I focus on creating a safe and free sound. Alignment is the basis a great technique. Each person is different, and knowing how to help them release unwanted tension is critical.

The vocal folds are the core of the sound, and must be given the utmost care and consideration. Proper hydration is essential. They are also muscles, that need strengthening exercises and time for them to change. This will improve your vocal endurance and range. As a highly trained voice teacher, I can hear if the vocal folds are behaving in a healthy and efficient manner. It is essential that your teacher understand how to care for these delicate components of the human voice.

Vocal resonance is how opera singers are heard without amplification. It can be enhanced through awareness and coordination of the various portions of the vocal tract. There are two main components that help magnify the sound. The pharynx, also known as the throat, and the soft palate. Having an open throat and lift ...

Young multilingual (English, Cantonese, and Mandarin) piano and violin teacher who combines the formal traditional Eastern style of teaching, and the fun approach of Western style of teaching into his music lessons.

Fun lessons but also challenging
- I believes that fun lessons are easy to gain young student interest, but it often lack to give them motivation. In the lessons, I often challenge my students, let them be self-motivated and become a better musician.

Techniques
- I focus lessons on teaching proper techniques with their instruments. With my experiences in taking lessons from American, Chinese, and Russian teachers, I learnt a great spectrum of techniques and like to teach what I had learn.

Learning pieces and other related topics
- Playing pieces and songs is only a small piece of playing an instrument. In lessons, I also teaches proper music theory, and ear-training.

I haves students from age 4 to retirement age. Early beginner to preparing for college ...

Ms Serena is a quality teacher with high expectations and rigid policies. My daughter took lessons for approximately six months. During this time, she learned a great deal regarding vocal technique and the physiology behind quality sound and breath control. Ms Serena also guided my daughter through the creative writing process of composing her own song.
Lana
Serena was so kind, encouraging and helpful in beginning my vocal training. She focused on the fundamentals, explaining and answering every question I had, teaching me about proper technique, vocal health, audition etiquette, and more. She was also always willing to listen to how I was feeling and was very kind and welcoming at all times In a very short amount of time, my vocal technique and quality improved, and I now am a much more confident and healthy singer. Serena is amazing!
Lynnette
My daughter and I are very happy with how Serena coached her. Her technical way of teaching has helped Jana , my daughter, understand the mechanics of singing better. We booked the $400/5sessions promo in preparation for my daughter’s competition and we are happy to say that she did very well, thanks to Serena’s coaching.
Serena is very professional, communicates clearly, and is excellent in her craft. It is unfortunate that due to other family affairs, we are unable to continue with her.

I love teaching music. I think it should be fun and exciting to improve on an instrument. I meet the student where they are at with their ability and work up from there. I find as many different approaches to help students learn new playing techniques or refining ones they may already know. While my primary instrument is trombone I can easily transfer my skills over to euphonium. Music education is my passion in life and I can’t wait to work with you!

"Great teacher and musician

We had some difficulty locating a clarinet teacher for our 10 year old daughter and did not love relying on the internet but Dimitry was quite a find. He has been fabulous in every aspect and our daughter has progressed beautifully and loves the clarinet. He is a true professional and a great musician. We recommend him highly with no reservations."

"Sally has taught piano for over 15 years with her husband Tim. Tim teaches voice and has professional singing experience with San Diego Opera. There teaching style has provided a structured environment with very patient, encouraging tone so the most timid of students will want to learn. Students with learning challenges have done well with their program. Periodic recitals and music competitions are scheduled during the year to showcase each students learning accomplishments. Both Tim and Sally are loving people and would welcome anyone who desires to learn piano, guitar, violin, and voice from their experienced teachers."

"I am an adult learner who always had a passion for singing but was too afraid to perform in front of others. I have been practicing all my life, and about ten years ago, I started implementing how to books and YouTube videos. I am decent at learning many things on my own, but singing was not one of them. I wish that I knew about lessons with Cyndi a long time ago. Cyndi's knowledge is expansive and advanced. She knows how to make the most out of your voice and the song while allowing you to sing the style that you want to sing. Her exercises and explanations are very clear and answer so many lifelong questions for me. I definitely consider myself a beginner with a lot of bad habits, but Cyndi has the patience to help me until I get it right. I noticed a lot of improvement after the first lesson. After almost two months, I truly feel comfortable with recommending Cyndi to others because of the great improvements I hear that I sometimes didn't think I was capable of. It is a dream come true to be learning how to sing. These lessons are fun, and I look forward to them every week. Thank you, Cyndi! :)"
