Private Guitar Teacher

I’m a multi-instrumentalist and teacher specializing in electric and acoustic guitar, and artist development. I spent the early ‘80’s as major- label recording artist, and founded the College Radio- dominating band 4 out of 5 Doctors. My major-venue touring/performing credits include tours with The Clash, The Cars, Hall & Oates, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Pat Travers, UFO, even Screamin' Jay Hawkins, to name a few.

I spent the last three years teaching guitar, bass, and band, at my local music academy. During that time, I was fortunate enough to bring in major-name, platinum-selling artists/producers to mentor my younger students, whom they recognized as exceptional.

Application of my musical skills were honed by major record producers, including Jeff Glixman (Kansas, Black Sabbath, KISS) Alan Winstanley (Bush, Elvis Costello, Morrissey), Bil VornDick (Allison Krauss, Bob Dylan, Ricky Skaggs).

I am an adult who has no experience with any type of instrument and was very nervous and intimidated at first. Then I met with Michael, and though there was a ton of information we had to go through, he really made me feel at ease. He has the knowledge, patience, and understanding I was really looking for in a teacher and I'm so happy I found him!

We focus on playing and writing music immediately, the theory is second, music playing and having fun is first!

I'm 30 years old and I have been playing music of all kinds since I was 15. I practiced 3 years before I actually played with anyone and once I did I learned so much more. I don't want you to make the same mistake, try out my 30 minute discount rate and we can make sure you are having fun and playing music in no time, if you want to expand into harder lessons then we can worry about that later.

About Joshua

Guitar is the most amazing instrument to me. I got really lucky because someone gave me an electric when i was 12 and I just played it. I didn't even know they had to be tuned at first! Once I started playing with people I learned so much so fast. I also went to school for recording and am able

I have been teaching guitar for 10 years. I specialize in working with beginners, and love to work with children. Whatever style of music you enjoy, I want you to start learning songs right away and having fun. Then we can see how those songs are built, learning musiv theory to broaden your musical horizons.

About Kellen

I believe this is a great time to be a musician. I have come of age as a musician in a time when music making and the music industry have shifted dramatically. There are many positives in this shift, with new oppurtinites opening up for musicians. I also see these changes not being addressed in

I had been playing guitar for a while, mostly learning songs and chord changes on my own. I wanted to take lessons to work on composing my own songs, and this is where Kellen really helped me. He had a lot of ideas and suggestions that were really helpful in trying to create a unique composing style. He's a trained musician, and it shows when he helps me with music theory and exposing me to lots of different styles of music.

Don does an outstanding job! He is able to connect authentically my son and customized the lessons to fit his learning style and needs. Don has drawn so much out of him musically and has also built a community of students that play together. He makes the lessons fun and engaging. He has opened up my 7-year old to the joy of playing and performing and has helped create a love of music. I highly recommend Don as a music teacher.

"Albert's lessons have really stuck with me--I give him credit for helping me achieve really all of my musical goals. I've played out, been in a rock band, and started writing music, and a ton of that goes back to things I picked up from Albert.

He really tailors the lessons to what you are trying to accomplish. I would recommend Albert to anyone learning guitar."

"Well they say you get good things late in life such is the case with jim rupperto.
I’ve studying with jim now for 6 yrs i’m 63 always wanted to play the classic lead guitar players page, frampton, clapton etc after going through 8 guitar teachers finally found jim at this age and its been the most rewarding experience of my life I’ve learned so much from jim its unimaginable I’m at a level I thought I would never reach composing my own music learning music theory which I had a good handle but Jim brings it to another level. I really don't know what to say, but i will say this if your young don't waste time see jim immediately for an experience you won't forget. I will definitely continue to study with jim, because I know theres even more to learn and I really enjoy our sessions together they are very stimulating and rewarding. thanks for your time palm"

"I had been playing for about 4 years and couldn't really get past a certain point with my guitar skills. I had kinda hit one plateau after another. Derek took my guitar playing to another level. The way he explains the guitar and music is simple but pretty eye opening.

Really loved the way he had my daughter start working immediately on popular songs from her favorite artists--that was just a wonderful way of keeping her interested while also working on basics. "Without a doubt Luther knows music and multiple disciplines from singing to guitar and beyond including being great at humming a tune during my lesson, it helps tremendously to hear the hymn to the chosen lesson song.

Although I'm musically deaf from years of listening to Rock and Roll I'm managing to re-learn guitar from my younger years. Should not have given it up at such a young age but Luther is pushing me to continue, Mr Dudley would be proud! Can't stop now! Brian is counting on me to play lead in "The Band""
