Ukulele is an instrument I've come to play a lot and really appreciate in recent years, and I love to teach it! I've got you covered for CLASSIC Ukulele songs as well other familiar non-Uke recordings for a new twist. Chord sequences, scales, strum and pick-patterns.. just like all my lessons we'll cover music's essentials.

About James

*PLEASE NOTE: I don't travel to Bellevue, Mercer Island or anywhere that requires me to drive over I-90 or the 520 bridge. Sorry! 3 miles is my maximum distance of travel, and please take note of the time slot I have open (usually just a few). I've been exploring music since age 13 when I start

James was awesome! I took a series of 10 at home lessons that really boosted my bass playing. He used a combination of learning with music that I could play along to as well as practice chord tones and other more classical learning tools. I would recommend him to anyone that wanted to build their skills.

Thanks James!

James was a delight, and our son was pleased with his first lesson.

Sincerely anticipating more!

For students who have played an instrument prior to our lessons, I try and shape a curriculum entirely based upon the specific goals of the student, and I rarely use text books although I use a lot of exercises and educational material when appropriate.  I feel learning to play and transcribe songs and solos to increase a students self reliance and confidence is my most important job.

Most students come to me looking for structure so I try and provide a clear path to their goals. For students with no prior musical experience I use text books and exercises to strengthen their technique, expose them to musical ideas, and give them a foundation for basic theory.  After that is accomplished I move into a curriculum that is more personal to their specific goals.

About Jared

I have been playing instruments and performing live since I was 11 years old. Initially trained in classical piano I added guitar to my musical palette at the age of 14. In college I spent time continuing my studies in both piano and guitar and received a bachelors of fine arts with a concentration

He pays attention to detail, is super organized with a definite plan and knows how to keep a student's interest. He is balanced and very realistic in his approach. He is talented and meets the student where he is. He is even transcribing a Bollywood song for my son and my son is loving it! He is flexible... We are so happy to have found him.

Ukulele is a newer instrument to me, but I have been teaching and performing for over 8 years now. I have played music since age 5 starting with violin and later guitar, which I studied at Berklee College of Music. Uke became a recent passion as I formed an acoustic duo of cello and ukulele (and singing) called DvOd that has performed all over the NW and released a CD. I provide a core curriculum of basic technique and music knowledge, combined with customizing to the student's interest. From Traditional Hawaiian to Eddie Vedder to Jake Shimabukuro, I can help you learn your favorites.

About Eric

Music lessons for all ages and levels on guitar, bass, violin, cello, ukulele, banjo and voice/singing. Private studio in downtown Redmond. I have been teaching for over 10 years, performing and recording as a singer/songwriter/guitarist for over 25 years. Berklee College of Music alumnus. All styl

Super Knowledgable. Psyched to learn more.

Derek is a very knowledgable instructor, easy to talk to, and I found his teaching technique is very motivating. He set realistic practice goals for the next session, which will require me to do my part, but that's the reason we show up, to learn how to play a musical instrument.
I highly recommend him.

Waldemar is the best guitar teacher, ever!!! I've improved so much since I started taking lessons from him. He's kind and patient, clear when explaining/teaching, and super talented. I love that he's a professional musician and producer, so he definitely knows what he's doing. AND, he's bilingual!!! I've been taking one-on-one lessons in his studio, and some online lessons as well -which work really well, too-, in Spanish!

Waldemar es el mejor maestro de guitarra!!! He mejorado muchísimo desde que comencé a tomar clases con él. Es un maestro amable y paciente, muy claro al explicar, y muy talentoso. My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!

Jerry is a wonderful instructor. I wasn’t sure how online lessons would go but they have been seamless and fun and my son is making progress with the bugle. I would highly recommend this format and this teacher. The convenience and quality of instruction are excellent. We are signing up for more lessons and may move on to another instrument once my son feels confident on the bugle.

"Ryan is a very good teacher. I have been trying to learn how to play for a long time, but his techniques helped me grasp the basics quickly. He provided notes, recordings and homework after every class which helped a lot while practising and getting better at playing the ukelele. He was able to solve my doubts and issues effectively as he would imitate my play and figure out my problem areas and advise accordingly. He's very patient and consistent, it was a great experience learning with him!"

He taught him not only the instrument itself but started teaching him some rhythm and music theory as well. As soon as my son matures a little more and is ready for lessons we will definitely pick Edwin!"
