I love teaching and I love singing! I'm a listener, and love bringing a fun and creative tone to my lessons while teaching the highest level of healthy technique and style. My students are usually focused on a goal: singing for fun or meditative purposes, going for auditions or performances, and r
The classes are structured around my own interests (specific songs, breath control, body technique, etc.), and she’s always ready to answer questions. I don’t have any formal background in musical theory, but I’ve been able to still learn so much from her. I should also mention these classes have been a god-send for my public speaking (I don’t lose my voice anymore and can project easily now).
Rachel is easygoing and has been flexible with me and my schedule changes (you just have to give her some notice). I would definitely recommend her to anyone just starting out like I did—she’s experienced, knowledgeable and professional. :)

I have been playing violin since I was 4 years old and am currently pursuing a violin performance degree at Roosevelt University, studying with the world renowned teacher, Almita Vamos (her students include well known professional violinists such as Rachel Barton Pine, Jennifer Koh, and Benjamin Beilman.) I have lots of experience in many areas of violin performance including orchestra, chamber music, and solo performances. I have received numerous awards in various competitions, both nationally and internationally. These are listed below. I began teaching at a music school near my home in Chicago last summer and quickly fell in love with it. I love seeing students improve and can guarantee that I'll do everything I can to help you achieve your goals in violin.
Nicholas B., 19 years old, studies violin at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts under the teaching of Almita Vamos. He was selected his freshman year as CCPA’s 2016-17 Gloria Miner Music Scholarship recipient. Nicholas made his solo orchestral debut

I started taking guitar lessons at the age of 14, and was hooked ever since. I have learned to play the guitar, bass, and piano in the past 14 years. Currently looking to learn more instruments because, I just love music in general! Music wise, I currently play in a band called Lonewold. In variou

My teaching strategy is to introduce my students to the basic, building blocks of guitar playing so that they can form into whatever kind of guitarist they wish to become. It's sort of like creative writing—once you learn the basics of grammar, you can then break the rules and change the way you write. This is how I learned when I was 14, and subsequently, have been able to delve into many different ways to play guitar from forming punk rock power chords to gypsy jazz strumming patterns. The guitar is a language of its own, and I hope to aid in your fluency.
I have been studying music for almost all my life. It started when I was 6 years old when I sang for my family during the holidays. I never stopped singing since then and decided I wanted to play guitar to accompany myself when I was 14 years old. Music is a huge part of what makes me, me. It has l

Probably seems a bit far-fetched, but I am a highly studied rapper who runs my own hip-hop collective.
I write rhymes, produce beats, and bring my conservatory style academic learning to hip-hop. If you want to learn the culture, the rhyme schemes, the science to making hip-hop music if you will, I'm your guy.
It won't be some abstract "na man that don't feel right" type of vague, get you no where lesson. It will be very concrete, defined lessons, to give you the freedom to write dope rhymes and say them in a variety of different styles/feels/and grooves.
Hello there! I'm 25 and a graduate of the Eastman School of Music with a degree in Jazz Guitar performance. I currently work full-time as a freelance musician, I play in wedding/corporate bands, jazz groups, hip-hop bands, funk bands, pop bands, original music projects, and I also run a hip-hop/j
