In its basic conceptual form, Algebra is a form of Mathematics with an equation and variables. An equation is "solved" when the values on either side of the = sign are balanced, and the variables bing an equation to life!
Curriculum will be discussed with the student so as to understand goals and co-create a pathway for learning.
A long term goal of mine is to help students gain new skills and self confidence to inspire future learning!

Book NowCreative Writing is a passionate subject for me. I studied Creative Writing at Dartmouth College, where I obtained my Master's, and published my thesis of a collection of fiction short stories.
Creative Writing doesn't have rules, although there are guidelines. I am an advocate of showing and not telling, creating characters, setting scenes, and using smooth, fluent language to engage readers as we experiment with words and style and complex emotions.
About Niusha
As a teacher, I try to cater each class to my student's individual needs and interests. Being bilingual myself, I am a strong believer that language and culture (and food!) are intertwined, and to learn any language, it is best to immerse oneself as deeply as possible. I started teaching ESL in

Book NowI am currently a senior at Towson University graduating with a Bachelors's degree in Economics and Math. I have taken mathematics all my life and algebra was the foundation for my love for the subject. Being a student myself, I understand the struggle of learning something new and can relate to the difficulties but also understand what it takes to overcome those difficulties and be successful.
About Alex
I am a senior at Towson University. I understand what it feels like being in a classroom and not being able to comprehend the lesson at hand. I have been there before and have overcome those difficulties with a little extra help. I will be here to answer any questions you have and assist in any way

I've been teaching Statistics for 3 years. I strive to show students the beauty behind mathematics and encourage them to enjoy it. I work with students at their own pace with the main focus being on developing the confidence to be able to understand what questions are asking and how to solve problems. I prefer to spend the first two lessons testing a student's confidence, strengths, and weaknesses before I select the teaching materials. I cannot wait to help you reach your math goals!
About Kyle
Note: availability is limited to Fridays and weekends for the upcoming terms. Lessons outside of those times will be few and far between (and may cost more than a weekend time). I am a Ph.D. student in Statistics and earned a Bachelor's in mathematics from St. Norbert College in 2016. I have

Very expressive and vibrant person. Interactive teaching methods were used. Able to articulate well."

I sought Meagan out after my daughter came home with a failing grade in Algebra I. I am very happy with my selection, she is the perfect fit for my daughter. She is very flexible and I appreciate that she doesn't make my daughter feel like her lack of understanding of the subject matter makes her inadequate. I am going to continue hiring Meagan for the duration of the school year, my daughter really likes her and is learning far more than she is from her regular classroom environment."
