I am a very laid back person however I'll make sure you get things done! It doesn't matter what you'd like to do with your music I can help you get there and reach your goals! I use two different curricula for piano: Alfred Piano Book Series and Faber Piano Book Series. Also to help motivate I let kids bring in a song or two they would like to play maybe from a movie or a pop song (it also depends on their level). For voice I usually let you bring in books you already have or if you don't have any I'll choose some based on what you'd like to learn in voice whether it be classical, broadway, jazz etc.

*** Studio Equipment ***
In home piano.

*** Specialties ***
I can start piano or voice at a very young age. Students will learn music theory with piano, vocal technique and performance with voice, and how to really be convincing while acting.

Lisa is very outgoing and entertaining. She is encouraging Ali to be braver/less timid when singing and acting...this is exactly what Ali needs. I appreciate Lisa's positive attitude. I would like to split each session into 30 minutes acting and 30 minutes singing. I think both disciplines could reinforce the other. If that seems to short maybe we can move to 1.5 hours.

About Laura
I teach voice, piano and guitar. My Music Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University is in Vocal Performance. I love what I do. I teach children through adults. I have lots of experience in worship
leading for church if that is of interest.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am easy-going, but I expect you to practice. I am thorough in my approach. For piano lessons, I utilize the Alfred method. I emphasize note reading and theory in each genre, whether taking guitar, voice or piano. I am currently using Hal Leonard's Guitar Method books for guitar and a few different things for vocal curriculum. All lessons can be supplemented with what you are currently interested in or working towards. I enjoy helping prepare young people for their performances in theatre arts. Lessons can be combined, for example; if you are interested in both voice and
guitar, you can take a longer weekly lesson and have both subjects covered! Weekly assignments are given and checked to see if done before proceeding to the next step! I do not recommend students come every other week. I recommend one lesson per week.

*** Travel Equipment ***
guitar and books. Student provides their guitar during lesson and for piano, must have a piano or keyboard at home for practice.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in helping young worship leaders hone their gifts. I enjoy preparing people for their musical theatre performances.

My son is having a wonderful experience taking lessons online with Laura. She has an exceptional knowledge of music and is able to share this knowledge in a way that is easily understood. I value her positive feedback, timeliness, and consistency. She takes interest in the student and works to draw out their passion for playing the instrument. As a parent, I would highly recommend hiring Laura.

*Se habla Español! Mándeme un mensaje si tiene preguntas :) *

Hello there, curious musician to be!

Over the past few years I've developed the most beautiful relationships with my students, and their families. I've helped complete beginners gain enough skills, and confidence to perform in recitals in front of over 50 guests! If you're interested in performing, I host 2 recitals a year, and they're a huge hit!

Many of my students have auditioned, and been accepted into theater companies, and orchestras. Whether you are just starting out, or are looking to improve on your skills, this is the studio for you.

I started playing violin when I was 10 and have performed with several Honors Orchestras, mariachis, as well as professional groups. My Junior and Senior year of high school I was honored to be Concertmaster.

I began
my classical vocal training at San Diego State University in Spring of 2012. I was trained as a Soprano and an Alto because of my coachability, and musicianship. Since then I have worked with several talented and dynamic directors throughout my training experience. I have attended the annual San Diego Summer Choral Festival, as well as the Conducting Workshop, which consisted of an intensive choral training weekend followed by performances. I am also part of a professional choir in San Diego called Pro Arte Voices; we recently recorded our second CD on Spring '17. Lastly, I am a strong advocate for the arts in our community and am very proud to be a teacher. Most recently, I have started developing a choir program for the youth at a local church. In the near future I have plans of developing a music program for underprivileged youth, which would incorporate choir, and orchestra. I continue to work on myself so that I can always give my best to my students, and teach them something new. I look forward to making music with you, or your little one soon :)

About Zachariah
My name is Zachariah (Zach) McCracken from Bristol, TN. I am a professional banjo/guitar player with the band Nu Blu and a graduate of ETSU’’s Bluegrass Program. I have worked with many professional artists and taught over 200 students so far. Regardless of genre, my guitar instruction techniques vary depending on individual students and their overall outlook of music. As an instructor, I must adapt and teach according to these different musical understandings. Over the years, I have developed certain methods to establish the most effective ways to organize sessions with different students. Because of this, along with my own experience, I am able to help musicians succeed in whatever musical goals they have set for themselves.

About Danielle
I have been teaching private piano and vocal lessons for 14 years. I have been teaching students in the public schools for the past 6 years. I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelors of Music, specifically voice and from Central Michigan University with a Masters degree in Educational Technology.

Voice students can expect to learn proper vocal and breathing technique, as well as exercise specifically catered to his or her vocal needs. We will focus on whatever music style the student desires. I have worked with students who prefer classical, musical theatre, and popular style music. I work on performance and audition prep as well as self composition. The student is the driver of the lesson, I am merely providing the tools and expertise.

Piano students will learn in a style that is completely customized to their les
son goal. I do not teach from a book song by song; each student has their own learning style and goal for what they desire from lessons. All students will learn music fundamentals and proper piano pedagogy while focusing on the music they wish to learn. I teach classical, popular, and piano accompaniment.

As an experienced music teach both individually and in a classroom setting, I have learned how to tailor each lesson to fit the needs of the individual student. I have a plethora of experience working with all age levels and experience levels. I have taught students from grade school through graduation. Teaching is a very rewarding experience and I enjoy watching students achieve their goals and discover they are capable of much more than they imagined.
