I also know that when a student practices, it heightens their enjoyment of music because it is far more fulfilling. I can guarantee that if you work with me as hard as I work with a student, you will feel excellent about your progress and ability! I have experience teaching people on the autism spectrum and those with Down Syndrome.

It was my first time ever having a guitar instructor and I wasn't too sure how it worked, or what to expect from it. Once I met Nanette I instantly got comfortable. She is insanely talented, and an amazing teacher. Also, Nanette is a really chill person to be around and learn from. PPP - Professional, Patient, Precise (Exceptionally Outstanding)

For such a young person Nanette is at the very top of her game and she loves her profession. That love is felt and gives me much confidence in my ability to improve and one day perform a rock song.

She is very precise in explaining each note, how to arch your fingers and move between notes.

Take Lessons is very fortunate to have Nanette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been working with Cathy now for three months and I couldn't be happier! She is the first and last name in vocal coaching for the Santa Clarita Valley, in my opinion - she's cheaper than most of the other teachers out here, but has more experience with performing, touring, and working with vocally disadvantaged individuals (i.e., speech impediments, volume disparities, confidence issues, etc.) than anyone else my friend and I know of. She has helped me come out of my shell and boost my confidence more in the past few months than my own parents could do in my entire life! Working with Cathy, I was finally able to audition for one of the plays local to this area, something I've wanted to do for years, but always talked myself out of. Therefore, I credit Cathy with my success personally, and in the theater community out here.
In short, she is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED; she sends out a list of possible time-slots available for you (or your child) promptly after you contact her and can help expand your knowledge and technique of singing/acting/speaking in just a matter of a few lessons. :)

Dave taught drums to my son for about 2-3 years. He always had a very positive and reassuring style which always made drum lessons a time to look forward to and feel successful about. My son was a beginner and he has mild autism with learning disabilities and fine motor delays. Dave was able to figure out how to work with these issues and help my kid realize his dream of playing drums. Dave also became his buddy and we really miss him since he moved away.

I took drum lessons when I was 15. I decided now, at age 66, to take lessons again. I plan on playing in our church's Praise Team Band.
Davy easily assessed my level of knowledge and started from there. Each lesson started with things that I wanted to learn. He then rounded the lesson out with the things he could see I needed to know. Davy understands people very well. He also has a great talent for music.
