I have a long track record of teaching in the realm of acoustic music. Beginning in 2010 (while living in Rhode Island) I decided to share my knowledge of stringed instruments as a traveling music teacher. Through the years of performing in various bluegrass outfits, I have always had students eager to learn how to begin or advance their skills in stringed instruments through one on one lessons, coaching, and jamming with others. During the 2015-2016 school year I held the position of Music Therapist In Residence at the CITE School in Providence, RI working with developmentally challenged and disabled students, which allowed me greater insight into different coaching and music education techniques. I am currently endorsed by Ear Trumpet Labs of Portland, OR and The Deering Banjo Company.
If you're looking to start fresh, brush up, or get some coaching/advice on advanced improvisation techniques on the banjo, we can get it done together! If you're ready to start down the road and ...

As a colleague of Chris' I can heartily recommend his teaching to any trombonists wishing to hone their skills as musicians. Chris focuses on the individual needs of each student, working to tailor his lessons to meet their specific needs and face their unique challenges. His attention to detail and patience helps each student build a strong foundation in musicality and fantastic brass playing. I recommend him highly as both a superb educator and performer!
My son is 12 years old, has been playing Trumpet and Flugelhorn for about 5 years, and he needed a private instruction to take his music to the next level. He has made great progress under Chris' guidance, and his easy going manner has made our son feel very comfortable with the lesson environment. He is very talented, and would highly recommend Chris for anyone looking to further their capabilities.

The #1 mistake most students make when looking for a voice teacher is that they learn and train a style of singing that doesn't match the style of singing that THEY want to do! Why take classical lessons when you want to learn to sing pop/rock songs on the radio, rock out at karaoke, or belt out mainstream tunes? Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to notice your voice strengthen and have more resonance. As time goes on you'll be able to bridge between the registers (so your voice is smooth and resonant at the places where it might crack now). I specialize in making the head voice sound chesty or belty, and I typically use Robert Lunte's TVS training system. I love working with adult students of all experience levels, especially those who want to discover their own voice and I can't wait to meet you!
Welcome! It's never too late... I have always loved singing...in fact, I dreamed of being a singer my entire life...but never pursued it...until I went through a divorce a few years ago. I co-parent with my former husband...and I was heartbroken during the times when I didn't have my two

My dad had a good voice, but with Randy at the piano (and adding an orchestra to the mix!!) my dad could easily have given Frank Sinatra a run for his money!!
Randy was gracious, considerate and attentive to Lou’s every thought and his every tone.
Lou is almost 102 now, and is quickly changing. I keep the record in my car and play it often, remembering and cherishing and tearing up for the good times it brings to mind."
If you're beginning to learn how to play guitar, chances are you'll want to get started by learning a handful of chords. Learning how to read guitar chords is a great way to get familiar with guitar notation and get used to your instrument. A chord is a group of notes that makes a harmony when played all together. On guitar, you can strum chords to accompany a melody that you or someone else are singing, or more advanced players might incorporate chords with single notes for a more complex so …
