"Experienced Piano teacher of 7 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of classical and popular piano skills. I specialize in rock, spiritual, patriotic and standard music and typically use the Alfred series books for all ages. I teach music theory, ear training, dynamics, technic as well as sight reading. I also have the following tools available to use during lessons: piano, sheet music, keyboard charts and more. Let a caring teacher bring the love of music into your life. Let your talent shine.

My base curriculum includes a wide range of tactics from ear-training, sight-reading, music theory, and learning classical tunes or modern pop songs! Students we'll start with learning the base techniques: posture, hand position, and rhythm. I always incorporate games for beginners to reinforce the fundamentals they're learning. Once the techniques are established, we move on to learning how to read music and learning different pieces of repertoire.
I work with each student to find out how they learn and what their interests are to develop the best plan for them.
I love teaching and spreading the joy of music, but it's all about the needs and goals of my students! I listen to them to understand how they learn best and what type of lesson will capture their interest. I graduated from Longwood University (Go Lancers!) with a Bachelor's of Music in Performan

It is traditionally made from clay or ceramic, but other materials are also use such as plastic, wood, glass, metal, or bone. The ocarina belongs to a very old family of instruments, believed to date back over 12,000 years. Ocarina-type instruments have been of particular importance in Chinese and Mesoamerican cultures. We will begin with learning finger placement, breathing, notes, reading, rhythms, and learn to play songs and even solo! A lot of fun!
Hi! My name is Karen D. I’ve had the pleasure of performing, singing, writing, and recording since I was seven years old. Besides being an Honor Graduate of Berklee School of Music, I have been a lifelong student of the international world-renowned instructors Dante Pavone and Charlie Banacos.
She didn't have one, so she could never demonstrate anything I asked about. She didn't know the key layout. She didn't know the conventions for numbering fingers. She didn't know the basic home key scale pattern.
I waited until I'd finished four classes with my new teacher before writing this so I'd have a good basis for comparison. He is immensely better at teaching this than she was. It further convinced me that she never should have represented herself as competent to teach this particular instrument.

Music almost always involves several skills. Below are some of the complementary skills that I can help you with.
In my Semper Method, we always address several of them at every session. For example, we record, sing and play all the time. To sing you should be able to pick out intervals at the piano, or better yet, accompany yourself and everyone needs some music theory. So it really is all ...

In the age of reality television, talent isn’t always a prerequisite to stardom, but some of today’s celebrities are legitimately multi-talented -- and some of them are even drummers. Here are 10 celebrities who play drums. 1. Playing the violin should be fun - not a pain! Some arm fatigue is normal when you're first starting out, but anything more than that may be a sign of poor posture, technique or instrument placement. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you practice and play... 1. Relax. Many beginner players tense up their shoulders, arms or wrist without even realizing it, which can cause a lot of problems. Just relax! Focus on your breathing, but also don't lose your posture. 2. Check your techni …
