Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

I started playing in orchestra when I was 9, I have been teaching orchestra in the public school system since 2016, and I have been teaching private lessons for over 8 years now! I am primarily a viola player, but these days, as a teacher, I teach more violin players than anything else! I love string instruments so much, and I love getting to share the experience of making music with string instruments with others.

I have been teaching violin for 15 years. I specialize in beginning to intermediate students and all ages are welcome. I have always said that one is never too old to learn music. Everyone can experience the joy that music brings. In lessons with me you will develop a foundation in note reading, music theory, technique and much more. In no time at all you will be able to play songs and read music as if it was a book. So excited to get started on this music journey with you.

I have been teaching private piano, violin, guitar, and ukulele lessons for ten years. I won competitions, hundreds of dollars, and a scholarship through the Desert Valley Music Teacher Association (DVMTA). I have written and self-published two piano books with more in the works. I have worked on a Music Theory degree at MCC and plan to transfer to ASU to finish my bachelor's. I help students find the fun in music again with many involved music games and incentive programs. I instill a love and confidence in students of composing their own music from a young age.

I believe in developing students’ full potential step by step, as a mentor, to inspire them to foresee a higher vision. To me, every student is an expert learner without limitations. Tailored to each student’s learning progress and needs, my lessons include practice tasks based on pedagogical principles from both the traditional approach and the Suzuki method. My top priorities in teaching include good posture and confidence to perform. I emphasize the importance of aural development by listening to recordings carefully to recognize fundamentals, such as tunes and rhythms, as well as more detailed aspects, such as articulations and tone quality. I also focus on performance practices and interpretations of each musical composition. Overall, I see every lesson as a lesson in life, equipping my students to face challenges with practicable strategies for understanding personal skills, such as patience, determination, consistency, focus, self-motivation, memory, logic, self-awareness with ...

Students can expect a relaxed, fun, and encouraging atmosphere for learning. The violin can be an intimidating instrument- you will make a lot of unpleasant sounds before you start sounding great- and that's okay! I'll be there to guide you and help you reach your goals.

If you're already an experience player, you can expect me "workshopping" your technique. We will analyze your form, practice patterns, and playing style, to ensure that you are growing and improving from the moment we begin. I will push you to become the most expressive player that you can become, but at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
