As an aspiring polyglot, I am a Moroccan trilingual who speaks French, Arabic, and English while currently learning Japanese and German. I have been tutoring since high school and still wish to continue since i really enjoy working with students with diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds. So, In the purpose of sharing my passion languages, boost your confidence, as well as build skills in you that will be utilized well beyond tutoring sessions, i have developed many tricks in order to explain complex concepts using easy-to-understand terms and ideas.

"Bonjour" and "Bievenue" to French tutoring! As an international singer, I can teach you the ins and outs of French so that you sound like a local, and can keep up in class or when you study abroad. We'll work on grammar, making up your own sentences, practicing conversations, and improving your pronunciation so you sound like a true francophone.

My strong interest for languages oriented me towards a "Literature Baccalaureate" for which I studied - among other fields - German, English, Ancient Greek and Latin, and graduated Summa cum Laude in 2010. After high school, I went on to study for five years at Sciences Po Paris, France's elite school for social and political sciences.

Learning about the hidden history of words and the construction of sentences has always fascinated me, and I strongly believe that this is what makes the difference between a regular native speaker, and one who can actually transmit his knowledge of the language. Writing and speaking a proper french is not enough. When it comes to teaching, one has to be able to explain the "why" behind each word, idiom and grammatical rule, because that is how we remember best. Bonjour!

I grew up about twenty minutes from the border with France and got to go there regularly from early on. I started learning French when I was 12 and started teaching it when I was 15 because, believe it or not, I enjoy the sometimes weird grammatical complexities of French.

At university I took advanced classes to continue learning and when I went to study in Canada I lived in a shared house with six native speakers of Canadian and European French. This year I spent the spring in Morocco and Togo where I got to experience two more varieties French.

I consider myself highly Francophile, enjoy reading in French and take pleasure in teaching it. Explaining grammar, spelling, pronunciation and difficult features of the language are my assets as I have been largely successful in sharing them with students, friends and acquaintances over the years.

My name is Christina and I am thrilled to share my passion of French language and culture with you! A recent graduate from Colgate University with a bachelor's in French Language and Litterature with Honors, I have moved to Lyon, France to begin my adult life. I am currently studying International Comparative Education (master's) from the Université de Bordeaux and working as a high school English Language Assistant in Lyon. I previously worked in France as a language assistant in Dijon, France (yes, like the mustard) when I studied abroad during my undergraduate studies.

I have several experiences teaching. Most relevantly, I was a University French Tutor and Program Coordinator of the Foreign Language Program at Colgate University where I designed curriculums, activities, lessons and materials to teach French langauge and culture to local elementary students.
