"We are happy to have found Kai on TakeLessons. Kai works with our high school junior on her portfoilio and submissions for art competitions. The weekly on
line lessons involve setting goals, conceptualizing, live demonstrations and live coaching. We were initially worried about the effectiveness of online lessons but it has worked out perfectly so far in the second month of lessons. Our daughter has already shown improvement in her technique, and an enthusiasm for the lessons and for the pieces she’s working on with Kai."

"Brit is a wonderful teacher for my 10-year-old daughter. She follows my daughter's lead in terms of interest, letting her create without too many boundari
es, but also teaching her definite technique to achieve her vision, such as mixing colors and some different ways to apply paint to canvas. In addition, she is teaching her practical skills like prepping a canvas and caring for brushes. They do the work in a grad school studio, which leads to a lot of conversing on other people's work. This serves to inspire my daughter and also gives Brit ideas for her own work! Brit clearly enjoys working with kids and seeing their wheels turn. On top of that, she is calm and patient. I'd enthusiastically recommend her to any parents looking for an art teacher for their kids."
