I have been teaching ESL online for almost a year and I enjoy it so much! I love all of my students. There is no fear in making mistakes! That just means your brain is working. We will learn all the basics and make sure we have a strong foundation and then build upon that. I will cater to you whatever level you relate to. I am excited to get to know you and help you grow!

About Leah
Leah, a teacher, singer/songwriter, musician, entertainer and Berklee College of Music graduate.

She loves teaching and loves her students. Her main joy in teaching is watching her students grasp a new understanding and appreciation for their desired art and growing in their skills and talent. She loves seeing her students overcome obstacles. In her lessons, Leah sets the tone for care and a safe space to truly grow fearlessly. It is important to grow in confidence in your craft. In lessons, she covers setting a foundation, different genres, confidence, warm-up exercises, vocal techniques, ear training, music theory, harmony, performance techniques, audition preparation, range, improvisation, agility, freedom and more. She focusses on a few things at a time and has her students grow into other areas to work.

Musically, she provides
sounds and smooth tones of Jazz and Soul. Her latest EP entitled SonKissed is Jazz influenced music with Neo-Soul vibes and a positive message about love and life. She has been singing around Boston and New York and writing and recording new music. She has great things in store for her in the near future and much music and passion to share with the world.

Originating from Henderson, North Carolina, she grew up singing in school, church and choirs including the Raleigh Girls Choir of Raleigh, NC. Taking singing and piano lessons grew her love for music. She always had a fondness of jazz music starting at a young age, as her father would play jazz music. Studying music has led her to perform in recitals, concerts and festivals such as the Mozart Music Festival with The Capital City Girl’s Choir in Vienna, Austria, to study and perform abroad in Valencia, Spain, to graduate from Berklee College of Music and to continue writing, performing and growing as an artist. Leah also enjoys being involved in and performing in community events as she gives back. It is very important to her to help others as many have helped her.

She gets much of her inspiration from influences such as Jesus Christ, her parents, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Dianne Reeves, Lisa Fischer, Sammy Davis Jr., Sade, Anita O’day, India Arie, Erykah Badu, Adele, Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Mary Mary, Robin Thicke, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Esperanza Spalding, Miles Davis, Al Jarreau, Nancy Wilson, Ledisi, Sounds of Blackness, Take 6, Gretchen Parlato, and Quincy Jones just to name a few.

Leah was so knowledgeable and personable! After my first lesson, I’d say that she did a great job of explaining concepts that I typically struggle with, in simple ways. Her passion for teaching and her skill at singing both show! I’m so happy I found her!!

“Ohh la la la”, that’s the sound when you comfortable reading along. “Ohh la la la”, you’ll be learning English by singing songs. “Ohh la la la la lalalalala”, come and join along and let me show you how it’s done, yeah.

Learning any new language can sometimes be very frustrating, especially when there are so many rules and conducts of speech one must remember to follow.

Within this ESL lesson, we will be taking the bore out of chore. Book a lesson today and get ready to find your groove as we create and remake lyrics to popular melodies all while learning the basic elementals of the English language. These lessons are perfect for beginners!

About Cierra
Greetings Earthlings, class is in session. Ok time for our first POP QUIZ! See your questions below. (There is a right or wrong answer, but only you will know if it’s correct or not.)

Question 1.: Who are you?

Question 2.: Who or what did you want to be prior to any doubt of becoming that was brought to your awareness?

Question 3.: Does it bother you to have fun while learning? (This is not a trick question.)

Well, there you go. So, how did you do? Remember, only you can really answer these specific questions. When it comes to exploring self, which most of my lessons extends from, understanding and being honest with whom, what and where you are is the first step in opening yourself up to learning and evolving.

Learning should be fun an exciting. There’s also a sense of freedom that should come along with the power of obtaining new me
ntal tools for life. Your life.
