I've been a writing, recording, performing and touring artist for 21 years now. I play in a national band and also do singer/songwriter solo work.
All of it came from learning how to play the guitar. I firmly believe that anybody can learn this, if they want to put in the work and effort. I guess the saying is: ''you don't work music, you play it, but it takes work to learn to play it''. Anyways, I've gathered a lot of experience over the years and still learning everyday. I really enjoy the teaching aspect of music and to make those musical connections with people. I think Keith Richards said it best when asked about the best part of being a musician,: ''you pass it on''. I will stand by that. Looking forward to meeting you!
About Lars
My name is Lars and I am looking forward to teaching you guitar. I've been teaching guitar for 7 years. I believe that anybody can learn to play well, if they work hard, stick with it and have a passion for it. Because I did. It took a lot of work for me and did not come easy. It's never easy, nor

Currently, I have been playing various community theater gigs across the northwest suburbs in Chicago. I own my own home studio and I think it's important to learn fundamentals in technique and music theory but if all you want to do is rock, I'm fine with that.

He's a great teacher and I recommend him as a teacher. He teaches you many things and I've been a student for at least 1 year. He teaches many things like chords, strings, triads, and even more than that. He's and awesome teacher and try to help you learn. He just loves the kids who want to learn."

Her teaching method is to help you gain insight and skill through patient practice of gradually changing exercises. She doesn't snow you with theory, but presents it to you in digestible amounts just when it will make sense. She welcomes questions and I always learn from our discussions.
She has led me to learn techniques on the guitar that I was absolutely sure I could never learn. For something to seem impossible at the start, to seem possible a week later and to be routine a month later is amazingly uplifting.
Kimberly's background was first a life of teaching herself and playing gigs with all kinds of bands in all kinds of places. She has also deepened and strengthened her knowledge by gaining academic degrees in guitar and jazz and also by studying under masters. This gives her an incredibly deep understanding of learning and teaching music, an immense skill in playing guitar, and an appreciation for the challenges of playing with other people.
I especially love her continued enthusiasm for guitar and that she really enjoys teaching. I have found in Kimberly the best of teachers and highly recommend her without reservation."
First off I'm an intermediate player, who has successfully avoided theory since I started playing. Coming to Ahmad for some help to hit the next level, he's cunningly introduced theory into the curriculum, but made it fun to do so with creative exercises I can take home and work on. For the last month I've seen my understanding of playing the guitar improve, and he's also helped with the creative side using the tools I have at my disposal.
I've been through a few teachers in my time, and Ahmad's understanding, patience and vim for guitar really shine through. Would definitely recommend for whatever stage you're at."

It may not always be center stage, but the bass is arguably the most important instrument on the bandstand. The bass guitar serves as the glue that holds all of the other instruments together, and a solid bass line can make all the difference between a hit song and an average one. If you’re interested in learning how to play bass, it won’t be long until you can hold down a steady groove and unlock a world of musical collaboration. It’s easy to get down the basics of bass, but make no …
