Jaqueline is a pleasure to learn with. She's a great teacher who really understands each students' needs and tailors the instruction as needed.

I have been working with Jaqueline for about 8 months now, and can say that she is a very good teacher. She will focus on your strengths and use them to help you learn. She remains flexible to schedule needs and keeps good notes on your progress and what you have learned so far as well as where you are going. I need to learn Portuguese for my work and so she was very focused on keeping my lessons moving from the very basics to ultimately technical terms and meeting conversations. I don't believe I would be productive without her help.

Mitchell C.

North Salt Lake, UT 84054

About Mitchell

I am a student at the University of Utah, studying Health and Kinesiology.
I play ukulele and sing in a band called "The Tempo Squares" in SLC for over 2 years. But my music experience all started when I was 7 years old, with the piano.
I have sang and played a variety of instruments over my life including piano, trombone, drums, bass guitar and I am learning acoustic guitar right now. The ukulele was something I started in high school, and I've loved it ever since I picked it up. I would consider it to be my favorite of all the instruments I know.

I love to perform music, and I love seeing people progress. Anyone can play the ukulele, and I'm here to help you reach your uke goals.

Let's get started!

About liliana

Hello, my name is Liliana W. I am of Spanish descent and have been a Spanish speaker my entire life. While I grew up in Los Angeles, CA, I was an ESL student until 4th grade where I transitioned exclusively to English taught classes. The first language I learned and spoke was Spanish. I understand the importance of basic grammar and mechanics and educate my students on how to use basic building blocks of sentence structure. My systematic approach to teaching students is to present them with very clear learning objectives and helping them reach those objectives. Learning a new language is a very tricky thing. But with my approach, this experience will be easy, fun, and very rewarding!

Bgcheck Background Checked

About Andrew

Portuguese is my life and passion.
I have lived in Brazil for two years and Portugal for 3 months--I understand and can teach the accents from both places.
I am a Portuguese teacher but I also practice medicine on the side as a Physician Assistant.
I previously taught Portuguese to students who needed to develop and learn the language in a matter of 2 months so that they could jump right into working and providing service in Brazil full-time.
The best way to learn the language is through a variety of channels, such as music, videos, interpersonal communication, and various apps. I will utilize resources that are enjoyable for students to do at home to maximize their learning that is specific to them.

Chilo G.

Salt Lake City, UT 84107

Bgcheck Background Checked

About Chilo

I'm a first generation American. Growing up in my household we only spoke Spanish, it wasn't until I started going to kindergarten where I was forced to learn English. I understand the struggles of learning a second language and my style of teaching is a practical one, one where you will use what you learn on a daily basis.

I have a 16-month-old son who I am teaching Spanish along with English. I have mentored students in Spanish for the past 10 years and translated for school districts and companies during that time.

When I visit my family in Texas and Mexico we still speak Spanish as the primary language, no Spanglish allowed at my parents house. Some of my interests outside of my Mexican culture including Martial Arts, Computers and Photography.
