Few musicians or music students have identical goals, musical interests or physical size. So, It is NECESSARY to customize the course of study to meet student requirements. There are common issues for any serious pursuit of learning involving the guitar; right and left hand technique, fingerboard knowledge, chord knowledge, reading and interpretation.
However, to progress, it is also necessary for the student to practice daily.
I try to maintain a healthy balance between the focus on performance and technical issues.

About Michael
experience from live performances and studio work across the US and
Europe. He has sung for many labels, publishers, and on jingles. As a
songwriter, he has songs recorded internationally by other artists and
in film. He has a Bachelors of Music in Commercial Vocal Performance
from Belmont University (Nashville, TN). As a vocal instructor, he held
a Masterclass of commercial Voice for the Royal Academy of Music in
London in. Michael works with singers of all levels from beginners to professionals.
*** Lesson Details ***
Michael covers all modern styles of music; pop, soul, jazz,
r&b, country, rock, and on and on. Michael works with all levels
of singers, from beginners to professionals, who want to work on
specific areas.
Michael will help you improve your...
Technique- We will help you improve breathing, phrasing, improving tone, projection and develop range.
Artistry- Some singers already have a sense of "who they are" and
have found their "sound" as artists, and others need help refining it.
We'll look at what songs are great for you, (maybe you write your own)
how to style songs and make them your own and even experiment with
different genres.
Performance skills- It's one thing to sing in a room one on one
with a vocal instructor and quite another to be onstage with an
audience with all eyes on you as you stand in front of the mic. How do
you connect with your audience? How do you handle nerves? How do you
talk between songs? Some of these things are learned best from
experience. Most singers are working on their voice because they want
to perform. Michael will provide opportunities for performance
experience for each artist when each individual is ready.
Be an Intelligent singer- Learn how to be ready for an audition.
How to communicate with a band /accompanists. How to know what keys you
need your songs in. Learn about singing harmonies/backing vocals. Learn
about recording vocals in the studio.
This is what one new student had to say about their first lesson with Michael...
"I had SO much fun
this past Sunday, Michael. I already feel like I learned a great deal. You are
such a fun and easy going teacher. Can't wait for the next one. Thanks!"

His unique and innovative approach to vocal warm ups has helped me to find and define my vocal range.
He also happens to be an excellent vocal arranger, having helped me to add vocal accents to my songs that have given them new life.
Thank you for everything Michael!

He also explained in detail what the problem areas were and how to fix them. Describing with words how to use the human voice is no easy task, but he knows exactly how to get the point across.
I was originally pessimistic about online lessons, but I thought I'd try it since I couldn't find anyone with credentials and experience like Michael's in Atlanta for less than a gajillion an hour. I was pleasantly surprised. I can sing in the comfort of my own home, and it's just like he's right there with me.
Thanks Michael!

About Aaron
"I love watching young musicians grow into seasoned players and have had tremendous success with all my students. I believe that learning songs and playing music is a critical element in the learning process of becoming a good drummer/pianist, and musician. This is why I bring a powered PA speaker, mp3 player, and (sometimes) a guitar to my lessons for the student to play along with and learn familiar songs. Over the years I've learned to strike a balance between Reading/Rudiments and Playing/having fun, so as to maintain students interests and growth."

About Nicole K.
CloseWe will work on mic handling, cable wrapping, stage presence, how to work a crowd, and how to perform in different arenas. My degree and experience in the studio has equipped me with a chameleon like vocal ability to mimic an array of vocal styles and genres and I can train you to do the same!
About Nicole
My Background:
I have been singing since the age of four! I am a native of Miami Beach Florida. I started performing in church and school where my passion for performing were developed. Having come from such a background I was privileged with a well rounded musical tastes, from Gospel in church Classical in school, and Reggae, Pop, Rock, and R&B from her parents. In performing in contests and local shows I learned a lot about stage presence and can share that with my students as well. I earned my bachelor's in Studio Music and Jazz Voice at the University of Miami and Minored in Music Business. At UM I had the opportunity to study with critically acclaimed Jazz musicians and artists such as Kevin Mahogany, Kurt Elling and John Secada. S
My main objective as a performer is to effectively and skillfully entertain a variety of audiences to the best of my ability using the knowledge that I have attained from my experiences as a student and as an entertainer, and in turn work for an established business in the music industry and become a successful artist.
My objective as an educator is to not only teach my students about music but allowing them to grow and flourish as performers and as musicians, with proper technique the skies the limit!
*** Lesson Details ***
My teaching style is pretty laid back and fun, it will take work and dedication on the part of my students to work on the new skills and techniques they will be learning under my direction. In the first 2 months we will focus on technique, meaning breathing exercises, vowel placements, warm ups, and execution of a song of the students choice, by the third month these exercises would have improved your vocals ability tremendously we can then work on stylizing for the particular genre your interested in singing in. Each student will have a personally tailored lesson plan to better help them in their goals to be a better singer and performer. I do prefer students in the age ranges 12 and up, only because the voice hasn't fully developed yet to do extensive vocalizing but with younger students we can focus on breathing, warming up properly and theory, which is so important at a young age and will better assist you especially when it comes to developing your ears. If you're wanting to learn to sing in different styles without losing your voice or hurting yourself I'm the teacher for you!
*** Studio Equipment ***
Keyboard in living Room: couches and chairs, parents can sit in on lesson
*** Travel Equipment ***
Keyboard should be provided by student, I will provide mic and amp

It is a true privilege taking lessons with Nikki. She is an amazing vocalist who has a unique voice. Also, she is a very sweet and positive person that has been capable to bring the best out of my kids Giulianna and Nickolas who love taking classes with her.
Over the past three years she has increased their vocal quality as well as their confidence on stage.
I highly recommend Nicole Kidd as a vocal coach.

My son is 4 years old and has only had two sessions with Eli however, he does a very good job of communicating with him on his level and keeping his focus. He also has given him practice exercises which seem to do the trick.

Students will learn the way life works through the art of music. Should the students decide to pursue music or not in the future, I only hope that students will apply what they've learned in music to their everyday problem solving.

The thing that makes Trevor stand out to me is that he took the time to get to know what I wanted to learn and to figure out how I like to learn. He comes prepared to the lessons with material, answers any questions I have during the week by email and has worked with me to develop a specific education plan to meet my goals.
I suggest taking a trial lesson with this guy to see if you're on the same page. I am definitely not going anywhere else while I live in Austin.

Music lessons with me include performance experiences from middle school concerts all the way to performing for 27,000 people as a soloist. As a performer for the past 9 years I have played small town festivals for 50 people all the way tp playing along side people/ entertainers such as The O'Jays, Chaka Kahn, Lisa Lisa and Full Force, The US Army Blues Jazz Ensemble, headlining the biggest jazz festival in Texas for multiple years, and many other performance opportunities. I don't use a systematic approach to students, I use an individual based approach because of three simple facts; All humans are built differently, there are multiple ways to absorb knowledge, and all people learn at a different pace. These facts are a factor of my teaching style and pedagogical approach and is why I approach all students differently. Along with my pedagogy I have an exam of one public performance every 6 weeks. As the students get older and more experienced these opportunities become more often and

I am a full-time performing musician. I lead my own project (Christopher the Conquered) and regularly play 100-200 shows/year. I have been performing live in a variety groups for 18 years. I have opened for artists such as Leon Russell, Andrew Bird, and Gin Blossoms.
Great performance is about presence, preparedness, and positivity. Going into a show with "the Three P's" (yes, I made that up, haha) insures your performance will be vital, full of energy, and able to adapt to the needs of the room and the audience. Over the course of 1000 shows, I have developed a guide to making every performance a great one, regardless of the hurdles.
Please look up my performance videos online for examples of my style.
About Christopher
I have worked in an official capacity for the non-profit ArtForce Iowa, teaching piano, voice, and songwriting to court-appointed youth. I have also taught piano to adults, and lead an annual songwriting course at the University of Iowa's Young Writer's Workshop.
My main musical project is called Christopher the Conquered. You can look it up online to hear samples of my work and to watch videos of my live performances. My music has appeared in films and commercials as well.
For in-person lessons, I have a portable recording rig that I can use to record students who are ready to share what they've learned, whether it be with friends/fami
