I gig, teach, and tour, full time as a drummer living in NYC. I've played drums for over 13 years and studied with numerous teachers across the country.

I perform rock, gospel, funk, jazz, country, and pop music for audiences all over and can help students identify specific, tailored, course work to help them in whatever genre.

My goal is to help students of all ages and abilities sift through the ocean of content to find the *right* challenges for them so they can play what they want to play.

I am very comfortable with all major areas of Percussion: Drumset, Concert Percussion, Marching Percussion, Latin Percussion, Steel Pan, Percussion Ensemble. I work to find effective ways to have people discover their hidden talents and show them how to build skills to play at whatever level they want.

More than 10 drums to choose from including TABLA, RIQQ, TALKING DRUM, GUNGON, FRAME DRUM, KANJIRA, ATSIMEVU, SOGO, KIDI, KAGANU, and more! 23 years of multi-faceted, multi-cultural, performing experience and 18 years of teaching across from kids to seniors. I am a student of Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri, "Beatrice" Ladzekpo, Andrew Grueschow, and Randy Gloss. Got my MFA from CalArts.

I have been teaching drumset for over 15 years. My lessons focus on applying technique and reading, with snare reading exercises and learning popular songs. Lessons will adjust according to the student's level, pace, and goals.

My goal for my students is to have an understanding on how to use their instrument, develop versatility, discover who they are as a musician, become independent learners, while having fun along the way!

Drumming is one of my greatest passion in life. I have experience playing and teaching in all settings and styles. I tailor my approach for each student and have tons of supplemental material to level up your playing in no time!
