Senobia was knowledgeable and I appreciated her patience with my daughter as this was her first EVER vocal lesson. While my daughter was nervous, Senobia’s professional demeanor allowed my daughter to feel confident. She can’t wait for lesson 2.

I teach classical broadway as late as Andrew Lloyd Webber, focusing on the ballad aspects and legit singing.

Technique will be appropriate for this style while not compromising on beauty and finding a much broader range on expression beyond standard belting.

I have been singing opera for 7 years now, and Christine had the most thorough teaching process by far! I found my real voice underneath all the conformity I had been taught through choir and am now moving through singing more powerful and with my "real voice." She is open to workshopping repertoire that you are interested in, and suggests things that will help you grow your voice while not pushing an agenda, so you feel as though you have lots of artistic freedom.
Also just a super warm and authentic person. Overall a great experience!

Christine is extremely talented and provided me with positive yet technical feedback each practice.

Christine is a Godsend! Prior to working with her, I studied classical voice and opera with several instructors. Christine is by far the best teacher and wish I had met her sooner!

As an accomplished singer herself, she is able to identify challenging areas and help improve technique. I’m now attempting pieces with confidence that I never would have attempted previously. And, I find the sessions very relaxing and enjoyable. She inspired me to push myself further and feel like I’m getting great results! Well worth the investment.

I've been singing as long as I've been going to church.
My beginnings in the Children's, Men, Gospel, and Senior-Adult

Choirs. D.C. Youth Chorale was an amazing experience for learning the art of harmony, ear training was a natural part of the study.
We were taught to read music as well as leaning everything by rot. A term used in church meaning learning by memory to the heart. (without the music sheets)

About Raycurt

Raycurt J. aka "Fiddla", Violin-Viola-Voice-Piano-Rhythm-Dance Multi-talent native of Washington, D.C. began playing music at the age of seven on the piano. Singing in local church choirs with family members and participating with the D.C. Youth Chorale. Began instruction on the Viola in the D.C

This was a really unfortunate and wasted experience. Raycurt was wildly unprepared to teach. He brought a broken metronome and almost no sheet music/lesson plan. I had spoken both to the sales rep and Raycurt himself prior to the lesson and he was still fully unprepared.

I also explained my level of experience and was assured Raycurt was qualified to teach at the level I needed, but he came off as less knowledgable than me, which was particularly disappointing.

Worst of all, after multiple hours of speaking on the phone, I couldn't get my money back for this lesson.

I'd strongly recommend not using takelessons at all, they've put a horrible taste in my mouth for their entire service.

I teach students how to belt in a healthy way, and also work on "the mix" used to successfully belt throughout your range, in order to avoid the break between "chest" and "head" voice. I have a lot of experience singing and teaching Musical Theater, I was a member of Studio East in Bellevue, Wa, as well as part of the Musical Theater department at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I have played Rapunzel in Into the Woods, Beth in Little Women, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, and Various characters in the musical Quilters.

Over time my goal is to work toward auditioning for local theaters in the Seattle area, building repertoire as well as the working on the "audition package". If you are a student in school, I will also prepare and encourage auditions for the school musicals, and plays.

Jordan is very skilled in Opera, Voice, and Teaching. She at once puts you at ease and quickly empowers you with knowledge and new skills. Although it may feel like baby-steps, you can hear and feel changes in your voice almost immediately . Studying Opera Voice is a long road of very hard work, so much to remember. There is a reason 4 year degrees are offered in it. But it is well worth it for those who have the stamina.

Jordan is very experienced and knowledgeable, I watched as she worked with me. She has an amazing ear. she hears nuances of differences in the slightest tone difference and can tell just what to do to help you sound wonderful. Looking forward to going back.
Thanks Jordan

I have experience as a Choir, Opera, and Pop singer. I have participated in and competed in several choral competitions, including SWACDA, ACDA, and Texas All-State. I was an Opera singer for 4 years as well and participated in many singing competitions. I performed at the Kennedy Center with the Washington National Opera in 2017 as well. I have recently started pursuing Pop music and have been singing and songwriting for 2 years now. I have received cumulatively 6 years of vocal training: 4 in Opera and 2 in Pop. I love to sing and would love to share what my amazing teachers have taught me over the years with you.

About McKenna

I am a 20 year old business student and musician for life. My lessons are 100% about the love of music. I have played piano for 12 years and have been trained as a vocalist for 6 years. I have worked with kids since I was 11, starting as a babysitter then moving to being a Chess tutor and independ

McKenna has a great style where she continually challenges me to push my thinking but also keeps the lesson fun and shares the way she would think about a given situation. This was my third or fourth lesson with her, she clearly comes in with a game plan to make me incrementally better each week, and always concludes the lesson with some things for me to think about for next time or when I'm playing with my friends. She clearly has a brillant chess mind but more importantly for me is a great teacher.

McKenna was patient with my 6-year-old.

Rosdeli will help you open your throat chakra like a flower, in the way it is meant to blossom. Being around her as my teacher in this setting is more than comforting, it is soothing, it feels natural.

Her methods make SENSE. The student receives immediate feedback from their own vocal channel. With her embodied notions of what she can hear and feel, she intuitively guides you into the direction of what needs to change - so you can open up more.

She is the greatest listener and she has taught me a lot with her listening alone. She is the only person I will ever train with again. Every voice lesson I had before hers was nothing close in comparison.

my lesson with Rosdeli was one of the best experiences with the music teacher I have ever had. She blends a keen sense of intuition unique for every student with a strong foundation of a wide variety of musical training and background. She is thorough , patient, and dedicated to the success of every student. She taught me
warm ups, how to control my voice, different methods of singing, projection, music theory, and ear training.

"Mike's experience as a composer and vocal coach as well as pianist enables him to tailor lessons to the student's interests. I hired him to do a workshop with a group of flute students and they loved it so much a few who were only registered for one day came back for a second day! The end result was also so fun - these kids weren't singers to begin with, but they totally bought into the mini-musical they created. He has a great rapport with students of all ages - they love him and more importantly they trust him. Whenever anyone asks me if I know a piano/voice teacher I recommend Mike without reservation!"

"What’s great about Fawn is she knows how to show you how to sing different styles like Broadway, jazz, opera, pop, scat singing, blues. She is the best vocal coach I’ve ever had by far. I would ask my other vocal coaches for remedies when my throat got dry and they would say “drink water.” Fawn on the other hand, has all kind of tips and remedies which actually work and she explains to you why you are experiencing certain things in your voice and teaches you how to change those habits. She teaches me how to protect my vocal chords and how to NOT get nodes, which is very helpful. Also, the improvements with her have been immediate and I continue to improve with each lesson. Fawn really is the greatest vocal coach of all."

"Firstly, Jameson is not a voice teacher for money. I do not know anyone who genuinely loves music and singing more than him. Jameson's passion for performing is evident from the moment you meet him. His rates are very reasonable considering the top-notch quality of the lessons. He focuses on the fundamentals of releasing your authentic voice rather than specialized techniques to mimic other performers. He listens carefully to your thoughts and feelings throughout each lesson, adjusting accordingly. He challenges you to express how your body is working with your vocals after each try so that you are able to be aware of your voice outside of lessons as well. He ensures that the lesson is fun and fast-paced so that you can feel great strides in vocal improvement with each time.
Thanks to Jameson, my voice has been freed. I sing strongly, with control, and with passion any chance I get. The confidence Jameson has giving me in my singing voice is quite honestly, priceless."

"Mary Elizabeth is a wonderful teacher. She has really helped me understand how important breath control is for my singing. She has also helped me to feel more comfortable with performing and getting into the character that I am portraying. I have also learned that sometimes stillness is the most powerful thing to express emotion in certain songs. Working with her as a teacher has inspired and encouraged me so much in learning how to sing. She makes learning vocal technique fun!"

Want to Someday Star On Broadway? 3 Tips from an Expert

Dreaming about someday starring on the Broadway stage? Here, Los Angeles, CA teacher Meredith P. shares her expert tips to help you get there...   As an audience member, you can sit back and relax at a Broadway show, and not truly understand the work that it takes to get to that coveted stage and the tremendous blood, sweat, and tears that go into each performance.
