About Anna
Professional, active musician will share the joy of playing music with the students. You can count on having fun, effective lessons, and real results fast!

I was born in Cracow, Poland. From an early age I had a deep interest in all types of music. I was encouraged by my parents and quickly developed a talent. I began my musical education at the age of seven studying piano. I studied at The Frederic Chopin Academy of music in Warsaw, Poland and then at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University where I received a Bachelor of Music Degree in French Horn performance. Later I received a Master of Music in French Horn Performance and post Master Certificate, both from the DePaul University. I am an active freelancing musician in the Chicago area. (Chamber Opera of Chicago, Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, Oak Park and Riv
er forest Orchestra, Skokie Symphony, Lira Ensemble, Highland Park).
I have been teaching piano, music theory and French horn in the Chicago area for five years. I enjoy working with both children and adults.
To broaden my knowledge about teaching I completed courses: Studio Teaching as a Career, Teaching Excellence, and Brass concepts at DePaul University.

*** Lesson Details ***
Students will learn to play piano or horn in a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally they will learn elements of music theory so they can quickly start to play on their own. This will broaden their understanding of music and they will be able play pieces they like. I have method books and studies for any level of playing, but students are welcome to bring their own. I think anyone can learn to play and I can help to achieve this dream. I recommend the book by Daniel Coyle: The Talent Code. Greatness Isn't Born. It's Grown. Here's How.

*** Studio Equipment ***
DePaul University - regular pianos available rooms reserved
At Home Studio- Casio keyboard in living room, french horn,
seating for parents.
In case of horn students they would have to have their own mouthpiece and later on their own instrument. I have breathing equipment to help with playing as well.

*** Travel Equipment ***
My method of transportation would be CTA and walking :)

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in fun and effective teaching. I teach piano, french horn, music theory, ear training. Music is fun and this is how I teach.

I loved Ms. Anna's enthusiasm and constructive criticism. I have been playing horn for 7 years, and this was my first lesson. I have a ways to go, but I loved how she was willing to help me and give me tips in ways that you wouldn't get in your typical band class. I am definitely looking forward to our lessons!! 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for lessons, whether it is your first or your 100th

Anna is a great teacher. We started off with 10 lessons to give our 11 year old son a head start as he was keen to switch from Trombone to French Horn. With Anna's help, he made it! French Horn is a difficult instrument to play compared to other brass woodwind instruments, and finding Anna to help our son has been really beneficial. We highly recommend Anna and we will be signing up for more lessons. In addition, to those who are considering Online lessons, they have been great. We have been using a good webcam (Logitech from Amazon) together with Skype and it has worked out. Thank you!

About reut
Hello there!

I am a trombonist and teacher, with many years of experience teaching Hebrew as well as music.

As a music teacher I have worked with children starting from private lessons to young children beginning to learn, up to master classes in universities worldwide. I love teaching, and I feel confident teaching trombone and trumpet up to advanced level. For piano, I would prefer to stay with beginners and young ones only :) - but I promise you they will have a wonderful experience (and yes, I do have 8 years of piano studies under my belt).

As a Hebrew teacher, I teach both Hebrew reading and pronunciation and modern conversational Hebrew. My professional experience includes teaching at Golda Och Academy in West Orange, B'nai Abraham in Livingston, Central Synagogue in Manhattan and more, as well as many private lessons. In
the schools I provided classroom instruction, private and group tutoring and adult education as well as private instruction for the faculty.

About Lydie
My name is Lydie. I am an enthusiastic and devoted French teacher with excellent communication skills demonstrated by 20 years of teaching experience.

I have been very successful at teaching hundreds of students of various ages and levels of proficiency. Currently, I am giving private and online lessons to 18 students on weekly basis. Many of my students have been with me for about a year or longer. They are extremely satisfied because they are learning fast while having fun at the same time, and they are getting top-notch tutoring for a very reasonable fee.

I can help you with all aspects of French including grammar, conversation, vocabulary and overall fluency. I will work with you to evaluate your needs. I will adapt my methods to suit your learning style.

I am using the Communicative language teaching method. My stu
dents learn and practice French through the interaction with one another and with me. My goal is to enable my students to communicate effectively and appropriately in the various situations they would likely find themselves in. My students learn basic skills such as describing, enquiring, informing, explaining, inviting, suggesting, complaining and notions such as the expression of time, quantity, and location.

I was born and raised in Normandie, a north western region of France. I graduated from University de Caen Normandie in Adult Vocational Training. I spent 14 years teaching French to foreign students, and 6 years as an educator at the French school for children with disabilities and violent disorders. Currently, I am working as a teacher at a French immersion school in Austin, Texas.

I love my French culture, arts and literature. I enjoy reading classical novels especially by Zola, Balzac and Maupassant. I am passionate about sharing the very best of my culture with other people. That is why I am such a passionate French language teacher. My work and life experiences have thought me not only to be an effective teacher, but also to be compassionate and caring individual who can see potentials in every one of my students.

Your success is my success.

About Macs
I am a professor in French with a PhD from Princeton University and a bachelors from the College of William and Mary. I've taught all levels of French at Princeton over the past six years. As a researcher I'm an expert on Paris, street art, and parkour. I can tell you anything you want to know about French architecture. While I don't actually do graffiti or parkour, I do participate in a lot of theater and have acted in and directed plays in French and English. I've traveled all over the world to study French theater, even to Tokyo, and I have come to the conclusion that everyone would benefit from watching theater in languages they don't understand.

Macs is a marvelously effective teacher. I took French language classes under him in Paris and Avignon as a part of a larger program in France, and at the time, I had absolutely no experience with the language. Macs accomplished the impossible task of making proficient French speakers of me and a few other beginners as quickly as possible, so that we could buy food, understand daily French theater performances, and keep up with class discussions and lectures (the main parts of the program). Lessons with Macs were efficient, productive, and enjoyable. I still to this day have a better grasp on the language than friends who have spent much longer in French classes, all thanks to Macs.

Macs was the best language teacher I've ever had. Not only does he epitomize professionalism, but he finds a way to connect with each of his students on a personal level and get the best out of them. I've watched Macs teach students of all levels, and all of us found him engaging, energetic, and deeply knowledgable. Macs' vast repertoire of pedagogic techniques, games, and other ways to invigorate his lesson plans made sure that every lesson was new, fun, and interesting, while managing to actually articulate important information as well. I could go on and on... In a group or one-on-one setting, I can't recommend Macs enough.

I cannot recommend Macs highly enough! I was lacking so much confidence before I started lessons with him, and he has helped me grow so much. I now feel confident in all areas of French, especially speaking, and he has managed to give me a strong grasp of grammar along the way! I never felt like I had to work hard, everything was so natural and he put me so much at ease that it felt like just a normal conversation with a friend, but I learnt so much grammar along the way! His explanations are always super clear and he really knows his stuff, but it never feels boring. He has loads of exciting and different ways of teaching, from theatre exercises to watching YouTube clips, but also manages to make sure you reach your goals and learn everything on your syllabus. Really really friendly and helpful teacher and such a kind guy, I would absolutely recommend Macs!!
