I can teach Bass in a variety of styles including but not limited to: Rock, R&B, Funk, Jazz, Country and more.

About Ryan
I have been playing guitar and bass for 19 years. In that time I have written, recorded and produced 6 albums of original music and toured the west coast three times. In 2011, I began my formal music training at Shoreline Community College. I am well versed in the many genres of rock and roll as well as classical, jazz, country, and worship music. I have performed in jazz groups, worship teams, rock bands, solo classical guitar and played orchestra guitar in Shoreline Community College's production of the play "Working" by Stephen Schwartz. In addition to my varied performance experience I have contributed original compositions to 8 student games produced at DigiPen Institute of Technology. I am a well rounded musician with a ton of relevant experience and I am looking for an opportunity to share that with others.

Well, it was my nine year olds first lesson and we're all feeling optimistic, so that's a good sign! Ryan gave me some pointers on banjo shopping before I ever signed up for lessons, told ya what book we would need, and he showed up with parts I didn't know we needed! Looking forward to next week :)

If You want to get in a band and get in a band Fast,
Bass Guitar is the way to do it. I can show you exactly how I did it early on in my career.

Bass Guitar is one of my specialties..

About Matthew
Hi.. My name is Matt. I'm a very energetic, friendly, understanding & passionate music coach who has worked with students & clientele throughout the US. Possessing more than 25 years of music training & music industry experience, I've been able to take people's Playing to amazing levels.

In my musical travels I've networked or shared the stage with many famous NW music legends:
1.) Roger Fisher- Heart-2013 Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame Inductee
2.) Lynn Sorensen- Paul Rogers/Bad Co/KZOK's Spike & Impalers
3.) Donny Evola - Geoff Tate/Former Queensryche/Foghat
4.) Jeff Kathan- Paul Rogers/Bad Company/Montrose
5.) Doug Mcgrew- Geoff Tate/Former Queensryche Singer/Operation Mindcrime
6.) Update - For the last year I have been playing off and on with Rudy Parris from NBC TV's "The Voice". Season 3 - Team Blake. He is an incredible music
ian and I'm proud to call him and his manager my friends. His new album coming out is nothing short of amazing.

In fact everyone I've mentioned above are pro all the way and great guys as well. I"m honored to have played with them.

I challenge my students to view music more than just as a "skill", but also a tool to communicate effectively and to combat life's obstacles.

I have had many guitar teachers myself including one true Famous Rock Star legend here in Pacific NW. Congrats Rog. U Earned It, & inspire myself, & others everyday.

You got to know the rules 1st, before you can then break the rules. This is how you develop your own unique style. And it's what separates the Pro Players from the rest of the pack.

But even if you don't want to play professionally, maybe you just want to learn a few chords, licks, songs, for yourself, or to impress friends. That's okay too!

I welcome every level and style. I always learn something from my students.
That's what music is all about. Learning & trading tips and licks from other musicians.

He regularly plays in clubs around Seattle, is frequently employed by local musical theater orchestras, and already teaches a vibrant studio in Northeast Seattle.

I've been a musician all of my life. I have a music education degree and have performed in professional ensembles. I've played bass guitar in a funk rock band, covering many Red Hot Chili Peppers songs, as well as others from the 90's.

I currently focus my energy on the acoustic guitar, however I feel very comfortable playing and teaching introductory and intermediate skills on the bass, including techniques in finger picking and slap bass techniques.

Curriculum will include technique, styles discussion, songs, and performance.

About Joshua
I am a tutor who earned a music teaching degree and didn't want to be a school teacher. I worked professional jobs in retail and tech sales and have come back to teaching.

Whatever subject or instrument I teach, I always make sure to work with the student first. I enjoy helping learners have new aha moments.

The majority of my students take guitar, bass guitar, or Spanish lessons, though I am an educator and help my students learn other skills and knowledge sets too.

I went to Ohio State University for college, earned a BA in Music Education, and graduated Kum Laude. I also spent 4 years in the Ohio State University Marching Band, partially to rehab a brain injury.

Through my healing journey, I've developed patience, insight, and understanding for my students' learning processes.

Practice is a must in order to develop the n
ecessary skills that demonstrate learning.

I'm excited to help you incorporate new skills into your life!

In search of helping our 10 year old son build some self-confidence we sought out clarinet lessons this summer. He started playing in school last year, and it was something our reluctant son liked "enough" to want to build up some competency. Joshua has been amazing! He finds just the right amount of challenge to encourage my son to practice, but not get discouraged. My son looks forward to his lesson each week and told me that he isn't even sure he wants to switch to saxophone next year because he is having so much fun playing the clarinet. Joshua is amazing with children, and has spent time getting to know our kiddo and find out what will work best for him. Patient, calm, and inspiring--very talented instructor.

I whole-heartedly recommend Joshua for anyone of any age and any skill level who wants to enrich their life learning guitar. I appreciate the fact that he makes the time and has the patience to adapt to my needs. Joshua is flexible in scheduling - especially for those unforeseen incidents - which is appreciated.

Being an adult beginner with music lessons, Joshua eases my frustration on immediately wanting to play perfect notes and chords. I look forward to continuing lessons.
