I have been taking lessons from Michael for a few years now, first in his home, and now with Covid online. I look forward to my lessons because Michael is not only very knowledgeable but is very supportive and adaptable.

I have been taking lessons from Michael for about 9 months, and it has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. He is an excellent guitar player, and instructor. He is patient, thorough, and very willing to pace his instruction with the ability of the student. I am in my late 50's and he is just the person I had hoped for in a teacher. I consider going to lesson not a chore, but a pleasure.

While teaching bass is my specialty, I've been teaching guitar for 4 years and have amassed quite the collection. The overwhelming majority of my students at the shops I teach at take lessons on guitar, so most of my time is actually spent teaching guitar. In lessons, we'll cover basic chords, scales, and rhythms, as well as some introductory music theory so the student knows why they're playing what they play.

About Tommy

My name is Tommy. I've been playing bass and guitar since I was 11 years old. When I was in high school, I won my school's Duke Ellington Jazz Performance Award my junior year. Around this time I began to work at my neighborhood's local lesson shop Let's Play Music! off of W Broad Street in Falls C

Mr. Allouch is an excellent instructor. For me, placing my fingers on the guitar is hard, but he taught me to put my fingers in a perpendicular position and to make sure to press hard on the string so it will make a good sound. Thanks to that advice, it is easier to play the notes correctly. He has made it fun for me to learn guitar. He is an excellent guitar player and I am very happy that he has shared his passion with me. Merci beaucoup Mr. Allouch!

I would describe my teaching style as organic and holistic. I believe student needs its own time to digest knowledge and incorporate it. Each lesson should be personalized in order to connect with the needs and goals of each student.
For me it is a pleasure to stimulate curiosity and give tools for an artistic development. I have taught music for 8 years on 1 on 1 classes as well as group workshops. I exceeded as a Core Music Tutor at Berklee College of Music, providing individual hourly tutoring sessions assisting students in the completion of coursework and projects in ear training, and harmony and arranging.

I've taken lessons with Emi as a beginner and later as a more experienced guitarist. Always a great lesson. He's a fantastic teacher for people of any experience level. He goes out of his way to tailor his lessons to whatever you specifically want to learn.
Will
I've been trying to teach myself to play the guitar for months now, and I learned more with Emiliano in 2 lessons than I did in those months. If you really want to learn to play, get a lesson with Emiliano. It is worth it. He makes things easy to understand, and was super patient with me who has zero musical talent. I really cannot recommend him enough.
Matthew
Emiliano is a fantastic teacher. I knew little to nothing about guitar before working with him and he was able to easily walk me through everything. Thanks Emiliano!

"Dan is the real deal, if your interest lies in learning 'music.' I set out to learn theory after years of guessing around the fretboard, and Dan has found a way to make it look understandable, digestible and orderly. It's a language. Dare I say fun? It IS, when you start to understand it the way he teaches it! If you want to "shred Wylde riffs in 4 weeks or less," this isn't for you. If you want to learn music and get much better at your instrument (guitar in my case), this guy is definitely for you. He has the background, formal education, experience and passion to get you there, if you can put the effort."
