Taha did a great job explaining the concepts I needed in my high school physics class. He took away a lot of frustration for me. Thanks!

Taha is amazing. Hands down. My college professor doesn’t teach in a way I find helpful. I’ve tried other tutors before. Taha knows his stuff, knows how to explain it, and is able to pivot our planned lessons on the fly as I need him to. I have learned more in 5 hours with him than I did all semester, and he has helped me have a shot at keeping my 4.0 which was in jeopardy because I was struggling in physics. If I could give him 100 stars, I would. He is that good. If you need someone to help you get through physics, he is the perfect person. Thank you so much, Taha.

I am an MIT tutor specializing in math and science, and I have taught math anywhere between pre-algebra and calculus (including algebra) for 5 years. I have taken AP Calculus BC while in high school, and I have taken Multivariable Calculus and Differential Equations at MIT, and I actively participated in many math competitions through elementary, middle, and high schools.

Before the lessons, I like to talk with parents, students, and/or teachers to fully gauge what they have been struggling with and how to best help them. Then I identify the student's gap in knowledge while helping them complete their homework and give them additional drilling problems as needed to help them fully master the materials and do well on their tests. I always carry around AP Calculus prep books or college calculus practice problems (depending on the students' levels) so that the students can practice these problems as needed. I also provide them with additional resources and practice problems as needed.

About Nayoon

I'm an MIT tutor specializing in math, science, and test prep and many of my students have gone on to study at Ivy Leagues, MIT, and McGill. Many of my students have also gotten 800 on both SAT Math and SAT Math 2, 750+ on SAT Reading and Writing, and 5's on the AP exams even in the midst of pandem

Nayoon took my daughter from a failing grade to an “A”. I am indebted to her. My daughter loves Nayoon because she is interested, kind & cheery. She is ten steps ahead and understands exactly what the teacher wants her to learn. But, more importantly, Nayoon taught her how to think and not just memorize. Nayoon doesn’t try to waste time or spread out a lesson. She cares more about my daughter learning & absorbing & being prepared! My daughter now wants to take the AP exam in chemistry because Nayoon made chemistry interesting & understandable. Thank you so much!!! Hilary Kramer

"I'm happy to say I found Colin for help with my calculus 1 class. I was doing okay from the beginning, but I felt like I was lacking the depth of understanding of some core algebra concepts and wanted to get solid on them before the class got more challenging (integration), as I was striving for an A in the class. Colin was a wizard at honing in on my weak points and he did an excellent job of really breaking things down and honestly, presenting concepts in more tangible ways than did any of my algebra teachers. I used the principles I learned from my sessions with Colin to get me through some challenging exam problems, and I'm proud to say that I ended up with a 97% in the class overall!"

"Colin is a fabulous teacher. He worked with my children as they prepared for their AP Calculus exam a few years back, and we enlisted his tutorage as my son prepared for his Calculus 3 exam this year.
Colin knows his material. He is patient and ensures the student is keeping pace with him as he explains the methodology. He takes the time necessary to ensure the student knows the material and is able to follow the explanations. As anyone who has studied math knows, you can't rush the process. Each step is a crucial foundation for the next.
Thank you Colin!"

I would highly recommend him as a math tutor because he is easy to understand, easy to talk to and makes you feel more knowledgeable."

Brush up on these study tips from Olympia, WA tutor Tali H...   The AP Calculus exam is rumored to be one of the harder AP tests - especially for those of us who math doesn't come easily to. The test takes three hours and 15 minutes, and has 45 multiple-choice questions and six short-answer questions. Both types have a non-calculator part and a calculator part. Even though it sounds daunting, with some determination and productive studying, …
