I teach music the way it was taught to me, and I had in my opinion some of the best teachers in the world.

I like to start every student with a unique approach to their individual playing style. I work closely with the student from the first minute of the first lesson, first simply getting to know the student's comfort level with material, playing style, and proficiency level. From there I go into specific topics that need improvement - for some students, this might be basic techniques, and for others may be advanced concepts. I like to walk the line between nurturing and tough love - I think that the best teacher is the experience of stepping outside of your comfort zone, with someone there to point you in the right direction to walk.

I teach violin at beginners to advanced, I have 33 years experience of teaching and performance. I've graduated from National Pedagogical University in Ukraine where I've been classically trained on the best musikal traditionals.

I have been a musician my entire life, and I have taught all ages and levels for thirty years. I emphasize efficiency in practice and learning and will help you manage your practice time for maximum productivity. I have a positive and nurturing approach while maintaining a high standard for development and progress. My students appreciate the way I balance technical and musical portions of lessons and they make quick and easy progress.

We start from the very beginning with the theory and history behind the violin. We then get you familiar with the instrument, and rhythms and musical symbols. You then start to because more familiar with reading and learning notes. Alex Sjobeck has experience playing the fiddle and classical violin. In 2013 and 2014 she taught a class of 4th and 5th-grade violin students in Harlem, New York. Prior to college, in which she focused on studying piano at a conservatory, she played violin in orchestras and studied with a violinist in the Boise Philharmonic.

My students see the joy I bring to my teaching. I get excited seeming my students accomplish challenges that they have worked so hard to meet. Lessons with me are fun and I keep my students engaged with various studies, exercises and pieces.

Matthew, a violin & viola concert musician as well as a composer and arranger, has a driven passion for teaching, owing much of his experience to working with many of the world's premier teachers, and has developed a unique and tailored approach to mentoring with a strong emphasis of positive support and clear understanding the student's goals. With over 15 years of proven and successful experience as a private studio instructor, Matthew has enjoyed teaching students of many ability levels. Matthew has had many career-track students that have continued their pursuits attending prestigious schools as the Cleveland Institute of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, and Indiana University amongst others. Mr. Gordon taught four years of university level instead Arizona State University.
