Tadej Z.

New Rochelle, NY

About Tadej

I'm a portrait and documentary photographer, graduate of the International Center of Photography in New York City. I've been working on stories for newspapers, magazines and for non-profits for over a decade. My first roll of film though (I started with b&w film), was lame and completely forgettable. Actually, my first few rolls of film were completely forgettable. But with practice, guidance and looking at photographs, my techniques and seeing improved. Family, friends and eventually editors started to appreciate my photographs, and I published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal,
and Conde Nast Traveler, among others.

Camera settings, composition and creating an image that tells a story (and many other aspects of photography), I had to learn it too. So whether you hadn't held a camera before (except for a smartphone...), already know something about photography techniques or are looking to work on a personal project, I'd be happy to work with you. My goal is to help you improve your photography, though, I can't promise your photos will appear in The New York Times... :)

Roberta A.

Sandy Hook, CT

About Roberta

When I was 30 years old, living in Sao Paulo, Brazil, I seized the opportunity to rediscover my artistic roots and took a class to learn painting on ceramics.

A few years later we moved to Newtown CT and I got the opportunity to progress beyond merely painting on ceramic. Besides starting off from scratch with clay, instead of bisque, the scope of work expanded and today encompasses many styles and varying techniques.
I first showcased my work to the public at the 2nd Newtown Arts Festival in 2013. I was encouraged by the response, and shortly after this show was invited to join Connectic
ut Clay Artists an organization of professional clay artists who collaborate creatively and intellectually, and exhibit their art collectively.
Since January 2015 I have been teaching ceramic classes to middle and high school students at a homeschool coop and recently also started to teach at the YMCA in Danbury CT.

RA F.

New York, NY

About RA

I love working with new photographers to learn their cameras and effectively post-process their images. Whether you are a beginner or have more advanced knowledge, I can help you gain both skill and confidence to bring your photography to the next level.

I'm a professional photographer doing both commercial and fine art work in New York City. I recently completed a five city book project working with another photographer where I shot with a circa 1980 film camera. I do a lot of urban/street photography both digitally and on film and have a great deal of studio experience. My background is
in the sciences and fine arts and I love to share my ten plus years of hands-on experience.

I am what is usually called a "power user" when it comes to Photoshop. I've tacked everything from removing writing written on human skin to removing/replacing backgrounds. I work with the program nearly every day along with Adobe Lightroom.

I've been doing photography since the era of film and I've worked with nearly every kind of camera. My background is heavily informed by the fine arts. I minored in drawing as an undergraduate, eventually going on for an MFA in painting.
