Bass Performance from Berklee College of Music
I can teach both classical, and contemporary harmony. I have studied contemporary harmony extensively. We will mainly focus on analysis of jazz and other contemporary music, and use the techniques learned in this analysis to compose original music.
In classical harmony we will analyze all forms of classical music, and practice composting within these guidelines.

Please read slowly and carefully the following unsolicited review: By Julie on 10/4/2019 When I came to Bill I had hopes and dreams of having the ability to read and play any kind of piano music. As a child, I struggled with reading music during 3 years of lessons with a strict classical teacher

Ryan is an incredible teacher! He has an undeniable passion for what he does, patience with his students, and is an excellent communicator on all levels. He's fun to be around, but still handles himself with total professionalism. Ryan's students have always enjoyed his classes and he really takes great pride in what he does."

I took lessons for 7 years with Keith and I have never had a better teacher since, throughout high school and college. Keith always knew how to play any written rhythm, or sound out any obscure beat he heard, and he made them sound even better. I recommend him from beginners to very advanced because he will make lessons all the more fun (if that's possible) and always does so with a friendly atmosphere that will make going to lessons a highlight of the week."

My 1st lesson with Jason was very relaxed & professional. I learned more in 45 minutes than the last 5 months on my own in regards to reading music, rhythm, timing and playing the notes on the staff. He is very patient and knowledgeable. His diversity in music provides an understanding of where you are at and where you want to go with music. I look forward to my next lesson with Jason.

I live in Austin, Texas, the “live music capital of the world,” so I have worked with loads of vocalists who sing in touring rock bands. Some of these students only have one section of a song in which they scream -- others scream for an entire set -- so I work with them to not hurt their vocal cords. …
