I've been teaching Italian since 2003 and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of its culture, travel abroad, and make new friends. Within the first few lessons, you'll understand why Italian is one of the most beautiful languages of the world, and as time goes on you’ll love it forever. I lived in Italy for almost a year and I would like to share my experience about it with you. I love working with students of all ages and levels and I can't wait to meet you! Ti aspetto. A presto)

My initial instruction follows the John Sprague school method, which focuses on precise articulation of ornamentation, leading into pipe band music.
Once a grounding in pipe band technique has been achieved, I can continue to work with students along the pipe band path through the intermediate level, or branch off into folk/kitchen piping, informed my extensive experience as a fiddler.
I am also willing to teach small pipe and border pipe students.
I am a traditional Scottish musician specializing in 18th century music. I have studied Highland bag piping since 2001 and Scottish Fiddling since 2002 (with a background in classical violin). I teach both Scottish Fiddle and Highland Bagpipes, as well as Scottish Small pipes and Border pipes. I
After the pandemic began we started with remote lessons and I find them just as useful- if more convenient. I highly recommend Peter as an instructor.

David enjoys teaching students from all different backgrounds and levels of proficiency. Whether you are just starting out or a virtuoso shredder in the making, he is happy to teach you! Over all, he is fairly laid back, as long as you practice. He usually combines work with reading off of the treble clef (what he likens to "eating your vegetables." You may not want to do it, but it will make you a healthier musician!) with learning more popular songs (or songs the student says they would like to learn) through tablature and chord charts, depending on the style of the song.
David is also very pro music theory. He usually incorporates music theory into the curriculum in conjunction with the material already being discussed. He is also very knowledgeable about composition/songwriting, and if the student is interested in learning more about this area, he is happy to share what he knows!
David is a successful singer/songwriter/guitarist out of Fairfax, VA. He has a bachelor's degree in Music with a concentration in composition from Salisbury University, where he also studied jazz and classical guitar . In the 25 years he has been performing (20 of those professionally) and playing

Are you taking lessons in a music store from someone whose primary instrument isn’t the flute? Are you worried you might have fallen behind after a year of online instruction? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, get ready to change what you think you know about lessons, and start taking lessons with me today!
I have been lucky enough to have wonderful teachers who helped me learn and grow...but I've also had teachers who belittled and laughed at me when I answered a question wrong or played a passage incorrectly. That isn't healthy, and it surely isn't fair to anyone learning a new skill or subject. This is why I lead with kindness, openness, and encouragement, thus inspiring my students to want to work for more, and to be better - whether that is with music or with any other aspect of life.
I am so happy you are here and am really ...
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Flute Performance from Central Michigan University in 2010 and my Master's Degree in Flute Performance from the University of Iowa in 2013 I have studied with numerous teachers, performers, and clinicians all of whom are amazing musicians...but I am more than just my

I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of piano and guitar skills. I typically use Alfred's Basic books: lesson, technic, and theory books. I also provide students with homework sheet that explains what we have been focusing on, what they have achieved, and what is the expectation for next lesson.

Professional actors often can’t help but feel a little powerless when it comes to the process of auditioning and booking jobs. Sure, from the outside people think that actors have some say in creative aspects, but your input and personal preferences are really quite insignificant in the process (well, not until you're on a Brangelina level at least). So while you're on your way to superstardom, it's smart to leverage the opportunities at hand. The first area you have control of as an actor is …
