is playing. Fawn not only makes him master his fingering, music theory, reading notes and his touch, but she gives him a test after each level, without telling him in advance. She says she "wants to know what he's absorbed" and "what's become part of him." Then whatever he can't remember, she focuses on, tests him again after they have covered what he is lacking in and so on and so on, until it all becomes part of him. She also assigns him reading material about different composers and has him listen to one piece each of them have written. Miss Fawn doesn't miss a thing. On top of being an incredible teacher, Her experience, thoroughness, talent, patience, and great personality definitely count and are what I consider music magic for my son. Thank you Miss Fawn."

Is Cello Hard to Learn? Read THIS Before Taking Lessons

Many beginning musicians wonder, “Is cello hard to learn?” The process of learning the cello is not difficult, but it’s important to keep in mind that the cello is not an instrument of instant gratification. It does require focused, daily practice time and a good teacher to guide you along the way. How far you progress with cello is a direct result of the amount of quality time you put into practicing the instrument. Even someone who puts in just 30 minutes a day will notice a signi …
