Interactive methodology, fast and fun. I have experience teaching and working with children as well as with adults. I feel comfortable teaching students in all different levels, from the beginner up to the advanced level. The typical approach that I use is a rather communicative one. I like to encourage students to speak and get engaged in real life situations.
I love learning and teaching languages and although I studied law I really prefer teaching languages (I speak 5 languages) and sewing (another of my favourite hobbies) love travelling and photography.
I will be happy to answer the questions which arise in between your one-on-one lessons. In short, I will do everything I can to increase your rate of language acquisition.
It goes without saying that I love to teach! I have an easy-going personality and a positive attitude. Learning such a beautiful and multifaceted language as Spanish or Romanian will be fun with me. I love travelling, I have hosted many exchange students, so I have developed good communication and creativity skills.
I will encourage your interest and curiosity into the different cultures by using amusing topics during the session, which will automatically imp
rove your experience.
I am able to communicate with students at a very personal level . I am very passionate and enthusiastic to get them to learn. I will also promote study habits.
I have a lot of nice material and is interested in what people have to say and their needs. I am friendly and kind; I try to correct students making sure they don't feel embarrassed. I makes people feel comfortable, and encourages them to participate and learn, -even the shy ones. I enjoy the class as much as you.
I’m already learning a lot. She has me do a lot of talking which is very good practice.

Alexandra was professional and kind. She very patiently helped me through some technical problems with the camera on my laptop. She immediately recognized the problems I was having on my crocheting project and got me on the right track. She’s friendly and put me at ease right away. A very pleasant and informative session.
Romanian is my native language. I excelled in school and college every time when tested, and continue to do so almost three decades after graduating high school. My education at the Academy of Police "Alexandru Ioan Cuza", Faculty of Law, a public entity in Bucharest, Romania, has the Romanian grammar and literature among its core prerequisites for accession to this institution next to history and a foreign language. In the USA I earned a MBA in International Business which propelled my career in the US Coast Guard which relies on my polyglot skills including Romanian for translations of documents and live interpretations during international events. I am also a Certified Interpreter in Romanian with the US Defense Language Institute Monterrey, California.
Before reading about me, I'd like to share up front the honor that my newest student, R., has brought to me by choosing to learn Romanian. Nothing special so far except that he is 100 years old!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: a century old. He is the outmost inspiring person in my life by teaching me that age is just a number and that learning can happen any day if we choose so. R is a medical doctor, a psychologist, a chemist and biologist. Words can't even define how great of a man he is and how grateful I am to learn from him, too. For instance, about a famous language called "esperanto", a language created in the late 19th century.
I'm an enthusiastic learner even after 19 years of formal education (two Masters, one Bachelor) earned on two continents continued by US military education in various forms, and formally tested studen
t who needed to document skills that were not formally captured on paper (like the foreign languages I know).
I love interacting with people and pass on my knowledge from five visited continents, instill love for learning and continuous curiosity for any subject out there. Nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it. Failing once doesn't mean that you'll never win (proof in my athletic years and life ever since); determination, hard work, self-motivation and a good supporting system can bring to reality even the most insignificant dreams that we believe may not come true, and especially those in which we passionately trust.
I believe in breaking down a goal into objectives, assigning tasks to each one of them, and then sticking to achieve them.
I'm a Certified Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security. My hobbies include practicing foreign languages (and proper grammar rules which highly reflect on one's education) by speaking them, learning about cultures and slangs, etymology, watching foreign movies, traveling internationally, taking photos, reading (a lot), carefully planning with room for error and impulsive decisions (to take the boredom out of things), meeting with life long friends, drawing, painting, and spending time outdoors for inspiration and health.
I'm elated at the opportunity of brainstorming with you and giving you tools to be an independent learner.
The Romanian language is beautiful and easy to learn! I will help to improve your pronunciation and grammar knowledge, boost your grades and conversation skills.
I am a Licensed Court Interpreter, native Romanian, and I love sharing my knowledge with students! Proper pronunciation, correct grammar, and rich vocabulary are essential elements to attaining fluency in a foreign language. Multiplication, division, the order of operations, decimals, fractions, measurements and more, will no longer be a challenge! I have considerable experience working as a linguist for the US Army, as a translator, and substitute teacher as well. Learning will be fun and rewarding!
A very good lesson with focus on pronunciation, grammar, and spelling. Very helpful!

I'm biased on this tutor because of a previous opportunity to serve our nation together. Anisoara was the most reliable member of Romanian interpreters when military missions required our role in international encounters. She is patient, articulate, intelligent, and very respected in the USA interpreters community. I highly recommend her to teach you the language and culture of the old Dacia (now Romania).

Whether you would like to learn Romanian at a conversational level, or maybe more advanced, I'll be happy to help you achieve your goal. I was born in Romania and I lived there for 20 years. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
First of all, I have to say that I am a proud mom of a 5 years old girl and a 8 years old boy. I work part-time as a Group Exercise Instructor since I have always enjoyed working out and staying active.
Secondly, I am very excited to be part of your succes in learning a new language since I know and I have seen the positive impact of mastering an another language in my own kids. My current job allowes me to spend the rest of my time with the kids which is amazing and I'm very grateful for. My kids first language is English, but the Romanian and Spanish language is what we speak the rest of the time. The best way to learn a language is by practicing it every day!😉
Last, but not least, I would love to be able to help you learn any of these languages, so please let me know when you want to start!
