About Nader

I am a violinist and composer. I have trained more than 1200 students in more than twenty five years of my teaching carrier.

*** Lesson Details ***
Each lesson includes scales, arpeggios, etudes, duets and a new piece of music from different eras of music. I emphasize on tone production, correct intonation, accurate rhythm, reading skills, as well as an expressive and strong vibrato. My primary goal is to train students to become an excellent violinist, to play numerous compositions with the highest musicality and interpretation.
My studio at my home is a spacey room that is properly ventilated and well lit, possessing enough chairs available for both my students and possible guests. There are two music stands and an electric Suzuki piano, which can be used for accompaniment in our lessons, especially in preparation for upcoming con

certs.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I have a 2012 Toyota Corolla car, with a trunk that has ample space to house and carry my instruments and music stands as they are needed.

*** Specialties ***
Patience and communicating in an effective way and encouraging students to practice without regarding such a task as a chore.

He is very patient and has excellent communication skills. I have no knowledge of how to play the violin or music of any kind. After my first lesson I strongly feel he will be my private instructor for many years to come. I left with proper technique of how this instrument is to be cared for and good posture when practicing. He also informed me of the books we will be incorporating into my lessons. Most importantly homework is given and he is very patient and explains everything at your level.

I was very pleased with my first lesson with Nader. He is very kind and patient. We covered some basic points with what we'll be covering for my lessons with the cello. His instructions and explanations of technique is very clear I feel my lessons with him will be very beneficial and enjoyable.

Mr. Nader is an excellent instructor who always puts his students first. He customizes his lessons in accordance to each individual and patiently works with them so that they may achieve their optimum potential.

More than just a passive teacher of the violin, Mr. Nader dedicates his time and energy as a full time instructor of violin, cello, and music theory. Furthermore, Mr. Nader exhibits a level of knowledge, intellect, understanding, and culture rarely seen in the world today. When one walks into his music room, one will be struck with awe at not only the amount of books in Mr. Nader's library collection, but also the wide variety of subjects ranging from Music, Music History, Biographies, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, and many more. However, do not think that these books are just for display. Quite the contrary, one short conversation with Mr. Nader will show that he is well versed in all these subjects; a modern incarnation of the Renaissance polymath. Building off of his broad knowledge base, Mr. Nader not only teaches one how to play an instrument, he also teaches one how to cultivate oneself in Music and the culture from which it originates.

With a passion for Music and a yearn to pass on higher culture to the avid learner, Mr. Nader is the best instructor for all those who wish to learn Music along with its connection to the history, society, and culture from which it springs.

About Amy

I’m a professional singer-songwriter, performing and recording artist. I signed my first publishing deal in Los Angeles in 2004 and spent three years studying music at the Biola Conservatory of Music. I left school to jump on my first tour, opening for Kate Voegele and the Veronicas. I toured the U.S and Europe for many years opening for such acts as: Damien Rice, Colbie Caillat, Andy Grammer and Gavin Rossdale. During that time, I also wrote, recorded and released my own songs as well as songs for film and television. My songs have been placed on: Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, Macy’s (Thanksgiving and Christmas campaigns), Catfish (The Movie), Kleenex, Pringles, So You Think You Can Dance, The Blacklist, Teen Wolf and Hemlock Grove, GUILT, the Runaways and The Rook.

In 2012, I began writing with Michelle Branch and realized my love f

or co-writing lyrics! Though melody is equally as important as lyrics, I love diving into the story, poetry and the words each specific artist is drawn to. Instead of just trying to copy whatever is on Spotify or on the radio, I love hearing an individual’s perspective and writing their story uniquely to them. I want every word, every lyric to MEAN something so that, if you were to take even ONE word out, it would change the story. I don’t like using filler words like “Yea”, “Baby” “oh oh oh”….etc. haha. My favorite songs are “Landslide” and “Hallelujah”. I strive every day to write something that sets the bar high. I use a multitude of creative writing techniques to inspire lyrical concepts… Metaphors, similes, “webbing” (as I like to call it), and imperfect rhyming. I believe the rules to songwriting can be broken. Not everything HAS to rhyme! A song doesn’t have to be three minutes and thirty seconds long! The structure doesn’t have to be perfect.

I am currently signed to Kobalt Music Publishing where I’m booked to write lyrics for different artists each day. I’ve had songs cut by: Kelly Clarkson, AKON, Rita Ora, Michelle Branch, Tori Kelly, Icona Pop, Adam Lambert, Jason Mraz, Jojo, Christina Perri, LIGHTS and Damien Rice. I would love to write a song with you! I would love to hear your story, know your favorite songs, hear the words you like to use, the way YOU see life and describe feelings. Every writer can carve his/her own path and I’m here to help you sharpen your tools. I’m down to come to you, Skype, or you’re welcome to my home in East Hollywood.

About Alexa

Hello! My name is Alexa and I am a professional singer and actor in the Philadelphia area. I received my BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of the Arts and I specialize in Musical Theatre voice and performance, though my training and expertise also delves into classical, pop, and jazz. I have been teaching both group and private voice lessons for the past 5 years, and I currently teach through a studio where I have 8 private voice students.

As a working actor, I know what the audition scene is like and I am skilled in helping with audition prep! I also recently curated, designed, and produced a duet cabaret with me and a fellow friend and performer that had a very successful outcome, so I would love to help with any cabaret or performance ideas.

My teaching style is extremely tailored to the individual student and focuses

on their strengths and interests. I also take the performance aspect of singing into account when teaching, and I use the joy of the overall performance to inform the voice and solidify the vocal technique.

Maintenance 101: Caring For Your Drum Set Cymbals

By Suzy S.

Taking special precautions and caring for your instrument is important for all musicians - just taking a few minutes to clean your guitar, for example, can ensure a longer life of strumming and jamming. Similarly, taking good care of your drum set is an important habit to keep up.  Too many drummers forget the importance of keeping their drum set clean, and tend to pack up their equipment carelessly.  Cymbals, especially, are easily forgotten during this process.  Taking a few minutes to c …
