If a student brings me music or a monologue that they would like to work on, I will review it and try to incorporate it within our studies.

I have a graduate degree in Molecular Biology (UC Irvine, Irvine, CA), a masters in Physical Chemistry, and a bachelors in science (India).

I later taught for five years at the New York Film Academy in Universal City, CA, where I taught a variety of Critical Studies classes to various levels of students, some in certificate programs and others working towards their M.F.A.
As a former English and Spanish double major, I have always enjoyed teaching at various levels. Most of my other work these days involves the writing and editing of short stories, screenplays and novels.

Unlike most of the teachers, Mr. Paul put a lot of effort and creativity into planning his classes, which made them both stimulating and fun for us.
I also loved the fact that Mr. Paul always respected our opinions, and never made us feel stupid when we didn’t understand something. He was always very encouraging and willing to keep explaining until we got it.

I am a local writer, editor, and writing coach, and I have previously worked as an actor, theater educator, and horse trekking guide in South America. My life has been a mix of extreme outdoor travel and academic pursuits and I've had a lot of adventures along the way. I love teaching and working with students of all ages!

I hold a PhD in Creative Writing & Literature (USC), an MFA in Creative Writing (UC Riverside), and a BS in Computer Science with a Math minor (BYU). As an experienced instructor of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction essay, I look forward to helping new students improve as writers and find success in their efforts to get their work published.
Besides academics, I am super interested in fitness, general wellness and psychology.

I am a graduate of Michigan State university with a degree in jazz studies and math. I've been teaching formally and informally for the past 5 years in one on one settings and with groups and camps.
My approach is to work with the individual based on their specific musical and personal learning needs while also emphasizing the basics (feel, sound, tone, rhythm, technique) and integrating what the student is doing in their current music groups as well as what music they are personally interested in.
