Joi taught my 7 year old twins beginning piano for a year. Although my twins are identical, she delivered individual instruction that always challenged them at their learning frontier. They both were provided an amazing level of music foundation from rhythm to sight reading and more. Unfortunately, she moved and we moved but if she were close to us, she would still be teaching our girls. We loved the in-home instruction option. She is truly a gem. Very highly recommend.

Joi is great with kids. My 8-year-old discovered how much fun piano can be!

I strive above all else to inspire my students. Work ceases to be a burden when I am learning something that inspires me; it instead becomes a joy to engage in the process. Teachers are channels of inspiration between what is being learned and the person who is learning it. In my own teaching, I aim to inspire the same joy in my students that I discovered when I first began studying percussion.

About Willis

I studied drum set at Berklee College of Music, and graduated in 2018 with a double-major in Drum Set Performance and Music Business. My passion for music and drumming began over 16 years ago and I have been teaching professionally for the last decade. I enjoy sharing the knowledge and love I have

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from UTA with a bachelors degree in Music-Media. In my degree, I excelled particularly in music theory and did several honors projects involving specific theories and composition styles. Music theory is also a fundamental understanding that I use on a daily basis for my work in composing, arranging, playing, leading, etc.

"Jean is a wonderful teacher. She's dedicated and patient with her students. With a great music background, Jean has given our kids (two of her students) great music & piano techniques/methodology and a way to approach music that is by far superior to that of any of the previous piano teachers. She is agile in her approach to teaching piano with the belief that not one teaching method is applicable to all kids.
